This study aims to analyze the institutional capacity building of the Lore Lindu National Park, determine the objective mechanisms and constraints for the development of the Lore Lindu National Park, and design alternative designs for the LLNP institution. The research data were obtained by conducting interviews, observation, and focus group discussions using the Structural Interpretation Modeling analysis technique used to formulate institutional alternatives in the future. The results of the institutional analysis show that the key element in the Lore Lindu National Park management program is the Lore Lindu National Park Hall, which is a sub-driving element at the first level in the hierarchical structure and requires support from stakeholders and local government, especially traditional leaders and community leaders. The main obstacle to LLNP management, which is a key element, is the massive illegal clearing of land in LLNP, weak monitoring and control of illegal activities in LLNP, and lack of coordination and integration of natural resource management among stakeholders related to LLNP management. The results of the Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) analysis are expected between stakeholders, ministerial agencies, and local governments to guarantee partnerships for the sustainability of the Lore Lindu National Park not only for now but also for the future. Eradication of the drug menace is the centerpiece program of the Duterte administration. The President claims there are more than 4 million drug users in the country. The police, used the “tok tok-hangyo” or “knock and appeal” approach, to encourage drug users, pushers and others involved to surrender and stop their illegal activities. The nationwide response was overwhelming as 1,176,523, pushers and users submitted voluntarily to authorities. In Tanauan, Leyte, 396 persons, and still increasing, surrendered. Without a national blueprint on how to deal with this problem, Local Governments are left to craft their own programs to help their constituents. The Transformational Rehabilitation Plan Community-Based Approach to Drug Prevention and Moral Recovery Program, a 3-Phases modular approach was implemented with a general objective to enable the participant to understand the process of healing and recovery from their old lifestyles and embrace the new life for the future.

The main objective of this final degree project is to analyze the information that the city councils of the 50 capitals of Spanish provinces offer to entrepreneurs through their institutional pages, using the content analysis technique. The results obtained corroborate the existence of an implication, although still modest, of the municipalities of the Spanish provincial capitals in relation to the promotion of entrepreneurship and business ecosystems. These results should help the municipalities to reflect on the important work they perform, and in the future these studies will serve to reflect the deficiencies observed in order to improve the information offered.

  The welfare level of the population in Wasur Park village is still very low and most still hang its life by taking the result of the forest. This study aims to analyze the role of Wasur Park National Park in increasing local people's income. The method by which researchers use a qualitative approach, while the data collection techniques consist of library studies and field studies through observation, interviews. The process of data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and the conclusion of the empowerment of the National Park Wasur Park Hall is counseling to the local community in the framework of the Empowerment Program of local Kampung Wasur Park. In the empowerment, Wasur Park National Park is coordinating with local governments to see the development of local community data. The real evidence of Wasur Park National Park through empowerment is the establishment of a rural forestry Counseling Center (SPKP). The establishment of a rural forestry Counseling Center (SPKP) in Wasur Village, implemented after the implementation of education and training of village studies in participatory. Furthermore, Wasur Park National Park Hall conducts construction. The construction is a construction of small industry of eucalyptus oil refining, the manufacture of salted fish, medicinal plants, and the cultivation of commercial crops. Then the community in providing coaching through socialization by providing science about preserving the forest and protection and safeguarding the potential of Wasur National Park area. Then Wasur Park National Park Hall conducts supervision. Supervision conducted by the National Park Hall Wasur Park is monitoring against the hunting of many protected animals located in Wasur Park National Park area. In the Garden Hall program, Wasur Park is monitoring and evaluation of habitat and population. The Wasur Park National Park Hall conducts a regular patrol, preventing wild hunters from Wasur Park National Park. Then patrol is also done to prevent forest fires.

With the continuous development of the mining industry, the world’s major mines have gradually entered the intelligent stage. In intelligent underground mines, the operation roads of the underground transportation equipment are very complicated, and the monitoring and control of the underground traffic have become the problems to be solved in the intelligent underground mines. Therefore, on the basis of solving the practical problems of underground mines, the concept paper discusses the possibility of the communication-based train control (CBTC) system being applied to underground mines through the summary and induction of the related literature. As mining engineers, we have proposed the function design for the CBTC system to solve the problems in underground mine rail transportation, but we still need to continue to work hard for the future development of the underground mines. The concept paper serves as a guide to the Tossing out a brick to get a jade gem, and it has implications for the development and the future of underground mine transportation.

Purpose This paper aims to investigate the political involvement of a corporate foundation (CF) though CSR under two perspectives: CF managers and the sponsor firm managers. Design/methodology/approach A single case with a Brazilian CF was conducted. Interviews with sponsor firms and foundations managers were combined with firms’ sustainability reports data and CF’s website information. Findings It was found that CF acts as an ambassador and can be a source of political legitimacy for their sponsor firm. They intermediate in governance challenges as the goals and working style of the CF, firms and municipalities can be sometimes antagonistic. Research limitations/implications The authors could not reach the municipalities officials and their perception of the Public Management Program (PMP). Practical implications The PMP creates personal and organizational relationships with public officials, a resource that can be employed to impact the political strategies of the sponsor firm. Social implications The authors also show how CF’s may help managers to deal with the typical Brazilian peculiarity of policy discontinuity in local governments. Originality/value This case study sheds light a new phenomenon: CF’s support on public management. It adds to the CSR and corporate political activities literature, the role of foundations as ambassadors of the relationship between the firm, government and society. They are not only filling gaps left by the State but are also dealing with local governments administrative deficiencies.

Lembaga swadaya masyarakat ini berupaya memperjuangkan hak komunitas lokal dalam isu kebijakan penetapan kawasan taman nasional. Tujuan penulisan ini mengidentifikasi peran dan strategi Yayasan Tanah Merdeka (YTM) dalam memperjuangkan hak komunitas Orang Katu atas penetapan Kawasan Taman Nasional Lore Lindu Sulawesi Tengah. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan disajikan secara deskriptif. Studi mengungkapkan YTM memainkan peran strategis dalam menciptakan hegemoni tandingan atas kebijakan penetapan kawasan Taman nasional Lore Lindu di wilayah komunitas Orang Katu. Hal ini dilakukan dengan membentuk kesadaran kolektif, melibatkan komunitas dalam gerakan akar rumput, mengembangkan strategi perjuangan melalui penyusunan dokumen pengelolaan sumber daya alam berbasis pengetahuan lokal serta, penggunaan terminologi masyarakat adat sebagai instrumen perjuangan yang dihubungkan dengan wacana hak global sehingga menjadi kekuatan yang konstitutif dalam arena politik pengelolaan sumber daya alam pada tingkat lokal.  Kata kunci: Lembaga swadaya masyarakat, gerakan masyarakat adat, kebijakan taman nasional   This non-governmental organization seeks to fight for the rights of local communities in the policy issue of setting the national park area. This paper aims to identify the role of Yayasan Tanah Merdeka (YTM) in the struggling rights of the Orang Katu community for the establishment of the Lore Lindu National Park Area. Data is collected using qualitative methods and presented descriptively. The study revealed that YTM played a strategic role in creating counter-hegemony over the policy of establishing Lore Lindu National Park in the Katu community area. Conducted by establishing collective awareness, involving communities in grassroots movements, the strategy is developed through the preparation of documents on the management of natural resources based on local knowledge as well as, the use of indigenous terminology that is connected with global rights discourse to become a constitutive force in the political arena of natural resource management at the local level. The community role is needed in the implementation of mangrove forest tourism management, especially in planning activities. The role of the community is the involvement of community itself in the development activities, both in the planning, implementation, evaluation, and the stages of esnjoying the results of the development itself. The purpose in this descriptive qualitative study was to determine the role of community in managing mangrove forest tourism in the subdistrict of Sukadana of Kayong Utara regency. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. While the analysis was carried out with descriptive analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that the role of of the sejahtera village community in managing mangrove forest tourism is limited to the maintenance of natural resources, maintenance of cleanliness and nursery of mangrove forests. Due to mangrove forest management is still fully managed by The Gunung Palung National Park Agency, the role of the community in the management of tourism in mangrove forests is still low. Therefore, the involvement of the surrounding community needs special attention and other related parties in utilizing mangrove forest tourism.Keyword: community role, mangrove forest, themanagement of mangrove tourism

In the era of regional autonomy, managements in local governments set out accountability and transparency in managing the regional public finance including planning, budgeting, implementation, administering, reporting, accountable and controlling. As from writer’s observation of development performance in Merauke regency, it revealed that there was inadequate development in reaching the ideal development performance although the management was generally well-managed. This paper applied Public Finance Management analysis technique to analyse primary data. The results showed the overall score was 52% from total statements which including 9 sectors. The highest scores were in the planning, cash management, procurement as well as accounting and reporting areas. Key words: Public Finance, Management, Accountability.

Urban open spaces (e.g. urban parks) play a pivotal role in improving the quality of life of city dwellers through accommodating various physical and social activities, while further creating social coherence for sustainable development. Due to the shortage of open green spaces in the city, caused by rapid urbanization in developing countries, some big, long-standing urban public spaces such as district parks have been retained, and improved to serve as the main public space for local people. However, such spaces commonly provide outdated, low quality facilities that discourage people from using the park. To satisfy users’ needs, local governments have launched campaigns to improve parks based on the ideas of domestic or foreign designers. The purpose of this research is to explore different behaviors of residents in an open space in Da Nang (Vietnam) which can support the future development and improvement of local open space in accordance with environmental behavior theory. User behaviors were identified and categorized based on their activities in the open space, collected using the place-centered behavior mapping method. Results of the statistical analysis revealed that this open space could be divided into three types, each of which had four dimensions: public facilities setting; openness; accessibility; and recreational facilities. The findings showed some aspects that need to be considered during the development process of open space as follows: 1) increasing the quantity and quality of public amenities; 2) separating accessible space and/or buffer space from already used space inside the park, particularly in the entrance zone; 3) providing space adjacent to the lake; and 4) removing obstacles (e.g. walls around the park) to give a clearer view from inside the park to the streets outside and vice versa. Also, the calculation model of evidence-based designs provides input data for re-planning or creating public space/parks to help designers, planners and authorities improve or design better open spaces in the future.
