<p><strong>Abstract.</strong> The intent of this paper is to demonstrate the cultural value that Virtual Heritage experiences can generate. As a proof of concept, game resolution assets were optimized from high polygon image based models (IBMs) and rendered in real-time, within a Head Mounted Display (HMD). The case study of lot 3317 was chosen to facilitate heuristic explorations pertinent to the history of the St. Lawrence Seaway, Canada. This case study explores methods in creating and validating heritage values, while valourizing assets as a cultural resources for use in the future. While at the same time, challenging the current spatial dynamics by conceptually reducing the distance between the viewer and the flooded landscape. In addition to demonstrating the cultural values generated through the veneration of lot 3317, the paper aims to provide a model for optimizing and post processing meshes produced through Under-Water Image-Base Modelling.</p>

This case study examines and illustrates within country regional cultural differences and cross border cultural similarities across four western European countries. Drawing on the data from the World Values Survey (WVS), we refer to the Schwartz Cultural Values Inventory in the survey. The demographic variables of age, gender, education level, marital status and income vary across the regions and hence, have significant effects on the cultural value dimensions across regions. The findings help a better understanding of the homogeneity and heterogeneity of regions withinand across countries. Both researchers and managers will have to justify their sampling methods and generalisations more carefully when drawing conclusions for a whole country. This case study underlines the limited knowledge about regional within country cultural differences, while also illustrating the simplification of treating each country as culturally homogeneous. Cross-country business strategies connecting transnational regional markets based on cultural value characteristics need to take these similarities and differences into account when designating business plans.

Abstract: Pesantren tends to have an adaptive response towards social changes in community life. This research employed a qualitative approach by using a case study to discern the adaptive strategy of an Islamic boarding school. Then, the data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentaries. Next, they were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, namely data collection, condensation, data display, and conclusions drawing simultaneously. Finally, the validity of the data was gained through triangulation. The study results showed that pesantren has actively adapted themselves towards these social demands. Furthermore, it shows that 1) the dialectics of pesantren and social community in transforming cultural values through formal education was done by establishing several formal educations; 2) the dialectics of pesantren and social community in transforming cultural values through non-formal education was done by establishing several non-formal religious-based institutions through pesantren activities. Abstrak: Pesantren dalam kehidupan masyarakat memiliki sikap adaptif terhadap perubahan. The UNESCO Global Geoparks is a good didactic instrument that allows teaching territorial elements in transversal way. The geopark provides a means to address the teaching-learning process of both cultural values and natural values, including geology. This paper aims to highlight the educational activities that have emerged from the Villuercas UNESCO Global Geopark. For this purpose, a qualitative methodology based on document analysis and fieldwork has been used. Through a system of categories, we have analyzed the existing materials on the geopark’s website, its activity book and the schools that have been part of its educational project. The geopark and educational centers collaboration has 76 educational proposals that are developed in the territory of the geopark. Since 2011, all schools in its area of action participate in its educational project with a total of 2500 students per year. The Villuercas geopark involves all students in its territory and encourages learning of a significant, transversal and collaborative type. This article examines a significant change in the hierarchies of value in cultural production in urban Cape Town, where there has been a bifurcation of theatre in the urban centre and on the township periphery. Theatre at these two sites differs in aesthetic character, themes and infrastructural resources, which derive from a history of legislated racial separatism that is still evident today socially, culturally, educationally and in the development of the city itself. Here, I identify changes that have come about in recent years not so much because of the government's policy of redress, but because leading artists are using their pre-eminence and institutions to catalyse educational experiences, performance platforms and a positive marketing environment for theatre and artists from the townships. The Baxter Theatre and its Zabalaza Festival serve as a case study.

The people of Makassar, which are part of South Sulawesi, certainly have abundant cultural diversity, including the inheritance of character values and manners for the younger generation. Like the cultural conditions in general. Until now no one has been able to maintain the status quo of the culture itself. This study aims to determine: 1) How is the degradation of the socio-cultural values of Lontara characters such as the value of siri, pacce, sipakatau, reso among millennials in Antang Village. 2) What are the forms of changes in the socio-cultural value of the Lontara script among millennials in Antang Village. The research method used is descriptive qualitative often referred to as naturalistic research methods. The approach used in this research is the case study approach, the author uses the case study approach because an intensive empirical study investigating real life is carried out, the informants totaled five people with different backgrounds. Data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, documentation. The data analysis technique uses descriptive-analytical methods, namely data reduction, data presentation, verification. The results of this study indicate that the community sees the character of the millennial generation as having undergone significant changes. The cultural values of the Lontara script have begun to be forgotten, even most of them only know and have minimal application in everyday life, this can be seen with the absorption of understanding modernism, pragmatism, materialism, secularism, hedonism, and ethnocentrism. As for the forms of changes in the socio-cultural value of the Lontara script, there is an attitude of individualism in the millennial generation, behaving at will, discriminating against, dependence, loosening of ties, feeling insecure and promiscuity, consumptive behavior, and a lack of understanding of the millennial generation of cultural understanding.

Indonesia as a multicultural country has a rich range of performing arts. These assets encourage artists and the government to conduct festivals, exhibitions, and cultural exchanges. However, the programs are not always managed optimally, particularly with regards to curatorial management. This paper presents a study aiming at: (1) identifying the roles of curator in conducting performing art festivals to sustain the culture; (2) investigating challenges faced by the curators in doing their tasks. A descriptive qualitative method in the form of a case study was employed using three instruments, namely field observation, interview, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed to define the principles of curatorial management and its role in conducting performing art festivals. It was revealed during the interviews that there were no standard operational procedures (SOP) yet in doing curatorial tasks, so the curators identified and undertook tasks under their own initiative. Some curators stated that their lack of curatorial knowledge made them lack the confidence to invite the well-known artists. As a result, they tended to invite the artists based on pre-existing familiarity. A further challenge was the lack of official authority which hampered the execution of curat.
