The article informs and provides an analysis on the qualitative and quantitative level of the data regarding the folklore of the calendar customs (spring, summer, autumn), which were digitized within the project Saving the Folkloric Archival Material Preserved in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova (EAP1045). Transgressed from the classic archiving format to the digitized one, the manuscripts and cassette tapes offer us valuable information gathered between 1956-1992, with reference to the folklore of the feasts celebrated in the warm season of the year, as well as of the customs, social, ceremonial and ritual practices, beliefs and mythical representations associated with them. Evaluating the consistency of documenting these folkloric and ethnographic expressions in the archival materials, we noticed inequalities and prioritizations in their recording and researching, the attention of the folclorists being visibly diffused towards other genres of folklore.

AbstractThis article shows how one can read political history from evidence on corporate corruption. The study exploits newly discovered archival material from Banque de Paris et des Pays-Bas, a politically connected investment bank. We contribute to current research by replacing existing conjectures with precise qualitative and quantitative evidence. After reviewing previous works and providing a sketch of information repression and media control in France during the interwar period, we argue that the study of patterns of ‘informational criminality’ provides an original entry to the writing of political history and the history of information.

Abstract Post-transcriptional RNA quality control is a vital issue for all eukaryotes to secure accurate gene expression, both on a qualitative and quantitative level. Among the different mechanisms, nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD) is an essential surveillance system that triggers degradation of both aberrant and physiological transcripts. By targeting a substantial fraction of all transcripts for degradation, including many alternative splicing variants, NMD has a major impact on shaping transcriptomes. Recent progress on the transcriptome-wide profiling and physiological analyses of NMD-deficient plant mutants revealed crucial roles for NMD in gene regulation and environmental responses. In this review, we will briefly summarize our current knowledge of the recognition and degradation of NMD targets, followed by an account of NMD’s regulation and physiological functions. We will specifically discuss plant-specific aspects of RNA quality control and its functional contribution to the fitness and environmental responses of plants.

SummaryA twin study was undertaken with the twofold aim (a) of studying the hereditary behaviour of digital dermatoglyphic traits both at the qualitative and quantitative level, and (b) of working out a method for discriminating MZ and DZ twins by means of fingerprints.Fingerprints of 50 MZ (25 ♂ and 25 ♀) and 50 DZ (25 ♂ and 25 ♀) twin pairs were thus examined and analyzed by means of a special methodology and of a 7044/K32 IBM computer. The qualitative analysis has shown a significantly higher concordance in MZ than in DZ twin pairs, with a certain variability of single finger concordance values. The quantitative analysis has shown significantly higher correlation values in MZ than in DZ twin pairs, with very limited confidence intervals in the former. Single ridge counts apparently behave as cumulative counts on the five or ten fingers, although with an obviously higher random variability.Digital dermatoglyphics thus appear to show practically complete genetic conditioning, which, rather than at a cumulative level for the ten fingers, as is largely believed, appears to act on single finger quali-quantitative traits. The total finger ridge count, rather than a trait, only appears to be a useful, but artificial cumulative value. Actually, applied to the diagnosis of zygosity, it provides, by itself, a fairly high, general probability (0.86) of a correct diagnosis.

The article describes features of the regulatory and institutional mechanisms of cybersecurity at the national and regional levels and determines the role of the leading states of the region in shaping the digitalization vector of the economy. The methodological basis of the study includes systemic-structural, formal-logical and hermeneutical methods of scientific knowledge using special legal methods of cognition (comparative legal and historical legal). The national approaches of ASEAN member states in information security are determined by many factors, which affects the level of security in a specific state. The unification of standards will help achieve several goals: the sustainability of the digital economic system of the region, the growth of the qualitative and quantitative level of training, the increase in the investment attractiveness of the financial sector, and simplification of the procedures for creating FinTech companies.

In recent years the Republic of Moldova has implemented a set of reforms in order to increase the efficiency of agricultural production. The main purpose of this paper is to highlight economic advantages and disadvantages of large and small scale farms, and also to focus on the multidimensional role of the small scale farming for rural areas. The methodology used in the article is based on analysis of statistical data, as well as on results of relevant qualitative and quantitative surveys. The main expected results of this paper lay in the proposals of ways in which agriculture can make a contribution to the vibrancy of rural communities from the Republic of Moldova.

The article presents the results on qualitative and quantitative indicators of phytoplankton of the Prut River lower sector within the Republic of Moldova in 2018-2020. In phytoplankton compositions 72 species were identified. Seasonal and long-term patterns of phytoplankton development have been established in Prut River lower sector. The numbers of phytoplankton changed within the limits 1,06 to 20,32 mln. cell/l, with biomass 1,23-21,64 g/m3. The values of saprobic indexes, estimated on the basis of species-indicators (52 species) from phytoplankton composition, which are in proportion of 58% typically β-mezosaprobic, confirm the following: the water quality of lower Prut River sector in the period 2018-2020 was satisfactory for the development of phytoplankton and was attributed mainly to II-III (good-moderately polluted) quality classes.

The trade (qualitative and quantitative level of trade) can promote the concept of sustainable development. The concept of Sustainable Development involves the implementation of theoretical and practical components for making decisions in any situation in which features a man-type medium, be it the environment, economic or social. The goals of sustainable development include the harmonization of the economic, social and environmental targets. This paper presents the main types of the correlations: Trade – Sustainable Development – Economic Crisis. The Sustainable Development (SD) concept is also analyzed in direct correlation with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) concept. The SD concept involves the implementation of theoretical and practical components for making decisions in any situation in which a man-type medium, be it the environment, economic or social features. The Corporations (qualitative and quantitative level of trade) can promote the concept of sustainable development. The goals of sustainable development include the harmonization of the economic, social and environmental targets. This paper presents the main research on the main types of the correlations: Corporate Social Responsibility (including trade) – Sustainable Development – Economic Crisis.

It is shown that most of the unusual properties of the lowest lying scalar (and pseudoscalar) mesons can be understood, at the qualitative and quantitative level, on the basis of the breakdown of the UA(1) symmetry coupled to the vacuum expectation values of scalars by the spontaneous breaking of chiral symmetry.

Traditionally, the shoreline hindcast under the influence of changing marine conditions has been considered by means of existing robust shoreline evolution models, such as one-line, multi-line, combined or 3D models. All of them require long data series, many calibration parameters and are computationally intensive. This study presents a new shoreline evolution model considering the integration of cross-shore, planform and rotation equilibrium-based models, applicable over time-scales spanning days, months or several years. The new model successfully reaches the general erosion-accretion trend at a qualitative and quantitative level. As the main conclusion, this is a simple equilibrium-based shoreline evolution model that requires few calibration parameters and is computationally efficient and versatile.Recorded Presentation from the vICCE (YouTube Link): https://youtu.be/zkQ7AoAWmEE

To provide some suggestions of hardware specifications to relevant people, such as developers and researchers, this paper proposes a “standard” smart phone by using the revised value of parameters, like mean and mode, which are based on the analysis of smart phone hardware parameter information database. It provides a good reference for the human-computer interaction designers at both the qualitative and quantitative level.
