A study was assess to find the effectiveness of structured teaching program on knowledge regarding behavioural problems of children among mothers in selected areas at kollam .The objectives of the study were to assess the knowledge regarding behavioral problems of children among mothers, to evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching program on knowledge regarding behavioural problems of children among mothers and to find out the association between knowledge regarding behavioural problems of children among mothers and selected demographic variables like age of mothers, living area, number of children, education of mothers, age of marriage, monthly income, occupation of mothers and types of family. A quantitative research approach was used with one group pretest posttest only design. Convenience sampling was used. Sample size was 50. The investigator assessed the knowledge of mothers using structured questionnaire regarding behavioral problems of children. After conducting the pretest, the researcher provided structured teaching programme for a period of 40 minutes on the same day. After one week Posttest was conducted using the same research tool. It is found that the calculated t value (17.35) is greater than table value. There is significant difference between pretest and posttest knowledge scores of mothers. There is no association between pretest knowledge and selected demographic variables. The finding of the study suggests that structured teaching programme is effective in increasing the knowledge of mothers regarding behavioral problems of children.

Background of the study: Children of this generation addicted to the evil of society called Television and Mobile phone. The excessive viewing of TV may leads to Childhood obesity, Vision problems, Behavioral and Social maladjustments, decreased physical activity in children etc. Report suggested 85% of the food habits in children were based on Television and its advertisements. 62% of the behavioral problems in children are due to adverse effects of television. Objectives of the study: To evaluate the effectiveness of STP on knowledge of parents regarding Adverse effects of Television in children. Methodology:The research approach used in this study was Evaluative in nature and design adopted was pre experimental single group pre test -post test design. Total of 60 parents were selected by using Convenience sampling technique.A structured online questionnaire method was used to assess the knowledge of parents regarding effects of television viewing on children. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: 37(55%) of the subjects in the pre-test had moderate knowledge regarding effects of television viewing on children, whereas in the post-test all the subjects (100%) had scored between 23 and 29 indicating good knowledge. The mean post-test knowledge score was significantly higher than mean pre-test knowledge score (t =19.51) at 0.05 level of significance. There was significant association between participants pre test knowledge scores with their educational qualification, number of children in the family and source of information. Conclusion: The study proved that parents had poor knowledge on effects of television viewing on children. After administration of the structured teaching programme their knowledge improved to a remarkable extent. The findings of the study showed that the structured teaching programme was effective in increasing the knowledge of parents regarding effects of television on children.

The objectives of the study were to:a) To assess the knowledge regarding the first aid management of convulsion in children among primary school teachers of selected schools at Kollam.b) To assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding first aid management of convulsion in children among primary school teachers in selected schools at Kollam.c) To find the association between knowledge of primary school teachers regarding first aid management of convulsion in children with their selected demographic variables. A quantitative approach was used with one group pretestposttest only design. Convenient sampling was used. Sample size was 60. The investigator assessed primary school teachers knowledge using structured questionnaire regarding first aid management of convulsion. After conducting the pretest, structured teaching programme was introduced to the primary school teachers. Posttest was conducted on fifth day using the same research tool. It is found that the calculated t value is greater than table value. There is significant difference between pretest and posttest scores of knowledge of primary school teachers. There is no association between pretest knowledge and selected demographic variables. The finding of the study suggests that structured teaching program is effective in increasing the knowledge of primary school teachers regarding first aid management of convulsion.

Nursing 2nd year students at SGRRU, College of Nursing, Patel Nagar, Dehradun. Objectives: 1. To assess the level of knowledge regarding complications of subcutaneous LMWH injection and effect of cold application among B.sc Nursing 2nd year students. 2. To evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching program on level of knowledge regarding complications of subcutaneous LMWH injection and effect of cold application among B.Sc. Nursing 2nd year students. 3. To associate the level of knowledge score regarding complications of subcutaneous LMWH injection and effect of cold application among B.sc Nursing 2nd year students with their selected demographic variables. Methodology: A quantitative pre-experimental research design is used in this study as there is a need to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching program on level of knowledge regarding complications of subcutaneous LMWH injection and effect of cold application among B.Sc. Nursing 2nd year students at SGRRU, College of Nursing, Patel Nagar, Dehradun. The conceptual framework used for this study is based on system theory developed by Ludwig Von Bertalanffy. A quantitative pre-experimental research design is used in this study. Sample in this study were selected by using convenience sampling technique. structured teaching programme was given to the B.Sc. Nursing 2nd year students at SGRRU, College of Nursing. The data was collected to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching program on complications of subcutaneous LMWH injection and effect of cold application among B.Sc. Nursing 2nd year students. The data was collected using the self- structured questionnaire and analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: Major Findings of the Study: 1. Based on gender, 85.7% of the respondents were females. 2. 54.3% of the respondents came from to urban area. 3. Majority (71.4%) of the respondents had not witnessed a patient with LMWH injection 4. Majority (82.9%) of respondent had not ever administered heparin injection 5. Majority of the respondents (71.4%) had undergone any education training programme on effect of cold application. 6. Majority of the respondents (71.4%) had undergone any education training programme on effect of cold application. 7. Majority of the respondents (72.9%) had knowledge regarding complications of subcutaneous LMWH injection and effect of cold application. 8. The post-test mean level of knowledge score (73.625%) was found higher when compared with pre-test mean level of knowledge score (45.675%). The statistical paired t test indicates that enhancement in the mean level of knowledge scores found to be significant at 0.001 percent level of significance. 9. The association between mean percentage level of knowledge score and demographic variables were computed by using Chi-square test. 10. The finding shows that there was no significant association between any demographic variables. Conclusion: The findings of the study proved that students level of knowledge about complications of subcutaneous LMWH injection and effect of cold application was inadequate and the structured teaching programme on complications of subcutaneous LMWH injection and effect of cold application was effective in improving the level of knowledge students regarding complications of subcutaneous LMWH injection and effect of cold application.

The study aimed at assessing the effect of video teaching programme on knowledge regarding breastfeeding techniques among postnatal primi mothers. Methods: A quantitative research approach with one group pretest posttest research design was adopted. The sample consisted of 60 postnatal primi mothers selected by purposive sampling. Knowledge questionnaire and was prepared to assess the knowledge which was administered by using interiew technique. Video teaching program on breastfeeding techniques was given for 30 minutes. Various aspects of breastfeeding techniques were included in this teaching program. Posttest was done after one week with the same questionnaire. Results: the mean posttest knowledge score (16.78) was significantly higher than the mean pretest knowledge (10.11) the calculated “t” value for knowledge is 18.67 was higher than the table value of 0.05 level of significance. Conclusion: These results support that the video teaching program was effective in improving the knowledge of postnatal primi mothers regarding breastfeeding techniques.

As a huge portion of our population is taken over by geriatrics i.e., they will be a key factor in the coming age-quake, when the elderly will comprise a large a share of the population, their care becomes an important aspect. Every 15 seconds, an older adult is admitted to the emergency room for a fall. A senior die from falling every 29 minutes, making it the lead cause of injury among the elderly. In addition to this there are few more problems older adults are more prone of which like memory loss, depression/loneliness, cataract and malnutrition. Quantitative research approach and pre-experimental one group pre-test and post-test design will be used to evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching program on health promotion strategies regarding selected age-related problems among the caregiver of elderly in selected area Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The sample of 60 caregiver of elderly will be taken by using non-probability purposive sampling technique.

The objectives of the study were to assess the knowledge regarding complementary feeding among students of B.Sc. Nursing at selected Nursing colleges, to assess the effectiveness of planned teaching programme on complementary feeding among B.Sc. Nursing students, To find the association between level of knowledge with in the selected demographic variables. A Quantitative Research approach was used and the research design adopted for the present study was Quasi experimental design, one group pre and post-test. The target population for the study was the B.Sc. Nursing students in selected Nursing colleges. Sample size was 60 data analysis was done by the basis of objective and hypothesis ofstudy. This study was carried out on 60 B.Sc. Nursing students of 1st yr. studying in different Nursing colleges. The aim of this study was to evaluate impact of and planned teaching program for students knowledge and practice about complementary feeding. The data was collected using two tools Structured questionnaire sheet which is consisted of 24 questions related tosocio- demographiccharacteristics,andknowledgeaboutcomplementary feeding,thepost-test knowledge scores showed a significant difference majority of them 51(85%) gained good knowledge, and 15 percent (9) gained average knowledge, which showed that planned teaching programme on complementary feeding among B. Sc. Nursing students was effective. Statistically significant improvements of students knowledge and practice about complementary feeding Therefore, it can be concluded from the results of the present study that this planned teaching program for students had a positive impact on their level of knowledge.

Statement of The Problem: ‘Effectiveness Of Structured Teaching Programme On Knowledge And Knowledge On Practice Regarding Partograph Among Final Year Nursing Students At Ppg College Of Nursing, Coimbatore. Objectives of the study: 1) To assess the level of knowledge and knowledge on practice regarding Partograph among nursing students. 2) To implement structured teaching programme regarding Partograph. Among final year nursing students. 3) To evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge and knowledge on practice regarding Partograph 4) To find out the association between the knowledge and knowledge on practice of nursing students regarding Partograph with selected demographic variables. Methodology: Quasi- experimental, pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test design was adopted. Non-probability convenient sampling was used to select 60 samples. Structured questionaries and check list were used to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge and knowledge on practice. The data gathered was analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistical method and interpretations were made based on the objectives of the study. Result: The post test for knowledge was 13.3. and post-test mean for knowledge on practice was 12.5. This result shows that there is an improvement in knowledge and knowledge on practice after the structured teaching programme. This is measured by the paired ‘t’ test. The ‘t’ value for knowledge is 19.18 and 14.17 is knowledge on practice with a significant at p <0.05so there was a significant difference between the overall pre-test and post-test knowledge and knowledge on practice in plotting the partograph.

ABSTRACT A study to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on global fund to fight against AIDS, TB, Malaria among the GNM students at Baba Farid College of Nursing Kotkapura, Faridkot Punjab. The aim was to enhance the knowledge regarding GFATM. The objective were to assess the knowledge among the GNM students regarding GFATM, the second objective is to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding GFATM among the GNM students and the third objective is to determine the association between posttest knowledge score with their selected socio demographic variables. The sample consists of 50 students. The pretest assessment of knowledge of the students was carried out using structured knowledge questionnaires followed by STP session regarding GFATM. After 7 days the post test was conducted using the same structured knowledge questionnaires. The collected data was analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Reveals that in pretest 36 students had knowledge regarding GFATM where as in posttest majority students’ knowledge enhance with score 48(96%). There is significant difference between posttest knowledge score among students with selected demographic variables that are age, residential area. There is no significant difference in the knowledge score among students of selected demographic variables like in religion, age, education stream, area of living. Pregnancy in woman’s life brings many perspective changes. For the first-time mothers, which initiates a new social role, and they experience motherhood. Pregnancy happenings take place both emotionally and physically in mothers. The changes like neuroendocrine and biological that occur during pregnancy have profound psychological effects on expectant mothers. The pregnancy brings many emotions that play a very vital role in the development of the fetus during pregnancy. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching programs on pregnancy-related specific emotions, and it’s management among Primigravida women. Methodology is a quantitative evaluative study was conducted among 60 Primigravida women of selected community, Bailhongal. The pre-experimental, one-group pre-test, and post-test research design was selected. Results: In the pre-test, the majority of the Primigravida women had 56.7% inadequate knowledge and 38.3% had moderate knowledge. After administration of structured teaching programme, 66.7% of the subjects had adequate knowledge; 23.3% had moderate knowledge and only 10% had inadequate knowledge regarding Pregnancy-related specific emotions, and it’s management in the post-test. The overall analysis of level of knowledge of Primigravida women regarding Pregnancy-related specific emotions and its management showed that mean knowledge scores of the subjects at pre-test were 13.75 (45.83%) found to be inadequate knowledge regarding Pregnancy-related specific emotions and its management. After administration of structured teaching program, mean knowledge scores of the subjects at post-test were 23.5 (78.33%) found to be significant. Conclusion: Findings of the study show that there was a significant difference in pre-test and post-test knowledge scores of Primigravida women. From this, it is concluded that the structured teaching program is effective in improving the level of knowledge of Primigravida women. And there was

The present study aims at assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programe on knowledge regarding selected aspects of adolescent health among adolescent girls. The current study is based on General Systems Theory by Ludwig Von Bertalanffy. The research approach is quantitative approach and the design selected for the study is pre experimental design, in which one group pre test — post test design. Sampling technique is convenience sampling. Samples consists of 40 adolescent girls who are studying in 8,9,10,11,12 classes and those adolescent girls who satisfies the inclusion criteria are considered as samples. The main objective of the present study is to assess the existing knowledge on selected aspects of adolescent health among adolescent girls. Evaluate the effectiveness of Structured Teaching programme on selected aspects of adolescent health among adolescent girls. Associate the level of knowledge score on adolescent health with selected demographic variables among adolescent girls.Content validity is done with the help of experts. Split-Half method is used to check the reliability.
