Background: Joint arthroplasty is one of the most common modern operations in orthopedics and traumatology. Physiotherapy and rehabilitation are the final phase of the endoprosthesis and are of great importance both for the rate and for the extent of functional recovery. DEEP OSCILLATION® is a patented therapeutic procedure using resonant vibrations of tissues with minimal external mechanical effect and proven analgesic, antifibrotic, anti-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory effect. Aim of the study: To investigate the effect of deep oscillations and kinesitherapy on the reduction of edema, reduction of pain syndromes and restoration of the range of motion in patients after knee joint arthroplasty. Materials and methods: The study was conducted on 106 patients -38 men and 66 women randomly assigned to 2 groups - experimental group (EG) with 56 patients and control group (CG) with 50 patients, all after knee joint arthroplasty. Results: Our preliminary results indicate that there are significant differences in the recovery of patients in EG and CG. Patients who have a deep oscillation procedure are recovering faster and better, both in terms of subjective complaints and in terms of the monitored functional parameters (p<0.001). Conclusions: The results obtained have shown that deep oscillations are an effective method for reducing swelling, suppressing pain and inflammation, and increasing the range of motion (ROM) in early rehabilitation of patients after knee joint arthroplasty.

Abstract Background: Tension type headache is claimed to be one of top ten disabling conditions in the world. The purpose of the study was to determine the effects of muscle energy technique on pain, range of motion at cervical spine and disability related to tension type headache. Methods: A randomized control trial was conducted on 48 participants of both genders whose age was 18 to 40 years with complain of tension type at Rehabilitation and Injury Management Department of Medcare International Hospital Gujranwala, from July to December 2019. Participants were randomly selected and allocated into two groups (experimental and control group). The experimental group received both muscle energy technique and myofascial release technique on trapezius and sternocleidomastoid of both sides. The intervention was applied for 6 weeks (3 sessions per week). Assessments were done at baseline, 4th week and 6th week. Numeric pain rating scale (NPRS), Headache disability inventory (HDI), headache impact test (HIT) and cervical range of motion with the help of Inclinometer were tools for assessment. Data analysis was done using SPSS (version 21). Results: The mean age of experimental group was 26.5±5.42 and control group was 27.7±5.70. The experimental group was shown significant improvement in terms of pain and flexion and side flexion range of motion with p-value ≤0.05. Objective: This study is the first study to test the effect of andaliman on preeclampsia. This study aims to discover whether andaliman fruit extract (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC) affects the level of TNF α and IL-6 in preeclamptic LPS Induces mice Methods: This study uses analytical research with quasi-experimental research design in laboratory rats (Micetus Norvegicus) pregnant females given andaliman extract (zantoxylumacantophodium) at doses of 100 mg and 200 mg per day. The study design allowed the researchers to measure the effect of treatment (intervention) in the experimental group by way of comparing the experimental group and control group. This design allows the researcher to determine the extent or extent of the change. The treatment of all samples was carried out simultaneously and during the treatment, it was observed using the type of Postest Only Control Group. Results: Andaliman has been shown to reduce TNF-α levels in preeclampsia mice. The mean TNF-α in the K-, P1, P2 and K+ groups was 84.4; 90.1; 95.1; 109.7 (P<0.001). Andaliman has been shown to reduce IL-6 levels in preeclampsia rats. The mean IL-6 in the K-, P1, P2 and K+groups was 16.7; 67.5; 18.8; 21.1 (P<0.001). Conclusion: This study proves that there are anti-inflammatory effects possessed by the extract of Andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium), thus showing a decrease in proinflammatory cytokine levels, namely TNF-α, IL6. This study also has a good clinical outcome after administering Andaliman extract (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium), where there are improvements in blood pressure, cystole-diastole, MAP and decreased urinary protein in research subjects with preeclampsia.
