Gambuh as the performing art in Malay area became one of the cultural transformation evidences of the close relation between Java and Malay. The history of gambuh performance in Malay area recorded in the archipelago’s manuscripts, one of them is a manuscript entitled Surat Gambuh which is being the collection of Leiden University Library. This paper attempts to examine the contents of the manuscript in order to reconstruct the gambuh performance art in Malay and also trace the historical aspects. As far as the research had been done, there have been no studies of this manuscript so it is necessary to first transliterate it using a critical method. Furthermore, the historical aspects are explored using a historical approach by adding data from other texts of Panji. The analysis result of the reflection of Malay gambuh performance rules and historical aspects show that there is a transformation of work from oral tradition to written tradition, the cultural acculturation between Java and Malay, and the Islamic influence behind Malay gambuh.

On May 4, 2020, the 30th anniversary of the restoration of Latvia’s national independence was celebrated, and the 160th anniversary since the birth of the first President of Latvia, Jānis Čakste (1859–1927), was remembered on September 14, 2019. In 1917, even before the establishment of the Latvian state, Čakste published a longer essay in German, entitled „The Latvians and Their Latvia” (Die Letten und ihre Latwija), in which both the ethnic and geopolitical history of the Baltics was presented to communicate the public opinion and strivings of that time internationally. The essay also reflected economic relations in the predominantly Latvian-inhabited territory, demonstrating the political convictions and the culture-historical background of the era. The article aims to characterise the history of writing and publishing the essay in German, and its translation into Latvian (1989/90), and the translation’s editions (1999, 2009, 2014, 2019). Part of the article is devoted to analysing the culture-historical aspects, which in the authorial narrative have been expressed in the interethnic environment of the territory and the era.

For percussionists, rhythm notation represents more than a mere temporal sequence of music; it also assists the selection and execution of the appropriate technique. This musical execution is often dependent on the percussion instrument, although it is safe to argue that the movement sequence when sounding an instrument is independent of its size and proportions. Starting from the first beats, it is as crucial to learn and master movement routines as it is to understand and feel the time between notes, since these together enable one to play out rhythm notation precisely and internalise the correct motor processes. Applying the adequate movement sequences during the learning process consciously could result in substantial self-control abilities, which can also be utilised during practice. In the past centuries, the style of percussionists’ performance has transformed substantially due to the evolution of instruments and mallets, as well as performers’ efforts towards faster tempos. In this study, a brief overview on the history of percussion instruments is followed by the presentation of the technical evolution and milestones of how snare drums and other drums are played. When practicing percussion instruments, we must bear in mind the vast contribution of percussionists from bygone centuries, who laid the foundations of modern-day techniques either in wars or for others’ entertainment. Keywords: tabor, snare drum, traditional grip, rudimental

The appeal of the nation to its history – this is not an attempt to escape from the present and uncertainty about the future. This understanding of who we are, where we came from. Based on our experience, we can confidently move forward. Not happen in the Russian revolution, which way went the history of the world? Can we learn from the past to prevent another disaster? The lessons of history are there – they just need to be able to retrieve. The main lesson we can learn from what happened in 1917 – the need to value human life. In article the made attempt to tell about some scientific schools in the field of digital electronic computer facilities in days of its formation. It is necessary to note results of huge self-denying work of collectives scientific and operated them on maintenance with computer facilities of space researches, atomic engineering, rocket production, the first class systems of supervision over space, antimissile і antiaircraft defence. Necessity of the additional information at studying of such disciplines as: «Computer science», «the Engineering and computer drawing», «Metrology», «Standardization», etc. has shown, that it is necessary to give on employment to students an additional material from history of development of digital systems in different fields of knowledge. Therefore we have laid down for ourselves the aim in given article to result some examples of historical aspects of development of digital measuring systems in Ukraine and their industrial application. This additional information can be used at studying of discipline «Standardization» with attraction general The technical, and also profile subjects. The huge role in formation of a new direction (computing systems) was brought by Victor Mihajlovich Glushkov. In December, 1957 the laboratory has been transformed to Computer centre AN USSR with the scientific research institute rights. In 1962 the Computer centre has been transformed to Institute of cybernetics AN USSR which director till the end of a life there was V. M. Glushkov. At this institute under the guidance of Victor Mihajlovicha there were created tens types of the COMPUTER, many of which not only answered the world standards, but also have opened absolutely new directions in computer facilities development. So, for example, cars of a series the WORLD (the car for engineering calculations) became a prototype of personal computers. It has been even more designed different operating systems and complexes. The institute became a leader in working out and in manufacture of the automated control systems. This small analysis which has been executed from material ordering which concerns directly all general technical and professional disciplines.
