In school-age children, self-confidence is needed to complete the task of psychosocial development, namely industry or the stage of achievement. Which if not implemented correctly, the child will become inferior. Authoritarian parents who often curb and punish can affect a child's self-confidence. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between authoritarian parenting style and self-confidence of school-age children. This study used observational analysis with a cross-sectional approach. The subjects of this study were 96 primary school students who were take using a stratified random sampling technique. Data collection used an authoritarian parenting questionnaire and a self-confidence questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Analysis results showed that there were 54.2% of respondents who got an authoritarian parenting style, and 45.8% of respondents have low self-confidence. The chi-square test showed a correlation between authoritarian parenting style and self-confidence of school-age children (p-value = 0,001) with OR of 5,211. School-age children who get authoritarian parenting have the risk of experiencing low self-confidence 5,211 times higher. Nurses can provide health education and counseling about good parenting to the parents and teachers.

The role of parents as caregivers and the response from the enviroment is needed for children in the formation of children’s independence. Based on data from the national statistical agency in 2014, the number of pre-school age children in indonesia was 28.022 people. This study aims to study the relationship of parenting parents with the level of personal hygiene independence in pre-school age children in the village of celegeh, barebali village, central lombok. This research is a descriptive correlational research with a cross sectional approach. The population in study amounted to 34 people. Sampling is done by using purposive sampling which amounts to 32 people, but in sampling there are exclusion criteria so that the total sample is 30 respondents. Research instruments using questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using the chi-square test α=0,05. The results showed that most of the patterns of adoption by respondents were 14 people (46,7%) authoritarian parenting, with 7 independent children (23,3%) and 7 non-independent children (23,3%). So it can be concluded there is a relationship between parenting parents with the level of personal hygiene independence in pre-school age children in the village of celegeh, barebali village, central lombok.

The development of the times as it is today, especially in the field of technology knowledge and information has progressed very rapidly. One of the fastest growing technologies today is gadgets. The use of gadgets in school-age children has positive and negative impacts, one of the negative impacts of using these gadgets is the inhibition of psychosocial development in school-age children. This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of early gadgets to the psychosocial development of school age children in SDN Goto, Tidore Islands City. The research method used in this research is descriptive correlation using a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique was stratified random sampling with a sample size of 65 respondents. The relationship test used the chi square statistical test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed students who used gadgets in the non-routine category were 8 (12.3%), the Routine category was 57 (87.7%) and the psychosocial development of the children in the poor category was 21 (32.3%) and the number of students in the good category was 44 (67.7%). The results showed that there was no relationship between the use of gadgets and the psychosocial development of school-age children at SDN Goto, Tidore Islands City, p = 0.226, greater than α = 0.05, this is due to several factors including children still social, learning and playing with friends. -friends as usual even though they use gadgets. The conclusions in this study indicate that there is no relationship between the use of early gadgets on the psychosocial development of school-age children at SDN Goto, Tidore Islands City, and the suggestions of this study hopefully can become information material for parents and teachers to better supervise children in using gadgets.

Background: Being hospitalized is usually related to the fear, especially for children. Nurse supports should be able to help the children to deal with the fears related to nurse and medical services.  Objective: This study aims to examine the relationship between nurse support and the fear of school-age children being treated in the PKU Muhammadiyah hospital, Yogyakarta.Methods: This study employed a cross sectional correlation design, which was conducted from October to December 2016 in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital. The samples of the study were 49 mothers and school-aged children who were admitted to the children ward. A consecutive sampling was applied to determine sample size. The instruments used in this study were nurse support and CMFS-R (Child Medical Fear Survey-Revised) questionnaires. Chi square test was performed with significance level p = 0.05 and level of trust = 95% for data analysis. Results: Findings showed 42.9% of respondents had medical fear and 36.7% of them had medical fear related-behavior responses. The nurse support was in a high category (73.5%). Chi square test showed p-value 0.038 (>0.05), which indicated that there was statistically no significant relationship between nurse support and children fear. There was only age of the children had a significant relationship with fear with p-value 0.035 (<0.05). Conclusions: There was no significant association between nurse support and fear of school-age children.

One of the roles of the parents is to make the children independent, which means increasing the children’s ability in fulfilling their needs or with a little help from the others. In general, as common knowledge, parents usually use authoritarian parenting in raising their children. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation of parents using authoritarian parenting way with the independent of 3- 5 years old preschool children.Method: The research designed using cross sectional analytical correlation. The subject of this research was all of the parents who have 3-5 years old preschool children in Berlian Desa Bendorejo District of Udanawu  collected by total sampling technique and analized using chi square technic Result: The results of this research showed that respondents with authoritarian parenting way tend to have children with low self-reliance of 38.9 %. Meanwhile, respondents with non- authoritarian parenting way tend to have children with high self-sufficiency of 38.9 % . The results of Chi-square test showed p value = 0.025 . From the data analysis it was obtained the value of the significance level was 0.025. Discussion: Based on these results it could be concluded that there was a correlation between of parents using authoritarian parenting way with the independent of 3-5 years old preschool children. It was expected that the respondents provided appropriate parenting way for the children in developing their independent.

Abstrack: Adolescent aggressive behavior is an emotional state that is a mixture of feelings of frustration and hatred or anger. This is based on the emotional state in depth of each person as an important part of the emotional state that can be projected into the environment, inside or destructively. One of the factors thant influence aggressive behavior is parenting which is divided into three types, that are authoritarian parenting, permissive pareting, and democratic parenting. The porpose oh this study is to know The Relationship of Parenting Style with Aggressive Behavior Adolescent at SMA N 1 Kakas. The research method uses a cross sectional approach. Respondents consisted of 74 teenage boys in class XI with sampling techniques using Total Sampling. Data collection using a quessionnare. Chi square test result with confidence level of 95% v (α 0.05), where the value of P = 0.023 is smaller than α = 0.05. Conclusion there is a relationship between parenting parents with aggressive behavior inadolescent in SMA N 1 Kakas.Keywords: The Relationship of Parenting style, Aggressive Behavior, Adolescent.Abstrak:Perilaku agresif remaja merupakan suatu keadaan emosi yang merupakan campuran perasaan frustasi dan benci atau marah. Hal ini didasari keadaan emosi secara mendalam dari setiap orang sebagai bagian penting dari keadaan emosional yang dapat diproyeksikan ke lingkungan, ke dalam diri atau secara destruktif. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku agresif adalah pola asuh orang tua yang terbagi dalam tiga tipe, yaitu pola asuh otoriter, pola asuh permisif, dan pola asuh demokratis. Tujuan peneliti ini adalah mengetahui hubungan pola asuh orang tua dengan perilaku agresif pada anak usia remaja di SMA N 1 Kakas. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Responden terdiri dari 74 remaja laki-laki kelas XI dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Total Sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil Uji Chi Square dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%v(α 0,05), dimana nilai p = 0,023 lebih kecil dari α = 0,05. Kesimpulan ada hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan perilaku agresif pada anak usia remaja di SMA N 1 Kakas.Kata Kunci : Pola asuh orang tua, Perilaku agresif, Remaja.

Bullying is a very common, complex, and potentially damaging among school-age children. This incidence has increased from year to year, especially in Yogyakarta. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the occurrence of bullying among school-age children in Yogyakarta. The research method used was quantitative with a cross-sectional design in 114 school-age children in the elementary schools in Yogyakarta. The samples were taken by simple random sampling technique. The research instrument uses a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square Test. The results showed that the bullying incidence was 51.8% dominated by the type of physical bullying which amounted to 62.7%. There were no significant relationship between sex (p-value = 0, 490), parenting style (p-value = 0778) with the incidence of bullying in school-age children. There were significant relationships between school factors (p-value = 0.001), peers (p-value = 0.024), intensity of watching television shows (p-value = 0.026) with the incidence of bullying in school-age children. It is expected that schools and community health nurses have a role in controlling bullying that occurs in schools

Background : The consumption of vegetable and fruit among school age children is inadequate and below WHO recommendation (400gr/day).There are many important factors influence the children’s consumption of vegetable and fruit such as mother’s role and fruit and vegetable stock in household. Objectives: To analyze the relationship between mother’s role and fruit and vegetable stock in household with the children’s consumption level of fruit and vegetable. Method : Research with cross sectional method was conducted in SDN Kandang Tepus 01 and SDN Kandang Tepus 02 Senduro  village, Lumajang regency with sample 41 children grade 4 and 5 with their mother. Variable that observed in this research are mother’s role as educator and inisiator  of vegetable and fruit stock in home and the children consumption of vegetable and fruit. Data was collected with interview using questionnaire instrument and semi quantitative  food frequency . Result : Children who consume vegetable and fruit based on WHO recommendation 400 gr/day was 17.1%. Chi-square test showed that there was relathionship between mother’s role as educator (p-value = 0.014) and stock of vegetable and fruit in household (p-value = 0.003) with the children’s consumption of vegetable and fruit (p-value = 0.028). But there was no relationship between mother’s role as initiator with children’s consumption of vegetable and fruit. Conclusion: Mother’s role as educator related to children’s consumption of vegetable and fruit because its depend on stock of fruit and vegetable in household.ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Konsumsi sayur dan buah pada anak usia sekolah masih tergolong rendah dan belum memenuhi anjuran WHO sebesar 400 gr/hari. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi konsumsi sayur buah pada anak, terutama terkait peran ibu dan ketersediaan sayur buah di rumah.Tujuan: Menganalisis hubungan peran ibu dan ketersediaan sayur buah di rumah dengan tingkat konsumsi sayur buah pada anak usia sekolah.Metode: Penelitian dengan desain cross sectional dilakukan di SDN Kandang Tepus 01 dan SDN Kandang Tepus 02 Desa Senduro Kabupaten Lumajang dengan jumlah sampel 41 anak kelas 4 dan 5 beserta ibu. Kegagalan toilet training mengakibatkan anak tidak percaya diri, rendah diri, malu berhubungan sosial dengan temannya. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui hubungan pola asuh orang tua dengan tingkat keberhasilan toilet training pada anak usia pra-sekolah di TK Dharma Wanita Tunggul Wulung. Desain penelitian ini observasional analitik dengan pendekatan study cross sectional. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposif sampling berdasarkan kriteria inklusi sebanyak 35 responden. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Data dianalisis dengan korelasi chi-square Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan responden yang menggunakan  pola asuh demokratis sebanyak 71,4%, pola asuh permisif sebanyak 25,7%, pola asuh otoriter sebanyak 2.9%, pola asuh penelantar sebanyak 0%. Sedangkan untuk tingkat keberhasilan yang berhasil sebanyak 34,3%, cukup berhasil sebanyak 65,7%. Setelah dianalisis dengan korelasi chi-square diperoleh hasil nilai korelasi positif 0.403 dengan signifikansi α (0.034 < 0.050). Semakin ke arah pola asuh demokratis penerapan toilet training akan berhasil sedangkan semakin ke arah pola asuh penelantar penerapan toilet training kurang berhasil. Kata kunci: anak usia pra sekolah, pola asuh, toilet training PARENTING STYLE  RELATED TO THE SUCCESS OF TOILET TRAINING IN PRE-SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN ABSTRACTTherefore parent building for independence of children is needed that was realized by toilet training. Toilet training’s failure can result the children in feeling inferior, unconscionable and ashamed to communicate friendliness. This research was aimed to know the relation between parent’s way of care with degree of toilet training success for children at pre-school age in TK Dharma Wanita Tunggul Malang. Design of this research was analytic observational using  approach cross sectional study. Samples were selected using purposive sampling base on inclusive criterion as much as forty respondents. Data were collected using questioner then analysed with correlation of chi-square. From the result of research it was got that the respondent using the way of democratize care was 71,4%, the way of permissive care was 25,7%, the way of authoritative care was 2,9%, the way of neglect care was 0%. Whereas by degree success to success was 34,3%, enough success was 65,7%,. After analyzed using correlation of chi-square it was got positive correlation 0.403 with significance α (0.034 < 0.050). It can be concluded that there was significance relation between the parent’s way of care and degree of toilet training success for children in pre–school age at TK Dharma Wanita Tunggul Wulung Malang. The more democratic care the application of toilet training the more success while the more neglect care the application of toilet training the less success.  Keywords: pre-school, the way of care, toilet training

Background: Temper tantrums are an uncontrolled emotional outbursts or anger sustained could be aggressive. Temper tantrums can be handled by one way a good parent pattern applied to children. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between Parenting and Temper Tantrums in Children Ages 1-3 Years at Puskesmas Pakuhaji Kabupaten Tangerang. Research Method: The research design used in this study was analytic descriptive with a cross-sectional approach. The samples in this study were 95 respondents with a sampling technique that cluster random sampling. The analysis technique used in this study was chi-square test. Results: It shows that respondents with positive authoritarian parenting are 65 respondents (65.3%), democratic parenting as many as 55 respondents (57.9%) and positive premise parenting patterns of 56 respondents (58.9%). And temper tantrums were 63 (66.3%).The results of the analysis showed that authoritarian parenting was not related to parenting by tempering tantrums, and there was a relationship between permissive parenting and a tempering tantrums, democratic parenting had no relationship with temper tantrums. Conclusion: This means that the better the parenting style of the child, the lower the occurrence of temper tantrums.Keyword: children aged 1-4 years, parenting parents, temper tantrum.
