This study explores the underlying factors among SMEs that explain their intentions to use cloud accounting system in Malaysia. This study is motivated by the fact that SMEs are considered as significant economic players and an influential source of national and local economic growth. However, looking at high failure rate for Malaysian SMEs, more research should concern on supporting their business operation especially with regard to accounting or financial management. Based on the literature on this field as well as the concept in Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) this study establishes a conceptual model that incorporate additional perceived security to the original four explanatory variables of UTAUT: performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and facilitating condition. Hence, this paper proposes a conceptual framework of a modified UTAUT model with factors towards user intention to use cloud accounting system in Malaysia.

Internet of Medical Devices is a connected ecosystem of devices, physicians and patients intended to deliver affordable and quality healthcare to masses. The study is intended to identify and establish variables which influence user intentions for continued usage for this purpose we have used Unified Theory of Acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model, Expectation Confirmation Theory (ECT) and Medical Device Technology Development Process theory (MDTDP). App Quality, system stability and User experience are other variables utilized in study the study aims to bring in focus variables which influence “intentions for continued usage.” These insights will be valuable to all interested in connected devices ecosystem in healthcare and can be imbibed for creating better customer experience in an era of IOMD and healthcare.

This study explored the important role of demographic factors such as gender, age, and education in the adoption of mobile government (m-government) services. The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model was used as the theoretical foundation whiles the data was captured and analyzed with SPSS and SmartPLS. The results have demonstrated that gender is a significant predictor of both the intention to use and performance expectancy of m-government services. However, gender does not determine mobile self-efficacy. In addition, age and education were both were significant predictors of performance expectancy, mobile self-efficacy and the intention to use m-government services respectively. The implications of these and other findings of the study are thoroughly discussed.

BACKGROUND Many university students are lacking adequate physical exercise and failing to develop physical activity behaviors in China. Physical activity apps’ use is an effective to improve this situation. OBJECTIVE The aim of this study is to use UTAUT to investigate the intention to use physical activity apps among university students in Guangzhou, China. METHODS A cross-sectional study was conducted among 1704 university students from different cluster in Guangzhou, China. The UTAUT model was used to measure the determinants of intention to use physical activity apps. RESULTS Of the participants, 41.8% intended to use physical activity apps. All three UTAUT-related scales (Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, and Social Influence) are all positively associated with the intention to use physical apps after adjusting for background variables (ORa = 1.10 ~ 1.31, p < .001). PE scale had stronger associations with the intention to use physical activity Apps among those whose BMI were beyond normal range (BMI ≥ 24) compared to those whose BMI were within normal range ( p < .001). CONCLUSIONS Interventions regarding UTAUT-related scales could be taken into consideration when developing interventions to improve university students’ physical activity.

The objective of this research is to analyze the antecedents of Behavioral Intention to use mobile payment platform. Specifically, the researchers expanded on UTAUT2 (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) by incorporating Perceived Security and Trust to better explain the endogenous variable. The sample of this study was limited to the users of mobile payment platforms in the Greater Jakarta area, and the data were collected using online questionnaires (n=144). The data in this study were examined using quantitative research by utilizing the SEM-PLS analysis. This research found that Social Influence, Hedonic Motivation, and Trust directly and significantly affected Behavioral Intention, while Effort Expectancy, Perceived Security, and Performance Expectancy had an indirect relationship with Behavioral Intention. Finally, the adjusted R2 of Behavioral Intention in this study is 71.6%. The results of this study contributed to the ongoing discussion on mobile payment adoption as the next digital disruptor by incorporating two important user privacy constructs.

The presented study examines e-commerce technologies a new conceptual framework of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries.Aim. The study aims to identify factors for the implementation and acceptance of e-commerce among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries.Tasks. The authors utilize tools of G. Hofstede’s cultural dimensions theory to describe the emotional attitude of an individual to the use of technology.Methods. This study examines various aspects of the method of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT), which is implemented in many studies of behavioral intentions of individuals in the adoption of new technologies.Results. For the first time, a conceptual (predictive) model based on four moderating variables is proposed. The variables include such cultural dimension parameters as power distance index  (PDI), individualism/collectivism  (IDV), uncertainty avoidance  (UAI), and long-term/short-term orientation (LTO). These moderators boost the effect of the basic constructs on the behavioral propensity for the use and application of technologies.Conclusions. Based on the considered conceptual framework, the authors propose a number of recommendations for the development of tools that would ensure the required level of employee engagement in the acceptance and use of e-commerce technologies among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries. Another promising direction involves using the tools of G. Hofstede’s cultural dimensions theory to examine the specific aspects of the acceptance and use of information technology among organizations belonging to different national business cultures.
