This research aims to identify science and mathematics teachers’ attitudes towards integrating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in their educational practice through applying the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). A questionnaire instrument was developed based on the constructs of the UTAUT (performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and facilitating conditions) and attitudes scale. The study sample consisted of a group of mathematics and science teachers in governorate of Ma’an. The participants were randomly selected. Descriptive and regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The results showed the attitudes of science and mathematics teachers towards integrating information and communication technology in the educational process were high and positive. In addition, the results showed that science and mathematics teachers had positive and high perceptions of integrating information and communication technology in the educational process in all dimensions (performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions). Furthermore, the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology was valid in explaining the attitudes of Science and Mathematics teachers toward the integration of ICT in the in their educational practice.

The use of technology in UT instructional media allows students of the Open University of Indonesia (Universitas Terbuka, UT) to improve their knowledge and skills without being hampered by distance, space, and time. This study explored the perception of UT alumni and stakeholders about the benefit of using information and communication technology (ICT) and learning media obtained during their study period in UT. The information was gathered from a tracer study conducted in 2008, which was used to evaluate 5 study programs at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Educational Science in the use of ICT and instructional media. The data were collected from 37 UT regional offices through questionnaires to a sample of alumni teachers and their principals, as well as interviews with selected alumni and stakeholders. According to the surveys and interviews, both alumni and stakeholders perceived that alumni had improved in their knowledge and skills of ICT and learning media. However, according to alumni perceptions, the knowledge and skills they had learned from UT were relatively low. On the other hand, stakeholders perceived that the alumni had good knowledge and skills of ICT and learning media. We argue that differences in perception between alumni and stakeholders result from different experiences and expectations on the part of each group.

The development of information and communication technology is now a major effect on manyaspects of life, even human behavior and activities are now a lot depends on the information andcommunication technology. One example is the use of technology in teaching and learning, namely withthe game. The game is already familiar to the students. When students are lazy to read books whilestudying, they are cool to play games. Therefore, the author makes an effective solution in learning sothat they are not lazy to study. This game was designed with the concept of 2D so it can be run onsmartphones that have lower specs. To build this game, the author uses Unity 3D 5.4. So, students canlearn with pleasure and do not get bored while studying.

Due to the accelerated pace of information and communication technology developments, the digital society and the digital economy have become real and, in turn, pose specific challenges. In this environment, digital skills and competences are essential to achieve the professional success and personal development of any individual. The positive impact that information and communication technology has on education cannot be disputed, but there are also some obstacles that need to be overcome in order to make the most of these benefits. An essential aspect to consider is that technology has repercussions not only on pupils and students, but also on teachers, who must adapt and acquire the knowledge necessary to disseminate information. Having as the main objective of reflecting the impact of digitalization on the educational sector, the paper highlights the basic concepts in the field of digital technology and, at the same time, the current implications on educational processes. At the same time, through logistic regression, the way in which the means of digital innovation influence the education in Romania is analysed and to determine the factors with the highest degree of influence. Modern technology can be considered as synonymous with the future and that is why it is essential that all young students acquire the digital knowledge necessary to revolutionize the educational process and at the same time redefine the recruitment of the labour market.

The way citizens interact with cities affects overall life quality. Their participation in social decisions is of paramount importance for helping on public decisions that affect governance, regulation and education. This interaction has the potential of being boosted within the scope of smart and digital cities, especially by recent advances in blockchain technology. This work introduces insights about how smart cities’ concepts and innovative technologies can help society to face daily challenges for improving citizens’ awareness. Digital technologies are able to drive social and economic development by employing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to promote innovation. In this context, e-governance, in conjunction with disruptive concepts such as blockchain, is showing up as a fundamental tool for a decentralized democracy. This study reviews, discusses, raises open points and presents suggestions towards an efficient, transparent and sustainable use of technology, applied to future cities.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) are key elements in the educational process of teens. Consequently, efforts should be made to integrate ICT into educational plans and policies. Based on this premise, HEBE has been launched – a study on youth empowerment that was funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and carried out by five universities: the University of Girona, the Autonomous University of Madrid, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the University of Barcelona and Pompeu Fabra University. The project, based on media literacy and transmedia skills, involves the creation of an interactive documentary (i-doc). The HEBE i-doc: digital prints relates the experiences and reflections during the maturation stage of six youngsters with different cultural, educational, family and social backgrounds and profiles. This exploration was carried out through their own audio-visual creations, in a life story format. The i-doc has the dual purpose of (1) devising a methodology based on digital ethnography, and (2) creating an interactive platform for sharing experiences and promoting the visibility of these issues via citizen science.

<p class="Style2">Tanzania is faced with a severe shortage of qualified in-service school science and mathematics teachers. While science and mathematics account for 46% of the curriculum, only 28% of teachers are qualified to teach these subjects. In order to overcome this challenge, the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MoEVT) implemented a project to use multimedia-enhanced content to upgrade subject content knowledge of science and mathematics teachers in secondary schools. A total of 70 topics and 147 subtopics were developed and enhanced with various multimedia elements. The content was used to train 2,000 in-service science and mathematics teachers from secondary schools in 19 selected centers countrywide. However, the presence and availability of this content does not automatically guarantee that teachers will use them. For this content to improve teachers’ subject content knowledge, they must be accepted and used by teachers in secondary schools. This study examines factors affecting teachers’ acceptance and prolonged use of developed multimedia-enhanced content using the extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) as a research framework. A sample of 1,137 teachers out of 2,000 was collected and tested against the research model using regression analysis. With exception of <em>performance expectancy</em>, all other factors had a statistically significant effect on teachers’ acceptance and use of the developed content. The government and other stakeholders can use these findings to develop strategies that will promote acceptance and use of the developed content in secondary schools in Tanzania.</p>

The article focuses on the use of teaching information and communication technology for physical experiments simulation on quantum physics, in particular, the study of the "valley of stability". The features of the processes occurring in the atom and affecting the nucleus stability and their location in the nucleus valley of stability are analyzed. The relevance of the study is the need to intensify the process of using models and simulations, abstraction and idealization and analogies in the educational process on physics. Idealized objects creation, in particular, the nucleus valley of stability, helps to reach a first approximation the truth and to improve the quality of mastering knowledge on physics, raise the level of success of the development of knowledge and skills, as it is directed on the formation of the relationship between physical concepts, theories and laws.
