The puropose of this study is to examine the effect of learning strategies on physical education candidates and their motivation of curiosity and levels of exploration. In accordance with this purpose, the study group is formed by the randomly chosen senior year students of Erciyes, Ömer Halisdemir, Aksaray, Dumlupınar, Gaziantep, Fırat, Selçuk, Ahi Evran, Hacı Bektaşi Veli universities’ Physical Education and Sports Teacher department. Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire, MSLQ (Büyüköztürk, Akgün, Özkahveci and Demirel, 2004), Curiosity and Exploration Inventory-II, CEI (Kashdan et al. 2009) and the ‘Personal Information Form’ which was prepared by the researcher are used in order to collect data in the research. In order to put forth the relation between the scores that were gathered from the scales, Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient analysis (r) and to determine whether the scores that were gathered are predictive or not Multiple Regression Analysis was applied (β). From the curiosity and exploration sub dimensions, a positive significant relation is found between flexibility and motivation. Furthermore, a positive significant relation is determined between accepting the uncertainty sub-dimension and motivation. A great deal of positive relation is found between the total rates of curiosity and exploration and level of motivation. While there is a positive significant relation between the curiosity and exploration and learning strategies with flexibility, a positive significant relation between accepting the uncertainty sub-dimension and learning strategies is determined too. A positive significant relation is also found between total rates of curiosity and exploration and the use of learning strategies.

The study group consisted of 479 university students studying in Kahramanmaras, Gaziantep, Burdur, Denizli and Mersin during the 2017-2018 academic year. Gender in the personal information form, the team or individual sports and the personal information form prepared for the department were used as data collection tools of the study. The short psychological resilience scale developed by Smith et al. (2008) and adapted to Turkish by Dogan (2015) was used to determine the psychological stability levels of the study group. The Affinity Scale Developed by Berry et al. (2005); adapted to Turkish by Akin, Gediksiz and Akin (2012) was used in the study to evaluate the forgiveness of the research group. The data were analyzed by using SPSS Statistics 22.0 package program, Pearson Product Moment Correlation, ANOVA, Tukey multiple comparison and t test method. As a result of the research, a positive and low correlation was found between psychological resilience and forgiveness. Between gender and forgiveness, girls' scores were found more meaningful and higher than those of males. No significant meaningful correlation between psychological resilience and forgiveness level of the students engaged in team and individual sports was found. When the participants were examined in terms of the department they studied, no relationship with psychological stability was found. When the participants were examined in terms of the department they studied, the scores of the students of the coaching department were found to be higher in the forgiveness than those of the physical education and sports teacher.

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between academic self-efficacy and cognitive flexibility levels of physical education and sports teacher candidates. The universe of the study consisted of 480 teacher candidates studying in the physical education and sports teaching departments of the sports sciences faculties within Selçuk, Erciyes, Süleyman Demirel and Mehmet Akif Ersoy Universities, and the sample group consisted of 192 volunteers from the specified population. Participants in the study were asked to fill in a personal information form, academic self-efficacy and cognitive flexibility scales. IBM SPSS 22.0 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) statistical package program was used to analyze the data. Arithmetic means and standard deviations of the scores of the volunteers from the scales were presented as X±Sd. Pearson Product Moment Correlation Analysis was applied to reveal the relationship of the data obtained from the scales. The value of p<0,05 was considered significant. As a result, it was determined that the academic self-efficacy and cognitive flexibility levels of physical education and sports teacher candidates were above average. A moderate positive correlation was found between academic self-efficacy and alternatives and control subtitles of cognitive flexibility and total of cognitive flexibility. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between academic self-efficacy and distance education perception levels of physical education and sports teacher candidates during the pandemic process. The population of the study consists of teacher candidates (n=908) studying at the physical education and sports teaching departments of the School of Physical Education and Sports and Sports Sciences within the private and public universities affiliated to the Higher Education Institution in Istanbul, and the sample consists of volunteers (n=398) determined by simple random sampling method from this population. In order to collect data, the Google Forms platform was preferred in order to maintain social distance during the pandemic process. During the data collection process, information and questionnaires about the study were communicated to the participants through social networks. Volunteers who participated in the study were asked to fill in the personal information form, academic self-efficacy and distance education perception scales. The data obtained in the study were analyzed in computer environment. Variables are expressed by using mean ± standard deviation, percentage and frequency values. Pearson product moments correlation analysis (r) was applied to reveal the relationships between the scales. For the significance level of the tests, p<0.05 and p<0.01 values were accepted. As a result, it was determined that the academic self-efficacy and distance education perception levels of physical education and sports teacher candidates were above the average. Between the academic self-efficacy and perception of distance education. A low level positive relationship was found. It is thought that this situation is caused by the concerns of physical education and sports teacher candidates, who are accustomed to the face-to-face transfer of knowledge and skills related to the teaching models of sportive skills, to the transition to distance education and to the problems that may occur in this process and not to learn the necessary knowledge and skills related to their professional development. Keywords: Physical Education and Sports, Academic Self-efficacy and Distance Education Perception
