The study aimed to determine the differences between loneliness levels and leisure benefits according to the variables of university students and the effect of leisure benefits on loneliness. In the research, scanning model, which is one of the quantitative research methods, was used. The study group of the research consisted of 255 students, 148 males (58.0%) and 107 females (42.0%), studying at the School of Physical Education and Sports of Istanbul Gelişim University, and formed by voluntary participation. In addition to the personal information form, the UCLA Loneliness Scale (ULS) developed by Russell, Peplau, and Ferguson (1978) and adapted to Turkish by Demir (1989), and Leisure Benefit Scale (LBS) developed by Ho (2008) and adapted to Turkish by Akgül, Ertüzün, and Karakucuk (2018), were used. After the data showed normal distribution, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson Correlation Test were used in the analysis. According to the research results, a difference was found between the individuals' loneliness according to the age groups and the leisure benefits according to their gender. As a result of the research, it was concluded that as the leisure benefits of the individuals increased, their loneliness decreased.

After the data showed normal distribution in the Kolmogrov-Smirnov normality test, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson Correlation test were used in the analysis. The level of significance in the study was set at 0.05. In the research findings; gender and age groups of individuals affect their leisure time satisfaction levels; It has also been found that age groups affect social media addiction. As a result, it was determined that leisure satisfaction levels and social media addiction changed according to various variables of university students, and a negative significant relationship was found between leisure satisfaction and social media addiction.

The aim of this study is to determine university students’ views on planning and conducting lectures in distance education, teaching materials, communication situations, and the difficulties they experience. A descriptive survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the study. Within the scope of the research, a distance education student satisfaction questionnaire developed based on the experiences of the researcher himself and an information form containing the personal information of the participants were used to collect data. The data collection tool was prepared over Google forms and delivered to 1,632 university students via What Sapp and mail. Since the study was prepared in descriptive and scanning type, descriptive statistics, t-test, and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used in the analysis of the data obtained. Descriptive statistics were used in the analysis of the first, third, fifth, and sixth questions; T-test and ANOVA were used in the analysis of the second and fourth questions. According to the findings of the research, it is seen that the anxiety of the students participating in the research is concentrated on the lectures and exams. Students with self-discipline overcome this process positively, while students without self-discipline often experience problems.

The potential relationship between social media addiction and personality traits is an essential topic in tourism studies, though it is rarely examined. Thus, this study aims to examine whether undergraduate tourism students are addicted to social media and, if so, the possible relationship between this addiction and their personality traits. The research used the descriptive method, one of the quantitative research methods. The questionnaire technique and the convenience sampling method were preferred to amass the data. Data were collected from 454 undergraduate tourism students and analyzed with the Pearson correlation test by using SPSS 25. This research has revealed that the students' dominant personality trait is agreeableness with a low-level social media addiction. The research has also found a positive relationship between neuroticism personality traits and social media addiction and a negative relationship between personality traits of extraversion, agreeableness, and conscientiousness, and social media addiction. The research has revealed that tourism students are dependent on social media. Social media addiction is a type of addiction that harms individuals' personal development and business life. Accordingly, theoretical and practical studies should be carried out to combat this addiction. To this end, it is crucial to develop more sophisticated combating methods according to an individual's personality traits and carry out awareness and training studies in the practical field. The literature has scarcely examined the relationship between undergraduate tourism students' personality traits and social media addiction. Therefore, this study is believed to contribute to filling an important gap in the literature.

The importance of the benefits that individuals get from the activities they participate in their leisure is increasing day by day. It is known that the benefits gained are reflected positively in many aspects of the individual’s life. From this point of view, this study aimed to examine the effect of the benefits obtained by university students in their leisure on the prediction of entrepreneurship and academic hopelessness. The study group of the research consisted of a total of 457 students, 247 males and 210 females, selected by easy sampling method, and studying at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Sports Sciences. In addition to the personal information form, Leisure Benefit Scale (LBS) developed by Ho (2008) and adapted into Turkish by Akgül et al. (2018); Entrepreneurship Scale (ES) developed by Yılmaz and Sünbül (2009) and Academic Hopelessness Scale (AHS) developed by Gökalp and Soykan (2020) were used as data collection tools. The normality distribution of the data was decided according to the skewness and kurtosis values. After the data showed normal distribution, t-test, Pearson Correlation test, Multiple Regression analysis were performed in the analysis. As a result, while there were differences between university students’ leisure benefits and academic hopelessness according to their gender, a significant relationship was found between leisure benefits and entrepreneurship and academic hopelessness. In this context, it was concluded that social benefit from leisure benefits was a significant predictor of entrepreneurship and academic hopelessness.

AbstractThis study aims to examine the motivational factors that direct individuals to computer games in the process of evaluating leisure activities. The study is designed in descriptive and relational survey models, which are among the quantitative research patterns. A total of 1677 individuals participated in the study. A personal information form and the Computer Gaming Motivation Scale were used. An independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and Pearson correlation test were used to analyze the data. According to the results, there were significant differences in the concentration, entertainment, escape, learning, and socialization sub-dimensions of the participants in favor of the groups playing in Internet cafes. The findings indicate that when more time is spent with information and communication technologies, there is a decrease in concentration and an increase in entertainment and escape. Furthermore, when the relationship between the sub-dimensions of the scale was examined, positively moderate and high correlations were found among concentration, entertainment, escape, learning, and socialization. As a result, rapid technological changes and developments provide many opportunities for individuals. It is thought that individuals’ busy work lives and monotonous daily routines cause them to prefer easily accessible activities during their leisure time.

(1) Background: The appearance and progression of carious lesions represent a complex phenomenon of interactions of microbial factors (the action of bacteria on the tooth), of the factors related to the host, to the diet, and to the time factor. Which hasan influence on the rate of microbismof the oral cavity on the installation of carious disease? (2) Methods: In order to correctly assess the cariogenic risk of an individual, it is recommended to perform twoor more tests based on different principles (microbiological, clinical, epidemiological). The representative data series for the investigation were analyzed statistically and by applying the Pearson correlation test considering the coefficient of determination R for all pairs of data series. (3) Results: Salivary tests played animportant role in establishing control sessions, in carrying out prophylactic caries therapy, and establishing prognosis. The existence of a statistical associationwas confirmed between the prevalence of dental caries and the results of salivary tests for the study group. (4) Conclusions: The results of the saliva tests can be used in oral health promotion.
