The objective of this research is to find out whether the use of LRD Strategy can improve reading comprehension of grade ten students particularly in descriptive text. This researcher applied a quasi-experimental research design. The population of this research was grade ten students of SMK Negeri 6 Palu which consist of 108 students. The sample of this research was 36 students of class X TKJ 2 and considered as the experimental class while 36 students of class X TKJ 3 as the control class. The sample was selected using cluster random sampling technique. The technique of data collection was test that includes pre-test and post-test. While the mean score of pre-test in experimental class was about 49.71, the control class is 58.09. In post-test, experimental class got 64.76. On the other hand, the control class got 61.13. By applying 0.05 level of significance and 28 degree of freedom (df), as seen tha table that the value of t-counted is (2.12) and t-table is (1.703). The t-counted value is higher than t-table, which means that the research hypothesis is accepted. Therefore, the use of LRD Strategy can improve students’ reading comprehension in descriptive text.

The objectives of this research were to find out whether the use of Prezi with KWL Strategy enhances the reading comprehension and the students’ interest. This research employed quasi experimental design. The population of this research was the first grade students of SMA 2 Enrekang in academic 2017/2018. This research employed cluster random sampling technique. The sample consisted of 72 students which belong to two classes; 36 students in experimental class and also 36 students in control class. Research instruments were used to collect the data in this research namely reading comprehension test and questionnaire. The result of the students’ reading score in this research showed that the experimental class improved significantly from 69.69 up to 86.61. While, in control class the result improved from 66.22 up to 75.89. Therefore, the significant values of Independent t-test 0.000 < α = 0.05. It means that the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. Moreover, based on the students’ response on questionnaire showed that the mean score of interest was 80.61 and it was categorized as interested.

The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the cooperative learning model type student team's achievement division has on basketball shoot lay-up skills. The research method used in this research is a quasi-experimental method. The type of research design used was the non-equivalent group design. The population in this study were students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Majalengka in 2019 totaling 424 students. The sampling technique used in this study was cluster random sampling technique. The sample in this study amounted to 214 students consisting of class XI IPS 1-4 and XI MIPA 7-8. The experimental group class XI IPS 1-2 and XI MIPA, control group class XI IPS 3-4 and XI MIPA 8. The results showed that the mean pre-test lay-up shoot of the experimental group was 4.09 while the control group was 3.92. The mean post-test shoot lay-up of the experimental group was 6.76 while the control group was 4.72. Furthermore, by looking at 95% confidence interval of the difference, there is a difference between the shoot lay-up results of the experimental group and the control group, which is -0.190 to 2.412. Thus, it can be concluded that STAD is effective in improving basketball shoot lay-up skills.

This study aims to determine the differences in student achievement who are taught using interactive multimedia drills model with students who are taught using science comic media. This type of research is experimental research. The population in this study is all students of class VII MTs. The State of Selong Model and the sampling was determined by using cluster random sampling technique to select the class and simple random sampling to select the students in that class. The second sampling technique is random sampling by drawing lots, cluster random sampling, namely the class is divided into experimental class I, namely the class that is taught using interactive multimedia drills model (class VII-E) and the experimental class II, namely the class that is taught using comic media. science (class VII-F), each of which consists of 36 students. And simple random sampling, where students are drawn after data collection to reduce the sample to 30 students to facilitate hypothesis testing. The data collection technique used post-test while the data analysis technique to test the hypothesis was the t-test. The results of data analysis using t-test showed that there were differences in student achievement who were taught using interactive multimedia drills model with students who were taught using science comic media. This can be seen in the post-test results where t-count > t-table is 2.206 > 2.002. Thus H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there are differences in student achievement who are taught using interactive multimedia drills model with students who are taught using science comics

<p>The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of learning models to student achievement. Learning models compared between NHT-CTL, NHT and direct instruction. Method of research used quasi experimental with the factorial design of 3x1. Population of this research was all students class VIII in SMP Negeri at Madiun City. The sampling technique using a stratified cluster random sampling. Samples in this research were 266 students with 91 students as experimental class I, 88 students as experimental class II and 87 students as control class. Data collection methods used documentation and test.Hypothesis testing was performed using one-way analysis of variance with unequal cells. Based on the results of hypothesis testwere concluded that NHT-CTL learning model gave better achievement than NHT learning model and direct instruction, while NHT learning model and direct instruction gave the same achievement. </p>

This research aims at proving that the use of using Skimming and Scanning techniques are effective in improving reading comprehension of grade-eleven students of SMA Negeri 1 Tana Toraja. The method used in this research was true-experimental design random assignment pretest-posttest control group. The samples of this research were selected from the population of grade-eleven students of SMA Negeri 1 Tana Toraja by using random sampling technique. The instruments of data collection were observation checklist, questionnaire items and tests. The data were analyzed by using t-test statistical and descriptive methods. Based on the analysis, the result score of experimental class is 80.27 and control class is 67.02. By applying level of significance 0.05 and degree of freedom (df) 48, the t-counted value (4.3) is greater than t-table value (2013). Furthermore, based on the result of effectiveness indicators showed the score is 83% it means that the techniques are effective. In other words, applying skimming and scanning techniques are effective in improving students reading comprehension of the grade eleven students of SMA Negeri 1 Tana Toraja. This purpose of the research was to determine the effectiveness of learning start with a questionmethods on geometry learning. The effectiveness of these methods would be compared withpresentation method. The method of this research was quasi experimental method with 2x1factorial design. The population in this study was the third semester students at PGSD IKIPPGRI MADIUN while the sample was 3G as an experimental class and 3C as the control class.The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Methods of data collection in thisstudy was test method and divided into two: pre-test and post-test. Data analysis techniquesused in this study is a t-test with two independent samples. The results of this study were learningstarts with a question method was more effective than presentation method.

The objective of this research was aimed to investigate the effect of peer review on students’ motivation and ability in writing recount text.  The method of the research was a quasi-experimental design with a control and experimental group and a post-test only. The population of this research was the entire eight grade students of SMPN 1 Tanggunggunung. The cluster random sampling was used in the sampling technique. There were two classes of eight grade students as the sample of this research. They were VIII D that consists of 32 students as the control class and VIII G that consists of 30 students as the experimental class. Tests and questionnaires were the instruments of this research. The data collected from the tests were analyzed by using independent sample t-test and MANOVA through SPSS.  Results show that the independent sample t-test was 0.001 for motivation and 0.000 for the writing ability. Moreover, the result of the MANOVA test was 0.000. The results were consulted to the score of the significant value generated Sig. (P-value) < α = 0.05. Thus, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. In other words, the result of the study revealed that peer review gave a significant effect on the students’ motivation and ability in writing recount text. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect on the students’ writing motivation and writing ability who taught using peer review.

This research aims to determine whether students’ reading comprehension can be improved by using the Folklore Story. The participants were 20 eleventh grade students. The researcher had carried out research during the pandemic, the number of students was limited by the school. The research employed true experimental and need pre-test and post-test to both experimental class and control class. The population of this research is students in the eleventh grade of Man 1 Palu. The students were selected randomly. They are 20 students of class XI MIA 1 as the experiment class and XI MIA 4 as a control class. The research analysed the data statistically data collection. The result of data analysis shows that the experimental class (86) is higher than the mean score of the control class (69). The deviation score of experimental class (8.75) is higher than of the control class (5.37). So, the result of t-counted (1.644) which is higher than t-table (0.081). in analyzing the data, the researcher used 0.05 level of significance and the degree of freedom (df=10+10-2) it means that the hypothesis of the research was accepted. Therefore, the Folklore Story can improve students’ reading comprehension.

This study was conducted as an attempt to find out the effect of Think Pair Share Strategy on students’ reading comprehension achievement. This research used the experimental design. The population of this research was the students of SMP Budisatrya. The Sample of this research was the 2014/2015 seventh grade students of SMP Budisatrya with the total number 40 of students as sample taken by using random sampling technique. The research was divided into two groups: experimental and control groups. The instrument used to collect the data was multiple choice tests of pre-test and post-test. To obtain the result of the reliability of the test, the Kuder Richardson formula (KR21) was used. The result of the calculation showed that the reliability of the test was significant. The data were analyzed by using t-test formula. The result of the analysis showed that t- value was higher than t- table (2.46>2, 021) at the level of significance 0,05 with the degree of freedom (df) 38. Therefore, null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and hypothesis alternative (Ha) is accepted. It means that there is a significant effect of using Think Pair Share Strategy on students’ reading comprehension achievement.
