<p>The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of educational supervision as an independent variable on English language teachers’ teaching performance as a dependent variable as well as the role of training programs as a mediator variable. The investigation reported in the study was carried out among Libyan school teachers of English in the city of Zawiya in Libya. Reaching an overall number (N=3036) of teachers as reported by the Ministry of Education, the study sample was (N=351) teachers who were chosen using a random sampling technique. In order to achieve this, the study used a quantitative analysis, specifically a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to test the validity of the assumed relationships among these variables as well as structural equation modeling (SEM) through AMOS. The study obtained several results, most important of which indicated that educational supervision was positively correlated with teachers’ performance in teaching English. In addition, the results showed that training programs played an important role as a mediator variable in a making a higher indirect positive impact of educational supervision on teachers’ teaching performance. Based on these results, in order to enable the Libyan school teachers of English address their weaknesses and identify their strengths, educational supervisors should organize more effective activities related to teacher training. Their interests should not be exclusive to teachers’ imperfections, but they should interact and communicate with teachers for better identifications of their strengths and weaknesses. By so doing, teachers can promote their professional knowledge, skills and experiences.</p>

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) motivations of regulatory-focused customers with positive and negative consumption experiences. Design/methodology/approach An online survey is conducted in Beijing and Shanghai. A random sampling technique is used to collect data from 854 respondents. Two scenarios of eWOM communication – positive and negative consumption experiences – are randomly assigned to each respondent. This study employs the structural equation modeling and confirmatory factor analysis techniques. However, it uses ordinary least squares and logistic regression to analyze 137 participants in the experimental study. Findings Promotion-focused customers that aim for self-enhancement and obtaining social benefits are motivated to spread positive eWOM on social networking sites. However, prevention-focused customers are driven by vengeance and anxiety, revealing higher intentions to post negative eWOM on review sites. eWOM generation is subject to gender, as promotion-focused male customers spread it more than both prevention-focused and promotion-focused female customers. Moreover, platform assistance (PA) has a significant positive impact upon regulatory-focused customers and eWOM (positive vs negative) relationships. Practical implications This study provides a deeper understanding of motivational factors of eWOM communication. Specifically, in case of product or service failure, negative consumption experiences drive prevention-focused customers to generate negative eWOM. Thus, using various tactics, marketers need to shift customers from focusing on prevention to focusing on promotion. For example, redeemable free coupons can shift customer attention and generate positive eWOM. Originality/value This study provides unique insights about eWOM motivation across genders. It examines regulatory focus, positive vs negative consumption experiences and moderation of PA.


Organizational commitment among employees is important to determine organizational effectiveness as employees with higher organizational commitment have higher motivation to stay with their organization. In recent years, previous studies have shown that the teachers’ organizational commitment are low and moderate. Therefore, this study focuses on the effect of work passion toward organizational commitment with work intention as the mediator. The objectives of this study was to determine the effect of work passion on work intention and organizational commitment among teachers and to determine the role of work intention as a mediator in the effect of work passion on organizational commitment among teachers. This study employed a cross-sectional survey involving 355 school teachers in Malaysia through multi-stage cluster sampling technique. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, while confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM) were used to determine the fitness of the model with the data. Findings showed that organizational commitment and work passion among school teachers were moderate, while work intention was at a higher level. SEM analysis showed that the model has a good fit with CMIN/df= 3.22, GFI = 0.95, CFI=0.97, TLI=0.95, RMSEA=0.08. In addition, job factors have a significant direct effect on work intention and organizational commitment. Results also showed that work intention mediated the relationship between work passion and organizational commitment. The results of this imply the importance of work passion and work intention in enhancing organizational commitment among teachers in Malaysia.

<p>This research, which was conducted in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, aims to analyze the influence of the dimensions of service quality, competitive prices, customer satisfaction toward the positive word-of-mouth of Supermarket customers. Questionnaires were distributed to 350 respondents as samples using the <em>non-probability sampling method</em> and <em>purposive sampling technique</em>. Meanwhile, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is used to analyze the data. The results of the study indicate that <em>Reliability, Assurance, Tangibles, Empathy, Responsiveness, Competitive Price</em> have positive and significant effects on<em>Customer Satisfaction</em>, which in turn would have a positive impact on positive word-of-mouth. Of all dimensions of service quality, the most powerful factor influencing consumer satisfaction shopping in supermarkets is reliability, and the one that gives consumers the most important feeling in providing quality services is Responsiveness. For further research, it is recommended to expand the scope of research in various types of businesses, not only in supermarkets.</p>

(1) Background: The aim of this study is to describe manager–employee and employee–employee relations during the COVID-19 pandemic and their impact on measures of the likely use of elements of remote teaching by university employees in the future. (2) Methods: The study used a descriptive-correlation research design with a survey as the primary instrument for data gathering. A total of 732 personnel took part in the survey, selected by a convenience sampling technique. The researchers used an adapted and modified instrument to gather data. The instrument underwent a reliability test. This study used structural equation modeling to confirm hypotheses. (3) Results: It was shown that manager–employee relations at Polish universities during the COVID-19 pandemic were of low quality. However, employee–employee relations were of above-average quality, and have a significant positive impact on intentions to use elements of remote working in the future. (4) Conclusions: Based on the results of the study, some general recommendations are presented for change management and relationship-building.

Well-being has a major contribution to the prosperity and strong economy system of any country. There are several factors that possibly improve employee well-being including income and family background and education level. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of income and family background with education level as an intervening variable. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the targeted respondents. Structural equation modeling through Smart PLS was applied to test the proposed research hypotheses. The findings demonstrate that Income and family background have a positive impact on the well-being of SMEs operating in pharmaceutical SMEs industry in Indonesia. This study will help to comprehend the importance of income and family background on well-being in SMEs and provide guidance to capitalize it prudently. This research contributes to the existing literature by investigating effect of income, family background and education level on well- being of pharmaceutical manufacturing SMEs in Indonesia.

Women entrepreneurship is a highly stressful initiative which requires mental efforts related to psychological characteristics. In some Islamic families, women are less empowered, as their mobility is constrained and certain traditions and values observed by society affect their achievement in business. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effects of several psychological capital (PC) factors on the business performance (BP) of Muslim women entrepreneurs (MWEs) in Sri Lanka. The measurement of PC entails the factors of need for achievement (NA), risk taking (RT), internal locus of control (ILC), and independent motives (IM). Data were collected using a structured questionnaire; the study sample involved 260 MWEs from Sri Lanka’s Eastern Province selected via the simple random sampling technique. The structural equation modeling (SEM) method with AMOS was used to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings show that only RT had a significant and positive impact on BP, whereas NA, ILC, and IM did not significantly influence the BP of MWEs in Sri Lanka. In short, those who were risk takers were able to make positive achievements in their business ventures. The study findings provide evidence of the significance of family members, spouses and social stigma on the MWEs’ psychological state and ultimately their business performance.

The objective of this study is to find out the impact of trustworthiness on the usage of mobile banking (M-banking) apps in the capital city of Bangladesh. A structured questionnaire was distributed using the snowball sampling technique. Confirmatory factor analyses and structural equation modeling (using SPSS Statistics 20.0 and AMOS 26.0) were used on 362 responses found suitable for the study. The analytical results reveal that all three components of trustworthiness (ability, benevolence, and integrity) have a positive impact on M-banking app usage. Although banks have realized the importance of consumer convenience, they struggle to create trustworthiness. Thus, this study showcases that this positive trustworthiness amongst M-banking app users would be helpful in enhancing the usage of apps.

This study aims to examine the relationships between after-sales service, customer satisfaction, and loyalty. Moreover, this study also explains how after-sales services such as delivery, installation, product warranty, telephone/online supports, up gradation, and complaint influence customer loyalty with the mediating role of customer satisfaction. Online data were collected using a convenience sampling technique from 204 respondents who were currently using the Internet (i.e., 3G, 4G devices or fixed broadband) in Pakistan. The online-based questionnaire was implemented a five-point Likert scale with 38 items. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was performed to test the hypotheses. The results show (a) after-sales service has a significant influence on customer loyalty, (b) after-sales services effect customer satisfaction positively, (c) customer satisfaction has a direct and positive impact on loyalty, and (d) satisfaction partially mediates between after-sales service and loyalty. This study explains how service sector organizations maintain a profitable long-term relationship with customers, and how to get customer satisfaction and loyalty. In addition, this research may contribute to the literature that there exists a positive relationship between after-sales service, satisfaction, and loyalty which could apply to other service industries as well.

Digitalization has significant power to boost the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Most scholars approached the phenomenon from different standpoints by examining the effects of information technology skills, digital skills, information systems capabilities, information and communication technologies (ICT) adoption, and digitalization on firm performance. However, although the terms are interrelated, the impact of digital maturity on SMEs' performance has been rarely investigated. Digital maturity examines the extent of digitalization and digital capabilities of organizations, which is essential in evaluating state-of-the-art organizations' digitalization efforts and providing a roadmap for further improvement. Although digitalization offers various benefits to organizations, its direct effect on the performance outcome is still arguable. Prior studies had revealed mixed findings when they assessed the impact of digital maturity on firm performance. Hence, some studies called for research for the examination of possible intervening variables. Consequently, this study examines the effects of digital maturity and organizational agility on firm performance. Furthermore, the moderating role of organizational agility in the digital maturity-firm performance link is also investigated. Data for testing the proposed model was collected from SMEs in the Marmara Region of Turkey using a convenience sampling technique. The structural equation modeling with partial least squares estimation (PLS-SEM) approach was used to analyze 119 responses collected from SMEs via face-to-face and online questionnaires. Eighty-two of the respondents identified themselves as entrepreneurs/partners. 13 respondents are senior executives, 14 are mid-level managers, 8 are white-collar employees, and two stated that they work in different positions than these. The findings show that organizational agility and digital maturity have a positive impact on firm performance. However, when the role of organizational agility is examined as a moderator, it is discovered that the factor reduces the effect of digital maturity on firm performance.

Social cognitive theory explains how the individual's environment can influence the emergence of intrinsic motivation which can encourage students to be able to learn independently and be able to achieve learning goals. This study aims to analyze the effect of parental social support and achievement motivation with self-regulated learning with interest as a mediator variable. This research was conducted in 3 different schools. The number of the population in this study amounted to 730 students. While the number of samples used was 288 students. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling technique with the criteria for assessing favorite, ordinary and less favorite schools based on the assessment of the surrounding community. The data analysis technique used is the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) model with the AMOS program. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between social support and achievement motivation on interest. There is a significant influence between social support, achievement motivation and interest in self-regulated learning. There is an influence between social support and achievement motivation on self-regulated learning through interest variables. Students who have high motivation tend to apply high self-regulated learning so that students are encouraged to improve their performance, have the courage to take risks, are creative, and innovative. This can be used as a theoretical and empirical reference in developing student learning independence.
