This paper made an investigation into the motivation-behaviors affecting factors of the carefully-selected 20 willing learners, 20 unwilling learners among 597 students from foreign languages department in two higher vocational colleges. An analysis has been made in the learning-motivation-behavior affecting factors route paths of students in higher vocational colleges. We found that there are universality and individuality in factors that predict the motivation behavior of three categories of students. Predictive factors of motivational behavior include motivation levels and learning strategies. The regression effects of learning strategies on motivational behavior are the greatest in the three categories of path analysis. It shows that learning strategies determine the performance of their motivational behavior, at the same time, it shows individual variance.

The article tackles the problem of teaching foreign languages to seniors. The general trends in FL education for the third-age learners are outlined. The institutions in which seniors can study foreign languages in Poland are enumerated. The psychological, physiological, methodological and social peculiarities of teaching a foreign language to the third agers are analyzed. Special emphasis is laid upon educational needs of the Third Age learners. Some language learning strategies which help seniors’ foreign language learning are suggested.

This study tested relationships between foreign language (FL) reading and listening anxiety and learner variables in English as a foreign language (EFL). It tested links between foreign language anxiety (FLA) and its cognitive, affective and behavioral correlates in English (i.e. language learning strategies, learning motivation, and performance). Three-hundred-and-six Chinese undergraduates learning EFL were administered the measures via a questionnaire. Regression analyses indicated that EFL performance and EFL motivation were key factors that uniquely predicted EFL reading and listening anxiety. However, the role of EFL learning strategies was not significant after the effects of EFL performance and EFL motivation were controlled for. Despite this, mediation analyses revealed that EFL learning strategies had a significant indirect effect on EFL reading performance and listening anxiety levels with EFL learning motivation as a mediator. This suggests its secondary role in affecting FL anxieties. These findings provide important implications regarding assessment of students’ FL anxiety level as well as identification of and intervention for those with FL difficulties. These findings have extended past studies by highlighting the relative importance of these cognitive, affective and behavioral correlates on Chinese undergraduates’ EFL anxiety in specific domains.

In Law on the Occupation of Notary Article 43, there are 2 (two) contradicting Paragraphs, namely Paragraph (1) and Paragraph (3). In Paragraph (1) it is stated that "deeds must be made in Indonesian", while in Paragraph (3) it states "if the parties wish, the deed can be drawn up in a foreign language". The disharmony of the 2 (two) rules could potentially reduce the perfection of the deed. As for the problems raised in this study regarding what is the notary's responsibility in making authentic deeds in foreign languages? and what is the urgency of using Indonesian in making authentic deeds? Then the objective of this research is to knowing the Notary's responsibility in making authentic deeds in foreign languages ??and to find out how much urgency the use of Indonesian is in making authentic deeds. This study is using a normative research method with statutory approach. Through this research it is known that the responsibility of notaries in making authentic deeds in foreign languages ??can be classified into administrative, civil and criminal responsibilities, then it is known that the urgency of using Indonesian in making deeds is very important because the regulation of the applicatian of Indonesian in the territory of the Indonesian state is clearly stated in Article 36 of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia.

At the tertiary level, English as a General Subject supports the learning process's main course. The observations show they are not yet proficient enough to use it. It causes indisposed motivation, dearth vocabulary, low learning interest, short time allocation, and others. Therefore, the researchers provide a solution by applying the Integrated Approach. The research objectives are to determine whether the Integrated Approach can improve English competency and learning motivation, how the learners’ improvement process, and what factors influence these improvements. It is action research, which was Accounting majoring students as subjects - Islamic University of Indragiri. The data collection process used tests and questionnaires. Furthermore, the results showed an increase in their competence and motivation to learn English before and after the Integrated Approach. The improvement process covers several activities; socializing, analyzing, monitoring, guiding, and practicing. Meanwhile, the development affecting factors are internal and external factors such as learning motivation, teaching methods, and the instructors’ roles. In conclusion, the Integrated Approach application positively contributes to the learners’ learning outcomes and motivation.

Learning is an important part in the transformation of knowledge in both formal and non-formal education. As time goes by and the learning process still faces various problems in the field. Among those problems is related to the use of learning strategies by a teacher. The use of learning strategies should be able to increase learning motivation, but there are many uses of learning strategies that can not increase student motivation. From here the researchers tried to implement participatory learning strategies to increase student learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education subjects. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the effectiveness of the implementation of Participatory Learning Learning Strategies in Improving Student Learning Motivation in Islamic Religious Education Subjects in Pontang 1 Junior High School. While the purpose of this study is to describe the Effectiveness of Implementing Participatory Learning Strategies in Improving Student Learning Motivation in Islamic Religious Education Subjects. This research was conducted at Pontang 1 Junior High School. The research approach used in this study uses a qualitative approach while the research method used is a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model, which is an interactive analysis model. The steps of analysis include data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The informants in this study are the principal, teachers of Islamic education subjects and students. In the process of carrying out this research there were 6 stages that were passed. The stages are as follows: 1) The stage of fostering familiarity, 2) The stage of identifying needs, resources, and possible barriers to learning, 3) The stage of formulating learning objectives, 4) The stage of preparing learning activities programs, 5) The stage of implementing learning activities and 6) Stage of assessment of the process and results of learning activities. The results of this study indicate that the application of this learning strategy is less effective for learning Islamic Religious Education subjects. students do not have a high motivation to learn so, in learning many students do not pay attention to the material. So that the application of this learning strategy is less effective students are less interested and less motivated to learn Islamic Religious Education because the material has already been obtained.

<p><span class="fontstyle0">This study aims to examine the influence of the use of e-learning, peer group and learning motivation towards learning outcomes of Accounting in class X Accounting of SMK Hidayah Semarang. The sample of this study was students of class X Accounting SMK Hidayah Semarang with total of 41 students. A self-administered questionnaires and multiple regression analysis were used to test the research question. In addition, the results showed that there is a positive and significant effect both simultaneously and partially from the use of e-learning, peer group and learning motivation towards learning outcomes in class X Accounting at SMK Hidayah Semarang. The improvement and intensity in using e-learning strategies, teacher's attention to the students’ peer environment specifically on cooperation and competition among students, and students' intelligence in interacting and establishing fair cooperation in the academic context with their peers are very important factors towards learning outcomes</span></p><p><strong><em> <span class="fontstyle0">Keywords: learning outcomes; e-learning; peer group; motivation</span> </em></strong></p><p><strong><em></em><br /></strong></p>

Language Learning Strategies (LLSs) are specific actions, behaviors, steps, or techniques that the learners use them to improve their performance which is important for L2/FL learning and teaching. These strategies are as affecting factors on success or failure of the language learning process. Hence, this paper explores the English language learners’ learning strategies to develop their communicative competence within the theoretical stance of Oxford’s 1990 Language Learning Strategies (LLSs). The study is qualitative in nature where four participants were interviewed to understand their ontological perspectives and practices of different LLSs to enhance their communicative ability in English. The findings show the learners seemed to be usual strategy users. However, social, affective, and metacognitive strategies frequent strategies for developing their communicative competence. It further depicts learners are not always aware of the influence of consciously using language learning strategies for making their learning quicker and more effective. Thus, the teachers need to be the one who helps their students develop the awareness of language learning strategies and enable them to use a wider range of appropriate strategies for further success in their communicative competence.

AbstractAlthough major advances have been made in research on language learning strategies (LLS), there are some areas that have been somewhat surprisingly neglected by specialists. This applies without doubt to the strategies that learners draw on to better understand and learn grammar rules but also to employ grammar structures in real-time processing, as required in spontaneous communication. In this paper, I outline a research agenda for grammar learning strategies (GLS), identifying three distinct lines of inquiry: (1) identification and measurement of GLS, (2) examination of factors moderating GLS use, and (3) strategies-based instruction as applied to GLS. Although these three areas are to some extent reflective of the main foci of empirical investigations in research on LLS, in each case, I try to demonstrate how cutting-edge theoretical and empirical developments can be applied to the study of GLS. For each of the three areas, I propose research tasks the execution of which has the potential of moving research on GLS forward.
