The purpose of this study is to examine the recreational tourism preferences of university students within the framework of their push and pull travel motivations. In addition, it was aimed to highlight how some variables and motivations affect tourism preferences in mutual interaction. Validity and reliability were obtained by “Scale of Recreational Activities in Destination Choices” (SRADC), “Scale of Intrinsic Travel Motivations” (SITM) and “Scale of Extrinsic Travel Motivations” (SETM) conducted by Özdemir, Karaküçük, and Büyüköztürk (2013). Descriptive statistics, independent sample t test, one way ANOVA and Univariate test were used for data analysis, for in-group comparisons Tukey (HSD-LSD) and Pearson Correlation test were used. In this study, it was determined that .85 for recreational activities in destination choices scale, .90 for SITM and .91 for SETM. While the push and pull travel motivation of the participants was above the mean values (123.96 ± 15.65; 121.35 ± 16.81), the highest subscale score in push travel motivation was obtained by the Exploring-Knowledge subdimension (39.01 ± 5.74). The highest sub-dimension score was obtained from the Escape sub-dimension (38.31 ± 5.98). In the pull travel motivation sub-dimensions, the highest sub-dimension score was the quality-atmosphere sub-dimension (39.29 ± 5.24), while the lowest sub-dimension score was obtained by the Natural Environment sub-dimension (19.98 ± 4.58). The findings of the study showed that the importance given to recreational activities was influenced by variables such as gender, year of study and perceived welfare, but also revealed differences in gender, field of study, year of study, and perceived welfare in push and pull travel motivations. In addition, there is a moderate positive relationship between recreational choices, push travel motivation and pull travel motivation. As a result, it has been determined that university students have high push and pull travel motivation and recreation preferences are differentiated between SITM and SETM by certain variables.

The aim of this study was to explain of destination choices based upon recreational opportunities through intrinsic and extrinsic travel motivations. 700 students constitute the sample group from the universities of the city of Ankara. The data collection tool “Scale of Recreational Activities in Destination Choices” (SRADC), “Scale of Intrinsic Travel Motivations” (SITM) and “Scale of Extrinsic Travel Motivations” (SETM) which had been developed by the researcher himself and whose validity and reliability had been confirmed, were used. “Hierarchical Multiple Linear Regression Analysis” and “Multivariate ANOVA Analysis” were used in the analysis of data. According to research results, attaching importance on recreational activities while making destination preferences can be explained by intrinsic and extrinsic travel motivations. It was understood that while university students were making destination preferences, intrinsic travel motivations were primarily effective in placing importance on recreational activities. With respect to significance level, students, whose “travel bragging-prestige”, “exploring-knowledge”, “visiting friends and relatives” and “escape” motivations were high, gave much importance to recreational activities in their destination preferences. While attaching importance to recreational activities, extrinsic travel motivations presented a secondary significance in due course of university students’ destination preferences. Hereunder, “culture and historic heritage”, “natural environment” and “popularity” motivations are important at a significant level. Considering the other results attained at the research, it was seen that female students gave importance to recreational activities relatively more than male students, students at state universities gave more importance to recreational activities than the ones at private universities.ÖzetBu araştırmanın amacı, rekreasyonel olanaklara dayalı yapılan destinasyon tercihlerinin motivasyonel ve demografik faktörler yoluyla açıklanmasıdır.

Tourism is considered one of the fundamental industries worldwide, which has the potential to strengthen economic development. In 2017 only, tourist comings to Malaysia generated a national income of RM49.6 billion. This study aims to determine whether tourists are gratified with their visit to Terengganu for tourism and to explore the factors influencing the tourist satisfaction by push and pull travel motivations. The tourists’ perceptions are important since they could be used to determine the degree of their contribution to the development of tourism. The findings indicated that the overall tourist satisfaction with their visit to Terengganu is high, with a mean value of 3.84. The findings also showed that factors influencing the tourists to visit Terengganu are hospitality of the service providers, friendly attitude of the local communities, local culture, and attractive scenery. There is a need for concerted efforts to increase the tourists’ satisfaction since it influences their intention for future visit to the state.

A rigorous analysis of tourist motivation should guide the success of marketing destinations, and the primary objective of this study is to use widely accepted ‘integrative models of push and pull motives’ to analyze travel motivations of Nepali domestic tourists. Drawing from the previous studies, investigating the direct effect of push and pull motives on domestic travel motivation, this study proposes that both push and pull motives are important determinants of domestic travel motivations, however pull factors are significantly more important than push factors for domestic travel motivations. 132 domestic travellers who travelled domestically in past six months participated in the study. One sample T-test, paired-samples T-test and mean ranking were conducted to test hypotheses. One sample T-test showed significant importance of both implicit and explicit motives, and paired sample T-test results showed pull motives are significantly more important for domestic travel motivation. Mean ranking of the constructs within pull motives showed easy access and affordability, variety seeking and history culture are top reasons for domestic travellers to visit a place. Escape daily life, seeking relaxation and sightseeing variety were top three reasons for domestic travel motivation as push motive constructs. The study’s findings unravel Nepal’s domestic tourist’s motivations, and provide practitioners and policymakers with a base to develop an effective strategy to improve the domestic tourism in Nepal.

Resilience is a phenomenon that can be studied in catastrophic situations but also in everyday matters such as disability, this being an alternative way of working in the environment that requires the adaptation of the social networks that contain and support people with this condition. The research was conducted at the Technical University of Manabí applied to the population of students with disabilities. The paper presents an analysis of support networks and their relationship with student resilience. The results related to the application of the Saavedra-Villalta test are shown, which allowed to correlate the level of resilience of the sample studied with the support networks. An analysis linked to the interpretation of the Pearson correlation coefficient is presented. The result obtained is presented by applying semi-structured interviews to a sample of 48 disabled students.

Aim: The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between leisure management and test anxiety levels of university students and their differentiation status in terms of some demographic variables. Methods: The relational survey model was used in the study, and there were 284 (147 male and 137 female) university students selected from the universe by convenient sampling method. Personal information form prepared by the researchers, “Leisure Management Scale (LMS)” and “Test Anxiety Inventory (TAI)” were used as data collection tools. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics, t-Test and Pearson Correlation analyzes were used by using SPSS 26.0 program. Results: There was no significant difference in the sub-dimensions of the leisure management scale and the total score averages according to the gender variable, while a significant difference was found in the TAI "delusional", "affective" sub-dimensions and total score averages. According to the family income variable of university students, a low-level and negative significant relationship was found in the "leisure attitude" sub-dimension of LMS, and in the total TAI and "delusional sub-dimension". A significant relationship was found between the age variable and the "goal setting and method" sub-dimension of LMS. A low and negative significant relationship was found between leisure and "goal setting and method", "leisure attitude" and total LMS score averages. In addition, while there was no significant relationship between LMS and TAI, it was found that there was a low and negative significant relationship between the "leisure attitude" sub-dimension and the test anxiety inventory and its sub-dimensions. Conclusion: It can be said that as the level of attitude towards leisure activities of university students’ increases, the feeling of exam anxiety may decrease, and the increase in free time will adversely affect the level of leisure management and attitude. Keywords: University students, Leisure management, Exam anxiety level. *It was presented as an oral presentation at the 5th Academic Sports Research Congress
