This study analyzes how Knowledge about environmental problems, "Perceived consumer effectiveness, and "Recycling behavior can predict Reported purchase of green products in general, and Reported purchase of specific green products. Another objective of this study is to identify different consumer segments based on antecedents of green purchasing behavior, observing demographic profiles and willingness to buy this type of products. The data was collected in Portugal with the use of an online survey and the instrument was composed of five scales, adapted from previous studies. The results confirm the existence of a positive relationship between the constructs. It is also possible to identify three segments of consumers: Less involved, Moderate, and Ecologists. This study has some practical implications, showing that consumption of green products can be stimulated if consumers are more aware of environmental problems and understand the importance of their individual behavior to prevent them.

Retailers and companies increasingly employ corporate social responsibility (CSR) as a global management strategy. They are motivated to act in a socially responsive manner to their global customers not only to fulfill their ethical obligations as a social entity but also due to the marketing and financial benefits resulting from consumer responses to CSR initiatives. Therefore, many retailers develop or participate in CSR activities and hope their actions can be recognized by others. Further, CSR activities are more likely to be perceived and accepted by consumers who show ethical purchasing behavior while shopping. Ethical purchasing behavior or socially responsible purchasing behavior is formed by their beliefs and norms which are influenced significantly by the culture they belong to. This study examined the differences between two countries with opposite cultures (i.e., the U.S. and South Korea) by considering the drivers (i.e., perceived consumer effectiveness, awareness, collectivism) and a consequence (i.e., satisfaction) of ethical purchase behavior. The findings suggested that perceived consumer effectiveness and awareness are important drivers to generate consumers’ commitment to companies’ CSR initiatives in general and the effectiveness is stronger in Korea than in United States. Implications and limitations were discussed.

Rapid economic developments have led to the excessive consumption of environmental resources. Consumption patterns play a crucial role in deteriorating environmental conditions and influencing consumers to seek sustainability features while purchasing different products. The purpose of this paper was to analyze the sustainability factors that have prompted consumers in Malaysia to buy green products. The primary elements of this research focused on environmental concern, green product awareness, government support, perceived ecological value, community green practice, purchase intention, and green product purchase behavior. Additionally, to explain the relationship between the independent and dependent variables, this research employed the theory of planned behavior as a theoretical framework. A total of 300 questionnaires were collected and examined using smart PLS-SEM. The findings of the research suggest that all factors, including environmental concern, green product awareness, government support, perceived ecological value, community green practice, and purchase intention, influence consumers in Malaysia to purchase green products. Finally, this research discusses the contribution, limitations, and suggestions for future studies related to purchasing behavior towards green products.

 This paper aims to study a set of motives favoring purchase behavior while testing the mediating role of purchase intention within the context of green consumption. The literature review enabled us to distinguish mostly the following motives: health consciousness, environmental concern and the consumer’s social influence. The moderating roles of perceived consumer effectiveness and price sensitivity are also examined. The findings of a quantitative study involving 480 Tunisian consumers of green products indicate that protecting their health, supporting their environment and expressing their social affiliation are important motives of the consumers’ intention to buy green products. The intensity of these relationships is significantly moderated by the ‘consumer perceived effectiveness’. Thus, for the Tunisian consumer, a purchase intention is not consistent with a purchase behavior. It is indeed affected, in particular, by price sensitivity. The present study provides managerial insights for green marketers to operate in fast growing emerging markets.

The objective of this study is to analyze social media effect on brand image and purchase intention. The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of Word-of-Mouth (WOM) communication on social media negatively or positively towards the brand / product rumored asnot halal. The investigation shows that about 82 percent of respondents are internet / social networking (such as Facebook or Twitter) users for over 5 years. With the extent of network and the increasing number of users of social networking (Facebook, twitter) then if WOM is used, itwill result in a major impact on the brand image, brand awareness and purchasing behavior. Design / methodology / approach - To collect the data, this paper uses an online survey of social media users (Facebook and Twitter in particular). To analyze the data, this study uses StructuralEquation Modeling (SEM). Findings - The research on WOM as a means of communication has been done by many researchers. The widespread use of social media results in the magnitude impact of WOM on brand, like a bomb such as the impact on the brand, good brand reputation /brand image, brand awareness which in turn will affect the purchasing behavior (attitudes, interests and action). As a Muslim-majority country, Indonesia is very concerned about halal products, so when the news spread about the products suspected to contain haram substances, thenews will have an impact on the reputation and image of the brand and also have a major impact on purchase behavior. Research limitations / implications - This study provides insight into the role of WOM information on social media which is limited to users of Facebook and twitter inshaping attitudes towards the issue of the purchase of products containing haram substances. However, the specific characteristics of the truth of the WOM information in shaping perceptions that affects halal / haram products is not explored in this study. Originality / value - The results can help practitioners to determine and overcome the impact of WOM in socialmedia and provide correct information to make marketing communications more efficient and powerful.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the influential aspects of consumers' purchase behavior of green products perspectives in Bangladesh. Research methodology: The study was quantitative in nature. The main methodology chosen for this study was the questionnaire survey method (online survey). Primary data were gained through a structured questionnaire survey from 324 Bangladeshi respondents using a seven-point Likert scale from strongly disagree to strongly agree. Data were analyzed by statistical package for social science (SPSS) 25.0. Results: The study results found all the variables are significant with Consumers' green purchase behavior in Bangladesh. As the interpretation of descriptive and regression analyses, Environmental consciousness is the most influential factor in Consumers' green purchase behavior in Bangladesh. Other independent variables like Environmental Responsibility, Environmental Knowledge, Product Quality, Environmental Protection, Social Appeal, Green Advertisement also have positive & significant influences respectively. Limitation: The research was conducted & focused on Bangladesh only, so the study result may not be applicable in any other geographical location. The study was also limited by the sample size of 324 which is not representative of all customers in Bangladesh. There may have other variables except for the variables that are measured in this research. Contribution: The result and analyses of the study will be supportive for the researchers, government, marketing specialist, and business people to gain an insight into Consumers' green buying behavior in Bangladesh and direct them to find out other significant factors related to Consumers' green purchase behavior so that they can formulate their strategies & policies regarding environmental and consumption issues. Abstract The present paper seeks to address a gap in the literature regarding green marketing and examines the relationship between ecological concern, inward and outward environmental attitudes, purchasing behavior and environmental behavior as antecedents of green purchasing behavior. The data was gathered through an online survey carried out in Portugal with 530 valid answers. Structural Equation Modelling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was used to evaluate the model. A t-test was applied to identify differences between men and women. The results show that ecological concern, environmental attitude, environmental behavior and purchase intention are good predictors of green purchase behavior. Women scored higher than men on all variables, meaning that they are indeed superior environmentalists than men. Green purchase behavior is strongly influenced by both purchase intention and environmental behavior, so green brands should focus on targeting individuals that already take some actions in what concerns the environment, or to those who intend to do so.

The rise of Indonesian local fashion brands could be seen from the phenomenon that is happening in the last few years. Kapferer and Schuiling (2016), mentioned that companies have the tendency to focus on the expansion of global brands that then affect to the disadvantage of local brands. While it is quite the contrary of what happens in Indonesia based on Deloitte (2016) findings that most Indonesians are still preferred to buy local fashion brands instead of global fashion brands, the only Indonesian category that prefers to buy global fashion brands are people with monthly income above IDR 10 millions. Thus, even that Indonesia is a compelling market potential for both international and local companies, it is an amusing phenomenon to be the subject of the study to find Indonesian purchasing behavior towards its local brands. This study aims to uncover the purchase behavior of Indonesian towards its local brands. Given several variables regarding to prior studies, The study will be conducted through online survey that is limited to people age 18 – 49 that domiciled in Jakarta, Bandung, and Surabaya. The survey outcome will be processed using multilinear regression (MLR) method to see which variables that most influence the purchase intention towards Indonesian local fashion brands. Environmental degradation is a serious problem in modern civilization as it causes changes in consumer behavior towards ecologically responsible purchasing. In order to understand the green product purchasing decision process, an extensive literature review on green purchasing behavior was conducted. The current study is an exploratory research and the purpose of this paper was to investigate how sociodemographic factors explain consumers’ green purchase behavior. The differences between gender, age, education level, personal financial situation, and the number of children in the family were examined. To achieve the goal, we conducted a survey among 650 Polish consumers. Our findings suggest that all of the above-mentioned sociodemographic variables have an impact on awareness and purchasing behavior towards green products. Moreover, the results show that female consumers have more positive attitudes towards purchasing green products, than male consumers. Young consumers are skeptical about green products. A positive relationship was established between education and the acknowledgement of the dominance of one’s own needs over the needs of the environment. The better the personal financial situation, the more people expressed their intention to buy green products. The paper shows the implications for marketing. In addition, our exploratory research shows future research directions based on findings from the point of view of green consumer behavior. The study is an in-depth analysis of the factors determining green purchasing behavior. It contributes to the current literature by strengthening the existing knowledge about the factors influencing green purchase behavior in developing countries.

Purpose Many reviews on the internet are contributed their time to evaluate which are largely transparent generally; however, How are these information valuable and useful to visitors before making a purchasing decision? As the reason, there is a need to understand the distal path of visitors concern. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the effects of both perceived useful and valuable motivations on visitors’ willingness to buy in the distal paths. Design/methodology/approach Web questionnaire survey. Findings Visitors’ confirmation was the beginning to impact the intention to buy through only one distal path, perceived value (PV) and satisfaction. Research limitations/implications Even though the author tried his best to design and implement thoughtfully for this research, there are still some limitations. First, the results could be influenced by self-selection bias. The sample of respondents surveyed in this study consisted of young adults (58.90 percent were between the ages 21 and 25 years old), the majority of whom (54.79 percent) were students. Therefore, in the context of this study, the visitors surveyed were young and able to easily access information online. The phenomenon has been, proved by Hsu (2013), found, it still needs to explore further. Second, perceived usefulness did not have a significant impact on satisfaction which consistent with Tao et al. (2009) result. The data represent the response’ feeling for now; it needs to be explored further. Third, it would also be worthwhile to investigate any obstacles, such as believable (Cheung et al., 2012) that might reduce the intentions to buy of visitors. Finally, recommendations and promotions have also been found to influence visitors’ further purchasing behavior, such as extra buy (Tsao, 2013). These phenomena are worth investigating in future research. Practical implications To inspire visitors, information of reviews can be posted by offering positive or negative suggestions (e.g. good or bad experience); managers should improve their products or services from the suggestions of reviews and need to consider the distinctive influences of various aspects of reviews when promoting products and devising e-marketing strategies. Marketers should recruit and filter reviews to write positive suggestions of their own products or service. IS practitioners should post the reviews might need to provide more detailed information (e.g. the reasons of like or dislike). The posted information from reviews should be accurate, particularly aiming at visitors who are motivated by reviews’ suggestions. All proposed measures are particularly important for visitors with sufficient reviews effects. Greater transparency of reviews might be achieved by more explicit reviews information (e.g. via like or dislike statements). Social implications The result provides a basis to generate concrete advice for owners about reviews concern to enhance visitors’ PV. It seems sensible to pursue two strategies: first, enhance the visitors’ PV to trigger motivation forward, and second, inspire the visitors to progress smoothly in the visiting stage. Originality/value The results of the expectation-confirmation theory applied to reviews recommendations how important to employ for enterprises. These reviews were either directly given by experienced users or at least validated with their help to visitors. Therefore, the value is building the distal bridge between visitors and customers through online general reviews.

The 2 types of exchange relationship perceptions—social exchange relationship perceptions (SERPs) and economic exchange relationship perceptions (EERPs)—constitute the primary concept for understanding individual behavior in the workplace. Using a sample of 581 employees from Mainland China, I explored the effects of SERPs and EERPs on employee extrarole behavior (ERB), as well as the moderating effect of organization-based self-esteem (OBSE) on the relationships between SERPs and ERB, and between EERPs and ERB. The results revealed a significant positive relationship between SERPs and ERB, a significant negative relationship between EERPs and ERB, and a significant moderating effect for OBSE. Theoretical and practical implications of these findings are discussed.
