Bacteria are distributed in various places in nature and in industries, examples include human intestine, sewage treatment, food production and even food poisoning. Thus, the separation of bacteria from various samples is an important technique for medical and industrial applications. In recent years, separation of bacteria was commonly performed by a colony count method. This method, however, takes long time of operation and cannot be applied to bacteria for which culture method has not been established.

To ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers, maintenance of the electrical networks in a working condition is today carried out through the use of a system of preventive maintenance. In the general case such a system allows building equipment repair schedules based on repair cycles for a long time predetermining the list of necessary material and labor resources in advance. However, in practice, the use of this system is rather difficult and not always effective. This is due to the need to change the repair schedule for emergency or urgent repairs taking into account the seasonality of work performed and the organizational structure of the production department of electrical networks and related departments as well as taking into account the specific features of the operation of specific equipment. Taking into account the current pace of development of electrical networks with a steady increase in the number of consumers (which also leads to a complication of the configuration of electrical networks) this is impossible without the use of appropriate mathematics and software that automates the planning processes for the maintenance and repair of electrical networks with a large number of factors. The minimum equipment downtime was taken as the main criterion for optimality, as a factor that largely determines the reliability of power supply. A planning algorithm has been developed that takes into account the ranking of works in order of importance, the possibility of their shift in time and the likely adjustment of the schedule based on the results of assessing the technical condition of the equipment. A method for minimizing the downtime of repair crews by using them in adjacent areas as well as a technique for identifying a set of equipment that may be under repair in the same period of time are proposed.

Nowadays, the age of most transport facilities in Russian Federation is estimated in many decades. Consequently, there is an urgent need for periodic surveys and monitoring of the state of each structure, its individual structural elements. The main purpose of these measures is to maintain the high performance indicators of the transport structure, the achievement of which is impossible without examination, analysis and evaluation of parts of the structure that are in the aquatic environment and, as a consequence, the occurrence and development of various types and degrees of defects and damages. The most important conditions for ensuring uninterrupted and safe traffic along the bridges of vehicles and pedestrians are: the normative load-carrying capacity of the structure; required clearance of the roadway and sidewalks; compliance with traffic safety requirements for bridges; observance of characteristics and maintenance of the bridge capacity for the period of ice drift and high water; timely performance of work on the care, maintenance and repair of the elements of the bridge. Technically sound structures and their reliability can be ensured if all the parameters of the road category structure and the requirements of regulatory documents are met. The work presents the survey materials of the bridge. Classification of defects by group and class of danger. The results of determining the carrying capacity on the basis of the survey are given.

Analyzed the results of their own research to assess the impact of the Vyrovsky granite quarry on the state of surface and ground waters within the village of Vyry, Sarny district, Rivne region of Ukraine. Research methods: hydrogeological, sanitary-chemical, analytical. It has been established that the technological process of extracting granite and producing construction crushed stone does not involve the use of a large amount of water. Pit water is used as process water without additional intake of surface or groundwater. The main problems during the exploitation of the car, which are found on the enterprises, are connected with water. The stench is overwhelmed by the surging of ground and surface waters and the need for input for the safety of normal minds of their exploitation. Significant watering of the area's surface is due to the abundance of atmospheric precipitation, relatively flat relief, the presence of a small thickness of sedimentary rocks covering the crystalline massifs. So, the chemical and biological pollution of the river. The extraction by quarry waters does not occur, since the results of laboratory studies of the quarry water did not show its contamination. In general, the Vyrovsky granite quarry does not affect the volume of the river flow. Alignment, for a long time of operation of the Vyrovsky granite quarry, the groundwater levels of the aquifer have already been established and currently remain relatively stable. Further development of the open pit area will not affect the lowering of the groundwater level within the village. Vyry. Decrease in water levels in wells and wells within the village. Vyry in recent years (2015-2020) is associated with climatic changes, which led to a decrease in precipitation, an increase in temperature and evaporation and, as a consequence, a very low water content in rivers practically throughout Ukraine.

St. Petersburg possesses a large number of bridge constructions operated throughout a long time. Mainly these are objects made of reinforced concrete. Among bridges of the city there is a set of unique constructions. Specifics of bridges maintenance in megalopolis environment are characterized by difficult climatic and technogenic conditions. It causes emergence and development of numerous defects and damages in designs. For development of scientifically based techniques of assessment and forecasting of technical condition of the operated bridge constructions (in particular, reinforced concrete) the authentic and urgent analysis of this state is necessary. It is possible to execute it, having formulated the corresponding criteria and methods of assessment, and also having created a certain methodology of the analysis, as it is executed in the present article. Six evaluation criteria on which it is possible to carry out complex diagnostics of bridges of St. Petersburg are designated. Results of the analysis confirm need of special approaches to operation of megalopolises bridges park and also on a large number of constructions with extremely unsatisfactory technical condition.

Large parts of the reindeer hearding area in Sweden were contaminated with radioactive caesium from the Chernobyl fallout. During the first year after the accident no food with activity concentrations exceeding 300 Bq/kg was allowed to be sold in Sweden. This meant that about 75% of all reindeer meat produced in Sweden during the autumn and winter 1986/87 were rejected because of too high caesium activités. In May 1987 the maximum level for Cs-137 in reindeer, game and fresh-water fish was raised to 1500 Bq/kg. During the last two year, 1987/88 and 1988/89, about 25% of the slaughtered reindeer has had activities exceeding this limit. The effective long-time halflife or radiocaesium in reindeer after the nuclear weapon tests in the sixties was about 7 years. If this halflife is correct also for the Chernobyl fallout it will take about 35 years before most of the reinder in Sweden are below the current limit 1500 Bq/kg in the winter. However, by feeding the animals uncontaminated food for about two months, many reindeer can be saved for human consumption.

With the development of computer technology and Internet technology, more and more energy saving monitoring and management platform systems have been established. The energy saving monitoring and management platform has incomparable advantages in automation and real-time performance compared with traditional manual management. After a long time of operation, the energy saving monitoring and management platform has accumulated a lot of data. Due to various reasons, there is a lack of data in the process of collecting energy consumption, which affects the overall operation effect of the system. Based on the operation of an energy saving monitoring and management platform in a university in north China, this paper analyzes the data of building power consumption accumulated in recent years. This paper selects the typical metering branch data, establishes the exponential smoothing model, predicts the daily power consumption and analyzes the prediction results compared with the actual value to verify the effect of the prediction model. At the same time, it also provides a reference for the data prediction of energy conservation supervision platform of other universities.

The railway and mass transportation system is composed of industrial goods with substantial capital investments and long life cycles. This applies to rolling stock like trains, locomotives, wagons, and even more to the infrastructure like signaling, catenary, tracks, bridges, and tunnels. The lifespan of rolling stock is 30 to 40 years while the infrastructure is used 30 to 60 years even more than 100 years in case of tunnels and bridges. As in other industrial goods, the cost drivers are determined in the early design phases but realized mainly during a long time of operation. Maintenance is one of the main cost drivers but essential to a reliable, capable, and – above all – safe operation.

Reinforced Concrete (RC) structures damaged by sudden accidental loads due to earthquake and severe environmental exposure. Traditional strengthening methods are not meeting the service life of the structure for long time. Recently, FRP strengthening is used successfully in all kind of exposure with minimum cost and less duration. In this paper RC beams were strengthened by GFRP sheets in two different orientations. Two specimens are control beams, two specimens are wrapped with U wrapping and the remaining beams are bottom wrapping. The size of the beam is 1700mm long, 150mm  wide and 250mm depth. The test specimens consit of 2 nos of 10mm dia rods as longitudinal reinforcement in compression zone and 2 nos of 10mm dia steel rods in tension zone. 2-legged stirrups of 8mm diameter were used with a centre-to-centre spcaing of 150mm. All beams were tested under four-point loading. Experiments will be undertaken until beams fails so that the influence of GFRP characteristics on the Flexural behaviour of beams which includes Flexural behaviour, Ultimate load carrying capacity, Deformation and Stress-strain behaviour. Evaluation of the results will lead to optimum GFRP jacketing /wrapping arrangements for the concrete beams are considered here.
