The main tools of CAD: the 2D Drawing/Drafting or 3D Parametric Feature Based Solid/Surface Modelling are used for product development. CAD systems increase the quality of drawings and reduce the time for its preparation. In this process, it is very important to use the valid standards for the drawings and technical documentation. Standardization documents describing the rules, regulations and requirements of production methods, concepts, symbols, constructor’s drawings and other documents are very important in all areas of industry.

The main competencies of specialists in the field of knowledge 13 Mechanical engineering appertain the ability to draw up technical documentation, which includes both the design of text documents and drawings of parts, units, assemblies. Over the last decade, there has been a significant update of the standards of both the Unified System of Design Documentation and the Unified System of Technological Documentation. Suitable, according to the principle of education, to ensure the quality of the educational process, the task of implementations modern regulations into the educational process and providing students with practical skills in the design of educational documentation, which is as approximate as possible to the technical future practice. The purpose of the work is to develop proposals for the implementations of relevant regulations in the regulatory and methodological documentation of the educational process to ensure that higher education students acquire practical skills in applying this knowledge in the design of educational documentation with the closest possible approximation to real technical documentation. From the analysis of the requirements of the acting standards that make up the system of design and technological documentation, it follows that their requirements are quite diverse and allow some flexibility of choice, depending on the needs of developers or consumers. Corresponding, according to the provisions of education, the current methodological and regulatory documentation of higher education institutions should provide information to students about the existing system of standards for technical documentation and their practical skills in applying such knowledge. Based on the standards of the Unified System of Technological Documentation and DSTU EN ISO 7200: 2005, proposals have been developed for the design of educational documentation by students of mechanical engineering specialties according to educational and professional programs. The proposals concern the determine of the institution of higher education as the owner of the document, the numbering of documents of the educational process, the designation of sections of the document, page numbering, design of the main inscription of drawings and the title page of text documents. In particular, a numbering system has been developed, which allows to mark the whole set of documents of the educational process of a particular applicant, individual documents by type, separate sections of text documents and drawings. A single form of the main inscription has been developed, which can be used both for text documents and for drawings. The proposed innovations relate mainly to the specialties of mechanical engineering for educational and professional programs. But they can be used, in whole or in part, for other specialties and fields of knowledge.

Abstract Features are meaningful abstractions of geometry that engineers use to reason about components, products, and processes. For design activity, features are design primitives, serve as the basis for product representations, and can incorporate information relevant to life-cycle activities such as manufacturing. Research on feature-based design has matured to the point that results are being incorporated into commercial CAD systems. The intent here is to classify feature-based design literature to provide a solid historical basis for present research and to identify promising research directions that will affect computer-based design tools within the next few years. Applications of feature-based design and technologies of feature representations are reviewed. Open research issues are identified and put in the context of past and current work. Four hypotheses are proposed as challenges for future research: two on the existence of fundamental sub-feature elements and relationships for features, one that presents a new definition of design features, and one that argues for the successful development of concurrent engineering languages. Evidence for these hypotheses is provided from recent research results and from speculation about the future of feature-based design.

Abstract Corporations are spending significant resources to reduce the effect of manufacturing variation on product quality as well as adopt lower cost manufacturing and assembly technologies to reduce the end costs in product development. However, to ensure that these investments have a positive return, efforts must be made to put resources into those areas where there will be the largest return. This paper describes a formalized method to make these decisions. The analysis focuses the tradeoff studies on the Key Characteristics (KCs) of the product. KCs, in use in a variety of industries, are the product features that are most sensitive to existing manufacturing and process variation and will affect the end quality of the product. Two examples from the aircraft manufacturing environment are used describe the application of the proposed methods.

The Titan_Illumina_PE workflow is a part of the Public Health Viral Genomics Titan series for SARS-CoV-2 genomic characterization. Titan_Illumina_PE was written specifically to process Illumina paired-end (PE) read data. Input reads are assumed to be the product of sequencing tiled PCR-amplicons designed for the SARS-CoV-2 genome. The most common read data analyzed by the Titan_Illumina_PE workflow are generated with the ARTIC V3 protocol. However, alternative primer schemes such as the QIAseq Primer Panel are also suitable for this workflow. The primer sequence coordinates of the PCR scheme utilized must be provided in BED format along with the raw Illumina read data. Upon initiating a Titan_Illumina_PE job, the input primer scheme coordinates and raw paired-end Illumina read data provided for each sample will be processed to perform consensus genome assembly, infer the quality of both raw read data and the generated consensus genome, and assign lineage or clade designations as outlined in the Titan_Illumina_PE data workflow diagram below. Additional technical documentation for the Titan_Illumina_PE workflow is available at: https://public-health-viral-genomics-theiagen.readthedocs.io/en/latest/titan_workflows.html#titan-workflows-for-genomic-characterization Required input data for Titan Illumina PE: Illumina paired-end read data (forward and reverse FASTQ files per sample) Primer sequence coordinates of the PCR scheme utilized in BED file format Video Instruction: Theiagen Genomics: Titan Genomic Characterization https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zP9I1r6TNrw Theiagen Genomics: Titan Outputs QC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Amb-8M71umw For technical assistance please contact us at: [email protected]

Introduction. Functional foods help to improve the diet, maintain health, and prolong active longevity. Therefore, food science constantly develops new formulations of functional products. Caramel can hardly be called healthy food as it possesses low nutritional and high energy value. Moreover, caramel contains easily digested sugars but no physiologically functional ingredients, e.g. vitamins, minerals, etc. In order to increase the nutritional value of caramel, we fortified the traditional formulation with ascorbic acid and Valetek-3 vitamin premix. Study objets and methods. The research featured laboratory and pilot samples of caramel. The quality indicators of the finished product were determined according to the industry standards. Results and discussion. The research provided advanced formulations and technology for the development of the new functional caramel fortified with ascorbic acid and a vitamin complex. A set of experiments resulted in a nomenclature of regulated quality indicators and functional properties. The changes in the quality of the caramel during storage made it possible to define the shelf-life of the product. Conclusion. The research defined the optimal formulation for the new kind of functional caramel and determined its quality indicators. The present article introduces a list of quality standards for caramel fortified with vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and Vitalek-3 vitamin premix, as well as the indicators of its functional properties. The research provided the new functional food with the regulatory and technical documentation necessary for its mass production.

Vinegar is a natural product rich in bioactive compounds such as phenols, flavonoids, and organic acids. Several factors affect the quality of vinegars such as apple origin, environmental conditions, production methods, processing, and storage conditions. We investigated the quality of apple vinegars as well as their physicochemical properties and the antioxidant and antibacterial activities of vinegars collected from different areas in Morocco. For physicochemical properties, the outcomes showed the following values: pH (3.18–3.83), electrical conductivity (2.11–2.90), acidity (0.24–5.6), Brix (3.25–6), and density (1.0123–1.0233). The polyphenols content of samples was 68.91 mg AG/100 mL in sample S6 as the minimum value and 147.54 mg AG/100 mL in sample S2 as the maximum value. The best ability to scavenge the DPPH radical was observed in sample S3 (IC50 = 0.45 ± 0.013 µL/mL). Sample S2 showed moderate antibacterial effect against microorganisms tested with MICs ranging from 0.78 µL/mL to 1.125 µL/mL and with a diameter of inhibition ranging from 15.65 mm to 27.65 mm. In addition, a strong correlation was observed between the antibacterial activity of vinegars and physicochemical parameters (pH and total acidity). These outcomes have shown that our vinegar samples are an excellent source of bioactive compounds with potent antioxidant and antibacterial potentials.
