The aim of this study was to determine the effects of innovative and traditional physical education classes on motor abilities of children of younger school age. The sample consisted of 42 students (26 males and 16 females), aged 8 (M = 8.54), second grade of the Elementary School "Laza Kostić" in Kovilj near Novi Sad. The experimental group consisted of 22 students (52.3%) involved in a twelve-week innovative exercise program whose characteristics were changing the content of the class and the fact that it consisted of teaching units that with their form, scope and intensity focus on development of these abilities, while the control group consisted of 20 (47.7%) students who attended traditional physical education classes in accordance with the current curriculum of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia. Motor skills were assessed using six tests (Sprint from a high start at 20 meters - speed; Long jump from the board - explosive power of the lower extremities; Backwards polygon and Skipping and pulling - whole body coordination; Test T for agility and Running 4x10 meters - agility). The results showed that there is a statistically significant effect on all tested variables of motor skills in students who attended innovative classes (Sprint from a high start at 20 meters) (p = .00, ES = -.14); Long jump from the board (p = .,00, ES = .,71); Back polygon (p = .00 ES = -.44); Skipping and dragging (p = .00, ES = -.20); T test for agility (p = .01, ES = -0,22); Running 4x10 meters (p = .00; ES = -.43), while this was not the case with students who attended traditional physical education classes.

The aim of this study was to determine the effects of a sports games experimental program on improving specific motor abilities in adolescents with mental impairment. The study was conducted on a sample of 60 adolescents diagnosed with mild mental impairment, divided into two groups (experimental group EG, and control group CG) with an equal number of participants. The special program of sports games lasted for 12 weeks, with a weekly frequency of four times and a duration of 30 minutes per training. The participants of both groups were tested with the same variables within the specific motor skills for the sport of football and basketball. After a twelve-week experimental program of sports games, there were statistically significant improvements in the EG in the variables: SMFS, SMDR, SMCP with a statistical significance of r=0.000. The results of the ANOVA and MANOVA analyses indicated that after the application of the specific sports games program there was a statistically significant difference in the benefits for the EG compared to the CG, in the parameters of specific motor abilities with a statistical significance r=0.000 and the size of the impact. Based on these research results, it can be concluded that a specific exercise program conducted within twelve-week training of specifically dosed sports activities has significantly contributed the development of specific motor skills for football and basketball.

The aim of this research was the integration of Physical and Musical activities to the development of motor skills of class teaching students. The sample of 64 survey participants consisted of primary school students, aged 9 and 10 (± 6 months) from Niš and divided into two groups - experimental and control group, 32 participants in each group. The participants from the experimental group participated in the additional Physical Education lessons which included coordination and speed exercises, that is, the integrated lessons, while the survey participants from the control group were included only in regular Physical Education lessons, and also in Music Education lessons. The following motor skills were examined: Speed, Agility, Flexing, Explosive strength, Repetitive strength and Segmental speed. The obtained results show that there is a statistically significant difference in 20 meter run with the elongated start (M20VS .000), 30 meter run with the elongated start (M30VS .000), figure-of-eight agility run test (MKOT .000), side steps (MKUS .000), standing forward bend (MDPK .000), split (MŠPA .000), standing long jump (MSDM .000), standing triple jump (MTRS .000), foot tapping (MTAN .005) and hand tapping (MTAP .001). Given the results obtained, the design of a special program that would include the integration of the content of these subject areas would contribute to the development of elementary physical and musical skills.

The development of humanity is directed towards general progress, but one of the negative consequences of that progress is that children are increasingly living a sedentary lifestyle, that they are increasingly becoming obese, and that they adopt bad behavioral patterns. One of the ways to encourage students to engage in a regular physical activity is to present it to them in an interesting way, with adequate methods, tools and content. The goal of this research is to determine the effects of the program of calisthenic exercises on the motor abilities of elementary school children. The research is an experimental study with parallel groups of 50 students from two fifth-grade classes. After an experimental program that lasted 10 weeks during regular physical education classes, it was determined that the boys in the experimental group achieved better results than the boys in the control group on three of the eight motor tests, while no statistically significant differences were found in girls. However, in the girls of the experimental group, progress in motor abilities was determined between the initial and final measurement, while in the girls of the control group this was not the case. The applied program of calisthenic exercises can lead to positive transformations of motor abilities, and the recommendation for future research is to enrich the content with the use of various props and music, which would probably lead to a greater engagement of girls and boys during exercise.

The aim of the research is to determine the effects of the arthistic gymnastics program on the Physical fitness of adolescents. The sample of participants consisted of 28 participants, males, aged 14 years ± 6 months, seventh grade of "Bubanjski Heroji" elementary school in Niš. The sample was divided into two subgroups. The experimental group (EG) consisted of 14 participants who, during the experimental period, realized the program of artistic gymnastics during the main phase of a physical education class, ten weeks in two classes of 45 minutes. The control group (CG) consisted of 14 participants who during the experimental period realized the program contents of regular physical education in the main phase of physical education. The sample of motorized measuring instruments consisted of three variables of explosive power (standing long jump, triple jump off the site and vertical jump) and three variants of sprint run (20m flat out with a flying start flat out with a flying start, 30m flat out with a flying start flat out with a flying start and 50m flat out with a flying start flat out with a flying start). The program "Statistica" 8.0 for Windows was used, for calculation of basic statistics, canonical discriminatory analysis and multivariate analysis of covariates. The results of the study showed that there are statistically significant effects of the use of the artistic gymnastics exercises in the main part of the physical education course on the Physical fitness of the adolescent of the EG at the end of the experimental period.

The objective of this research was to analyze whether flexibility training can improve agility, speed, and power performance, during physical education classes or not. This is a quantitative, descriptive and field research, with 5th grade students duly enrolled at Prof.ª Hilda Romazini Melo School, União da Vitória- PR, in the year 2018. In order to perform the study, the students were divided into two different samples, sample A for the experimental group, which did flexibility training for 8 weeks, and sample B, control group, both of them did the pre and post test of the physical capacities. In order to collect data, pre and post-tests were performed for each physical capacities analyzed: square agility test, to measure agility, Wells Bank to measure flexibility, 20-meter test to measure speed and Long Jump test to check power. Furthermore, it was observed that the training improved besides the flexibility, the power of the students in 100%. Nevertheless, it was possible to realize that the training helped the students to keep the speed and it is not possible to say whether the training benefits the agility of students or not. Thus, the research leaves the suggestion of giving sequence to its elaboration, since this subject, has extreme relevance and should gain prominence in Physical Education and related areas.

One of the most important tasks solved in physical education classes is preparing for life. An indispensable means of teaching vital motor skills and abilities are applied exercises that are taken from life and prepare for life. Such vital movements as climbing, climbing, running, jumping, overcoming obstacles, throwing, swimming and many other exercises also contribute to the development of the motor abilities of those involved. The aim of the research was to experimentally study the effect of cross-country classes on the physical fitness of high school students. Based on the conducted research it can be formulated that the use of cross-country training in the process of physical education of high school students contributes to the development of coordination, speed-strength abilities, as well as endurance.

Introduction: The whole-body vibration (WBV) approachis considered to be a unique training method for physicalrehabilitation, injury preventions, and improving physicalperformance in athlete. The scientific literature about WBV iswell documented and presents different vibration protocols,different measurements and, as a consequence - differentresults. Objectives: To explore the effect of a strengtheningprogram with WBV on several muscular strength variablesamong physical education students in comparison to a controlpassive group of students. Methods: Thirty-eight healthymale physical education students were randomly allocatedinto Vibration Group (VG, n=13) - who underwent strengtheningprogram with WBV and external load, and Control Group(CG, n=25), that received no treatment. The study includedpre-test assessments, 4-week intervention phase and post-testassessments. During the intervention phase VG performedthree training sessions per week that included six sets of 30sec squats with external loads on a WBV platform. Assessmentsincluded maximal muscle strength, power, reactivestrength and endurance. Results: Significant improvementswere shown in all components among the VG from pre topost-tests (p<0.001), with no significant change among theCG. Conclusions: A 4-week strengthening program with WBVand medium external load improves different components ofstrength among healthy physical education students.

The research was conducted on a sample of 70 respondents-swimmers aged 13-15 years of swimming clubs from Sarajevo Canton/Federation of BiH, with the aim of determining the significance and magnitude of the impact of selected basic motor skills on the implementation of specific motor tasks in swimming (navigability in place, sliding length with reflection from water, start from starting block, parallel). The study used 10 variables to assess basic motor skills, which were the input or predictor set of variables, and three variables to assess the efficiency of specific motor tasks in swimming as a criterion, each variable from the battery of specific motor tasks was considered as a criterion on the predictor set of basic-motor variables. Three mini regression analyzes were applied to determine the statistical significance and relative influence of basic motor skills on the realization of specific motor tasks in swimming (buoyancy in place, length of sliding with reflection from water, start from the starting block, parallel). The results of regression analyzes indicate that the greatest influence on the overall efficiency in the implementation of specific motor tests in swimming, looking at all criterion variables together, from the set of basic-motor variables, as a predictor set, show the following variables: stick twist-MFLISK MFLPRK, plantar flexion-MFLPL, long jump from place-MFESDM, agility on the ground-MKOKNT and shelter in lying-MRCZTL. The results obtained in this research can be useful for teachers and swimming trainers who work with younger age categories for the purpose of better programming of training work and selection of training content.

The aim of this study is to contribute expansion of knowledge about the level of the performance and health oriented fitness at represented students of Physiotherapy on Faculty of Health Studies Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. We compare resulting values with the values that were obtained by general population and students of Physical education and sports. Students participated these tests: progressive run for 20 meters, 2 kg heavy ball throw with both hands, standing long jump with both legs together, flexed – arm hang forward grip for woman, sit-up test 1 minute, deep bend in sitting position, Iowa Brace and calculated Body mass index (BMI). We asked two questions for our study. First, what is the level of motor skills students of Physiotherapy so academic students, what is the difference of level of motor skills between students of Physiotherapy compared with general population and second, what is the difference of the level of motor skills between students of Physiotherapy and students of Physical education and sports. Results showed that students of Physiotherapy had the same level of motor skills such as general population. Students of Physiotherapy had the same level in only two tests – deep bend in sitting position – flexibility and flexed-arm hang forward grip for woman with students of Physical education and sports.
