Motivation and work motivation are multidisciplinary topics important for the successful functioning of modern organizations. Opportunities to improve the effects and performance of all types of organizations by influencing employee motivation have resulted in a number of studies aimed at identifying motivational factors, their impact and hierarchy. Work motivational factors are numerous, and their impact and hierarchy are changeable and depend on socio-economic conditions, cultural determinants, as well as the individual characteristics of employees. In order to improve the motivation for work, there is a need to identify factors and their impact on the motivation and effects of the work of the Serbian Armed Forces professional members in their own cultural environment and the current set of socio-economic conditions. The objective of this paper is to develop a model for identifying motivational factors of the Serbian Armed Forces professional members and determine their impact and hierarchy. The paper will use the method of document content analysis in order to identify a list of motivational factors that will then be confirmed or rejected, depending on the results of research conducted using the research method, survey technique and statistical method. The paper presents a model for identifying work motivational factors and the results of a survey of the attitudes of a quota sample of 1401 Serbian Armed Forces professional members. The hierarchy of factors is presented and it has been concluded that good interpersonal relationships and salary amount have the most significant impact on the motivation for work of the Serbian Armed Forces professional members. The results of the research can be used for improving the motivation for work, normative acts, organizational structure and instruments for future research.

Este proyecto investigativo se realizó con el fin de analizar el arquetipo predominante en los estudiantes de Octavo y noveno semestre de la Escuela de Marketing de la Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo, mediante este análisis se identificó el modelo de comunicación que tienen cada uno de los estudiantes con su modelo del mundo característico, los arquetipos aunque no muy populares en un analisis de comportamiento son una herramienta indispensable para la definir la personalidad de los individuos en un contexto determinado y su desenvolvimiento en la sociedad de acuerdo a sus códigos emocionales. El presente estudio busca determinar los arquetipos en los estudiantes de marketing. Se realizaron 41 test con preguntas específicas en temas de aprendizaje, comunicación, relaciones interpersonales, modo de trabajo, flexibilidad mental, entre otros. Se presentó mucho interés en los estudiantes para realizar la entrevista y para identificar algunas características que se encuentran en su inconsciente colectivo. Los principales resultados de la investigación muestran el arquetipo predominante en los estudiantes de la Escuela de Ingeniería en Marketing de la ESPOCH con relación a sus códigos emocionales, que enfoca las características individuales de las personas y sus emociones privadas contenidas. This research project was carried out with the purpose of analyzing the predominant archetype in the students of Eighth and Ninth Semester of the School of Marketing of the Polytechnical Superior School of Chimborazo, through this analysis the model of communication that each one of the students has identified was identified With its characteristic world model, the archetypes, although not very popular in a behavior analysis, are an indispensable tool for defining the personality of individuals in a given context and their development in society according to their emotional codes. The present study seeks to determine the archetypes in marketing students. 42 tests were conducted with specific questions on topics of learning, communication, interpersonal relationships, work mode, mental flexibility, among others. There was a lot of interest in the students to conduct the interview and to identify some characteristics that are found in their collective unconscious. The main results of the research show the predominant archetype in the students of the School of Engineering in Marketing of the ESPOCH in relation to their emotional codes, which focuses on the individual characteristics of the people and their contained private emotions. The presented paper gives an overview of the most important and most common theories and concepts from the economic field of organisational change and is also enriched with quantitative publication data, which underlines the relevance of the topic. In particular, the topic presented is interwoven in an interdisciplinary way with economic psychological models, which are underpinned within the models with content from leading scholars in the field. The pace of change in companies is accelerating, as is technological change in our society. Adaptations of the corporate structure, but also of management techniques and tasks, are therefore indispensable. This includes not only the right approaches to employee motivation, but also the correct use of intrinsic and extrinsic motivational factors. Based on the hypothesis put forward by the scientist and researcher Rollinson in his book “Organisational behaviour and analysis” that managers believe motivational resources are available at all times, socio-economic and economic psychological theories are contrasted here in order to critically examine this statement. In addition, a fictitious company was created as a model for this work in order to illustrate the effects of motivational deficits in practice. In this context, the theories presented are applied to concrete problems within the model and conclusions are drawn about their influence and applicability. This led to the conclusion that motivation is a very individual challenge for each employee, which requires adapted and personalised approaches. On the other hand, the recommendations for action for supervisors in the case of motivation deficits also cannot be answered in a blanket manner, but can only be solved with the help of professional, expert-supported processing due to the economic-psychological realities of motivation. Identifying, analysing and remedying individual employee motivation deficits is, according to the authors, a problem and a challenge of great importance, especially in the context of rapidly changing ecosystems in modern companies, as motivation also influences other factors such as individual productivity. The authors therefore conclude that good motivation through the individual and customised promotion and further training of employees is an important point for achieving important corporate goals in order to remain competitive on the one hand and to create a productive and pleasant working environment on the other.

Disasters pose a significant threat to the long-term well-being of individuals, communities and societies. Therefore, studying resilience, defined as the process of maintaining and recovering psychological well-being after adversity, is crucial for disaster preparedness and mitigation. The aims of this paper are to summarize the historical context of resilience research, present the key concepts, discuss current measurement approaches and propose future research directions. Key determinants of resilience - risk, positive adaptation and resources - are discussed with the focus on studies of adults affected by disasters. This narrative review demonstrates that research up to date has focused mostly on finding the individual characteristics that predict the absence of psychopathology or mental health disorder symptoms, while other types of resources or dynamic relations between key aspects of resilience have been neglected. Future studies should aim to include multiple measurement points, high- and low-risk groups, long-term follow-up and broader perspectives on both psychological well-being and potential resources.

Purpose This paper aims to addresses an important gap in anthropomorphism research by examining the individual-level factors that correlate with anthropomorphic tendency. Design/methodology/approach The extant psychology, marketing and consumer psychology literature is reviewed, and eight hypotheses devised. Data from 509 online survey respondents are analysed to identify individual characteristics associated with anthropomorphic tendency. Findings The results reveal that anthropomorphic tendency varies by individual and is significantly related to personality, age, relationship status, personal connection to animals and experiential thinking. Research limitations/implications This paper extends on recent research into the individual nature of anthropomorphic tendency, once thought to be a universal trait. Given that this paper is the first of its kind, testing of further traits is merited. It is suggested that future research further examine personality, as well as other elements of individual difference, and test the role of anthropomorphic tendency in the development of processing abilities with age. Practical implications Findings show that anthropomorphic tendency may prove to be a key variable in the segmentation of markets and the design of marketing communications, and that younger, single, more creative, conscientious consumers are an appropriate target for anthropomorphic messages. The importance of personal connection to animals, as well as experiential thinking, is also highlighted. Originality/value Given the importance of anthropomorphic tendency for the processing of messages involving non-human endorsers, as well as the formation of relevant attitudes and behaviours, this paper fulfils an identified need to further understand the characteristics of those high on this tendency.

The research aims to find out how the characteristics of individual to motivation in jambi province health service is partially over the period 2013-2017. The object of this analysis of health services the province of Jambi. The sample used in this study is as much as 79 (seventy-nine) employees of the health services the province of Jambi. Jambi Province health service is one of the agencies that play a role in implementing health development. Health services have the task of carrying out some local Government Affairs based on the principle of autonomy in health development in jambi province. The method used is descriptive quantitative methods with the individual characteristics of the independent variable, while the dependent variable is the motivation. Analysis tools used are simple linear regression, t-test, the coefficient of determination. Based on the results of the regression analysis abowed that the regression equation Y = 1.648 + 0.506 + e, with R2 0.388. This means that the characteristics of the individual employee motivation significantly to influential on health service Office of the province of jambi, with value of  6.992 and significant levels 0.000. In this study, the author gives advice to the Office, that Office should health services strengthening employee motivation Jambi province so that raises a better employee performance again.

The research aims to study the students' personal total quality at universities in Medan, Indonesia. The research method is a survey at four universities in Medan namely the State University of Medan, North Sumatra Muhammadiyah University, HKBP Nommensen, and the Islamic University of North Sumatra. The respondents amounted to 380 students who have been determined proportionally through random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.82. Results of the study found that 31.05% variable quality of students belong to the category of the personal total which is very high and 67.37% belong to a high category. However, there is 1:58% total quality of students classified categorized as low. The results were found to give instructions to the universities to keep working to improve students' personal total quality as the individual characteristics. The individual characteristics of students are very important to note the whether the increase due to the individual characteristics affects work motivation, performance, career development, and job satisfaction.

Introduction: Interpersonal Nurses Communication (IPC) in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is known to be important due to the critical situation of patients and the nurses’ experience with moral distress. Nurses interpersonal relationships and ways of resolving conflicts are influenced by the culture of this sector. Aim: To specify the culture of IPC among nurses in ICU. Materials and Methods: This was a qualitative multi-site ethnographic study conducted from May 2017 to September 2019 at Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences. Data were collected through participatory observation and formal and informal semi-structured interviews. The study environment included four ICUs in two hospitals. Data were obtained from an uninterrupted observation for five months, intermittent observation for six months, 15 formal interviews and 31 informal interviews. The process stems from the research evolutionary cycle model and Spradley’s Steps. In order to discover the meaning of the patterns from the obtained themes, the findings were interpreted after analysis. In this study, Spradley method was used to analyse the data. Results: In this study, 66.7% of the nurses were female, the mean age was 38.66±9.1 years, and mean work experience was 14.43±8.4 years. The three main themes of the high-level code consensus emerged as follows: Grouping which included the formation of groups, cooperation and competition between groups, and demarcation and characteristics of groups. The governing organisational relationships include managerial strategies and nature of the wards. And the individual characteristics that included top-down look, work discipline and experience. Conclusion: The IPC among the ICU nurses is a dynamic and inevitable process and influenced by factors such as nurses’ membership in the groups established in the ICU, nurses’ cooperation, management strategies, physical and emotional nature of critical care units, work experience and former communications, discipline, and features such as a top-down attitude.

Rather than the view of the entrepreneur as a ‘lone ranger’, recent work has focused on the importance of teams in bringing a start-up to growth and success. Here, we aim to bridge the gap between the individual characteristics of entrepreneurs and the characteristics of their teams by examining openness of founders in relation to creative team environment (CTE), innovative work behaviour (IWB) and performance. On the basis of upper echelon theory and integrating other complementary theories such as the attention-based view, we develop a theoretical framework and test this using a survey of 322 high-tech entrepreneurs. Our findings suggest a mediating role of CTE and IWB in the relation between openness of entrepreneurs and performance. The implications of the results for managerial practices and future research directions are discussed.

Taking into account the uneven settlement of the population of the Russian Federation, as well as with the aim of adapting the medical sphere to modern economic conditions in the context of the new economic mechanism, the reform of the health care system was started in the late 1990s. As a result of the reorganization of the primary care, a new specialty appeared, i.e. general practitioners, who replaced therapists and pediatricians. For many years, the principle of treatment of the disease was dominant in the Russian health care, without taking into account the individual characteristics of a patient; the introduced reform was aimed at ensuring that the doctor would advise a particular patient for all his/her life, know the characteristics of the organism, and understand the etiopathogenesis of the development of a particular disease. In February 2006, at the second World Patient Congress held in Spain by the International Alliance of Patient Organizations (IAPO), the Declaration on Patient-Centred Healthcare was adopted. It is an alternative program, aimed primarily not at treatment, but at the prevention of diseases, health promotion and the formation of general well-being, based on modern technologies and an individual approach to each patient.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to explore how career identity informs employees’ willingness to engage in organizational change initiatives. Design/methodology/approach – The paper draws on the findings of a qualitative case study exploring the experiences of 29 employees involved in a planned “bottom-up” organizational change initiative. At the time of the study, all interviewees were employed in a Dutch non-profit organization. Findings – Drawing on protean career theory and the literature on other-oriented work values, we show that career identity informs both how employees make sense of the respective organizational change and their willingness to engage in it. The authors found that proactive career behavior and a focus on other-oriented work values inform higher levels of employees’ engagement in the change, while passive career behavior and self-centered work values inform employees’ lower levels of involvement in the change initiative. Based on the findings, the authors conclude this paper with a conceptual model which captures the cyclical relationship between career identity and employees’ willingness to engage in organizational change initiatives. Research limitations/implications – Future research should consider both the individual characteristics of employees involved in change initiatives and content or contextual factors when exploring willingness to engage with change. Practical implications – Organizational change consultants and managers need to be aware of the influence of career identity on employees’ willingness to engage in organizational change and use this information during the implementation of change initiatives. Originality/value – The paper explores employees’ willingness to engage with organizational change initiatives through the lens of career identity.
