Introduction The paper Cullen chart has been a validated adjunct to perimeters in detecting scotomas for various neuro-ophthalmological pathologies for decades. It was digitized into a prototype-app to empower future users to conduct remote monitoring of visual fields. This project aimed to refine the apps' usability for future users to self-assess and monitor their visual fields by exploring the difficulties faced using the app, to gather feedback, and subsequently to improve its usability for future iterations to objectively compare iterations using the MAUQ scores. Methods Participants (n = 15; age: 24-58) recruited through convenience sampling underwent mixed (quantitative and qualitative) methods to measure 1. Participants' adherence to the app instruction through observation, 2. objective experiences of using the app through self-reporting using the mHealth App Usability Questionnaire (MAUQ), and 3. Subjective experience of app using through semi-structured interviews. Descriptive analysis was computed for observation and MAUQ data. Thematic analysis was adopted to analyse the semi-structured interview data. Results 1/15 adhered to 3 written instructions and 8/15 participants had awkward hand movements. The MAUQ median score was 123/147, the MAUQ domain mean scores - ease of use and satisfaction, system information arrangement and usefulness were 81.6%(45.7/56), 80.6%(33.9/42) and 80.2%(39.3/49), respectively. Questions 4, 5, 9, 11 and 19 were the 5 lowest-scoring questions. Qualitative data were categorised into instructions, test, and feedback which had codes and subcodes. Conclusion Feedback for improvements were surrounding central fixation, remembering peripheral stimuli, uncover eye when interacting with peripheral stimuli, video examples, an introduction to the app and audio instructions.

Introduction Facilitating function through occupation and purposeful activity is the basic tenet of occupational therapy. However, the majority of research in hand rehabilitation clinics continues to focus on biomechanical interventions. The purpose of this research was to study practice patterns and personal opinions of occupational therapy practitioners before and after providing purposeful activity kits to an outpatient occupational therapy hand clinic. Methods Mixed-method design to evaluate an 8-week intervention of providing purposeful activity kits to a busy, military outpatient hand clinic. A paper survey was administered to nine occupational therapy practitioners before and after the intervention. Qualitative data were gathered through semi-structured interviews. Results A descriptive analysis indicated an increase in the use of activities, crafts, and occupation after the introduction of the purposeful activity kits. Practitioners consistently reported time as the top factor in their inability to incorporate more purposeful activities. Qualitative results support use of the new activities during both intervention and evaluation due to the focus on function and ease of use of the kits. Conclusion Purposeful activities can enhance any rehabilitation clinic in an organized, cost-effective manner. Practitioners responded positively toward the added equipment; however, it will take time and effort to adjust the theoretical decision making of practitioners. Additional participants and length of intervention is needed.

The fungi kingdom is among the important topics of biology, and students can develop misunderstandings and misconceptions about this subject.This study aims to determinemisunderstandings and misconceptions of 5th-grade students about fungi. The participants of the study consisted of 22 (12 girls, 10 boys) fifth graders of an elementary school in Erzurum city center, which was determined by the convenience sampling method. In this qualitative study, a 'semi-structured interview form' was used. The form includes 16 open-ended questions prepared following the learning outcomes of the curriculum. The data collected in the study were subjected to descriptive analysis and the findings were presented by calculating the frequency and % values. The findings indicate that the students have misunderstandings and misconceptions on the structure of mold, yeast, and fungi, their feeding, whether they are alive, their classification, reproduction, living conditions, etc.At the end of the study, some suggestions were made on the teaching of the biology concepts with examples from daily life, usage of visual elements during teaching, more laboratory applications. It is also suggested that similar studies should be implemented with different grade levels and sample groups.

This study aims to investigate what preservice teachers’ goal orientations are in the learning environment through the card-sorting activity. Moreover, this study aims to examine preservice teachers’ goal orientations in terms of certain variables such as gender, class level and department type. Participants consisted of preservice teachers attending different departments at Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University in Turkey. In this research, the card-sorting activity and a semi-structured interview form were used as data collection tools. As suggested by Friedrichsen and Dana (2003; 2005) in the literature, to identify preservice teachers’ goal orientations for learning, a card-sorting activity consisting of scenarios was prepared and used by the researchers. In the card-sorting activity, goal orientation scenarios were formed according to Elliot and McGroger’s (2001) 2x2 goal orientations structures. Scenarios and the semi-structured interview form which were used in this research were formed upon consulting specialists. This study was designed in the case study approach of the qualitative research methodology. Finally, the data collected were analyzed by the descriptive analysis technique. The results indicated that preservice teachers associated themselves with the learning approach goal orientation the most and the performance avoidance goal orientation the least. This research paper aimed to investigate Libyan learners’ attitudes towards pair work activity in their learning process. Furthermore, this research established the reasons for their attitudes, how this activity affects their learning process, and how Libyan learners can be encouraged to participate in this activity. Mixed approaches of quantitative and qualitative methods were used for data collection, by means of a questionnaire and a semi-structured interview. The questionnaire was distributed online to 59 Libyan learners, In addition, semi-structured interviews were conducted with four Libyan learners to discuss their attitudes in more detail. The study explores both gender, among participants the majority were male Libyan learners (61%) than female Libyan learners (39%). The Most of them were in the 25-34 years old (72.9%) and (62.7%) have been studying English for more than one year. Based on the findings of the current research, it could be said that 79.3% of students found pair work positive / very positive while less than 7% of learners found pair work very negative / negative. Eventually, The findings showed that most of learners acknowledged that participating in pair work is very useful, the analyzed date illustrates that 74.5% of students found pair work helpful / very helpful; while 79.3% found pair work positive / very positive. In addition, the attitudes of male and female learners are similar. This statement was highlighted by both males and females participants of the study. Also the four interviewees stressed that pair work helped them to improve their speaking skills and facilitated their communication.

Abstract Introduction A validated visual field chart designed as a simpler adjunct to formal perimeters is being developed into an app. The app aims to empower patients with pituitary tumours to independently assess their central 25˚ visual field with intra-app instructions and share their results with their clinician. NHSx marked usability as an assessment criterion for validating health apps. This study aims to explore and improve the usability of the beta-version of the app. Method Qualitative methods were employed through observation and semi-structured interviews. Recruitment was through convenience sampling. Participants experienced the app solely based on the intra-app information. Meanwhile, a researcher observed the process. Then, qualitative feedback was generated through semi-structured interviews. Observational data was coded and quantified. Thematic analysis was employed to identify common themes and/or categories of the qualitative feedback. Results 15 participants between 24-58(mean 33.7, SD 10.8) years were recruited. Observational data revealed that 1/15 adhered to all 3 written instructions; 3/15 utilised the hand span distance guidance provided. Participants’ responses on feedback for improvements were coded and categorised. Suggested additional features for improvement – a run-through introduction to the app, a video example of how to conduct the test, a practice run, an option for audio instruction and an option to change font size and type. Suggested additional instructions were to focus on the black dot and remember what you were seeing with the red dots. Conclusions Qualitative methods identified aspects of the app requiring improvements. Participants feedback will be utilised to improve the app.

The objective of this research was to examine the effect of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, speed, security and privacy and readiness technology tax payers information to e-Filing usage. The object of this study is the individual tax payers in Tangerang City, Karawaci District. The selection of the sample is determined based on convenience sampling method. Data used in this study was primary data, id est: questionnaires. The respondent in this study were 110. Data analysis technique in this study using multiple linear regression. The result of this study were (1) perceived usefulness have a significant impact towards e-Filing usage; (2) perceived ease of use have a significant impact towards e-Filing usage; (3) speed does not have a significant impact towards e-Filing usage; (4) security and privacy does not have a significant impact towards e-Filing usage; (5) readiness technology tax payers information does not have a significant impact towards e-Filing usage; (6) perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, speed, security and privacy and readiness technology tax payers information all simultaneously, have a significant impact towards e-Filing usage. RESUMOObjetivo: o presente trabalho teve como objetivo identificar os significados de morte emergentes das equipes de enfermagem que atuam nas unidades de Pronto Socorro e Unidade de Terapia Intensiva (UTI) em uma entidade de médio porte situada no Sul de Minas Gerais. Materiais e métodos: estudo de abordagem qualitativa, do tipo descritivo, de campo e transversal. A amostra estudada foi composta de oito enfermeiros, 22 técnicos e quatro auxiliares de enfermagem, totalizando 34 profissionais, sendo utilizado o instrumento de caracterização pessoal e profissional da equipe de enfermagem e o roteiro de entrevista semiestruturada. A amostragem foi proposital. A coleta de dados foi realizada através de entrevista semiestruturada, gravada e transcrita. As diretrizes metodológicas do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo foram utilizadas para a seleção das ideias centrais e expressões-chave correspondentes, a partir das quais foram extraídos os discursos dos sujeitos, no cenário da instituição hospitalar. Resultados e Discussão: ao analisar o tema “significados de morte”, obtiveram-se as seguintes ideias centrais: “passagem”, “diversos significados”, “fim da vida” e “fim e começo de outra vida”. Conclusão: As concepções acerca do tema morte para os profissionais participantes deste trabalho reforça a necessidade de estudos sobre o tema durante a formação acadêmica. Certos de que irão vivenciar este tipo de situação no dia-a-dia profissional, é preciso prepará-los psicologicamente para isso.Palavras-chave: Morte, Equipe de enfermagem, Assistência ao paciente.ABSTRACTObjective: This study aimed to identify the meanings of emerging death of the nursing staff working in the Emergency Units and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a medium-sized entity located in southern Minas Gerais. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional qualitative field research. The sample was composed of 8 nurses, 22 technicians and 4 nursing assistants, totaling 34 professionals. It was used a tool of personal and professional characterization of the nursing team and a semi-structured interview. Sampling was intentional. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews, that were recorded and transcribed. The methodological guidelines of the Collective Subject Speech were used for the selection of the central ideas and corresponding key expressions, from which the speeches of the subjects were taken, in the hospital setting. Results and discussion: to examine the topic "death meanings" yielded the following core ideas: "pass", "different meanings", "end of life" and "end and beginning of another life." Conclusion: The conceptions about the death theme for the professional participants of this study reinforces the need for studies on the subject during their academic training. It is certain that they will experience this type of situation on their daily professional routine, therefore there is a need to prepare them psychologically for this.Keywords: Death, Nursing staff, Patient care.

ABSTRAK The purpose of this research is to explain the effect of Internal Factors toward student interest in entrepreneurship on Economics and Business Faculty of Jambi University. Sampling techniques used on is Non-Probability Sampling with Convenience Sampling Method. The number of respondents is 100 consumers. Technique analysis for this research use descriptive analysis to describe the research variables and multiple regression analysis to find the effect between research variables using SPSS 20.0. Abstract Background Primary care physicians are at the very heart of managing patients suffering from multimorbidity. However, several studies have highlighted that some physicians feel ill-equipped to manage these kinds of complex clinical situations. Few studies are available on the clinical reasoning processes at play during the long-term management and follow-up of patients suffering from multimorbidity. This study aims to contribute to a better understanding on how the clinical reasoning of primary care physicians is affected during follow-up consultations with these patients. Methods A qualitative research project based on semi-structured interviews with primary care physicians in an ambulatory setting will be carried out, using the video stimulated recall interview method. Participants will be filmed in their work environment during a standard consultation with a patient suffering from multimorbidity using a “button camera” (small camera) which will be pinned to their white coat. The recording will be used in a following semi-structured interview with physicians and the research team to instigate a stimulated recall. Stimulated recall is a research method that allows the investigation of cognitive processes by inviting participants to recall their concurrent thinking during an event when prompted by a video sequence recall. During this interview, participants will be prompted by different video sequence and asked to discuss them; the aim will be to encourage them to make their clinical reasoning processes explicit. Fifteen to twenty interviews are planned to reach data saturation. The interviews will be transcribed verbatim and data will be analysed according to a standard content analysis, using deductive and inductive approaches. Conclusion Study results will contribute to the scientific community’s overall understanding of clinical reasoning. This will subsequently allow future generation of primary care physicians to have access to more adequate trainings to manage patients suffering from multimorbidity in their practice. As a result, this will improve the quality of the patient’s care and treatments.

Abstract Background The transition from upper secondary to higher education and from higher education to professional practice requires that students adapt to new literacy practices, academic and professional. However, there is a gap of knowledge regarding literacy practices in dental education. Therefore, the aim of this study was to identify what characterizes dental students’ notetaking and secondarily to determine what dental students express regarding their notetaking. Methods To analyze students’ perspectives about the purposes of notetaking and to examine their written notes in depth, three volunteer students, out of the 24 students that voluntarily and anonymously handed in their notes, were interviewed. The three undergraduate dental students that participated in this material-based, semi-structured interview study, framed within a New Literacy Studies approach, were on their third year (6th semester). The focus of these material-based interviews was on each student’s notes. Questions prepared for semi-structured interviews were open-ended and allowed for individual follow-up questions related to the interviewee’s answer. To analyze the outcome of the interviews a thematic analysis was used. Results From the material-based interviews eight themes that relate to what, how and for what purpose students write were discerned. These eight themes include professional vocabulary, core content as well as clinical examples that belong to what students read and write; multimodal accentuation as well as synthesis that belong to how students read and write; and mnemonic strategies, academic purposes, and professional purposes that belong to for what purpose students read and write. Conclusions Findings from the interviews indicate that the digital development, offering a variety of available tools, has expanded the notion of notetaking. This study identified that dental students’ notetaking has changed during their education from initially being synchronous, to also include multimodal and asynchronous writing, making notetaking more of a writing practice. Further, students’ writing practices seem to be motivated by their knowledge formation in relation to a subject matter, but also in relation to their experiences during clinical training. Although, our hypothesis was that the main purpose of notetaking and writing was to pass their course examinations, this study showed that students that were half-way through their dental education, are aware that literacy practices are for learning for their future profession, and not only for passing their exams.
