This paper examines the effectiveness of videos as a teaching medium in a pre-intermediate grammar class in Tangerang, Indonesia. This research adopted a quasi-experimental approach with a posttest control group design. Two pre-secondary classes in Tangerang were selected as subjects of the study. Data were obtained from the pretest and posttest, a questionnaire on student perception of video usage in teaching, and interviews. The experimental class was taught using a video while the control class was taught via textbooks. A pretest and a posttest were given to the experimental class. The improvement in scores was then examined using t-test. To compare the learning results of the two groups, a final posttest was conducted on both classes after the lessons. The scores were then examined using the Mann–Whitney test. Results indicated that students who learned from the video achieved higher scores than those who learned from textbooks. The learning-style questionnaire results revealed that learning with videos was enjoyable. Therefore, this medium is highly recommended as a crucial grammar-teaching tool in the classroom.

This research is motivated by the lack of mastery of Grammar in students. This is because the practice in the learning process is still not varied, one example of an exercise that can be used is Kahoot. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of Kahoot on the teaching of Grammar students in the second year of the SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. This research uses a quantitative with quasi-experimental methods “pre-test and post-test control group design”. The population in this study were second year students of SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP who were registered in the June-December period of the 2019/2020 school year. The research sample was 20 students of class XI IBB as the experimental class and 22 students of class XI MIPA 1 as the control class. The data of this study are the scores of the final test results of Grammar teaching without and using Kahoot second year students of SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. The test scores were compared using the t-test formula to determine the effectiveness of using Kahoot in Grammar teaching. Based on the results of the t-test, it was concluded that learning using Kahoot was effective in the teaching of Grammar in the second year students of SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP because tcount> ttable (4.75> 1.68) at a significant level of 0.05. So, it was concluded that the teaching of Grammar in the second year students of SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP by using Kahoot was better than without using Kahoot.

This meta-analysis is the first to provide a quantitative synthesis of empirical evaluations of mathematical intervention programs implemented in secondary schools for students with learning disabilities and mathematics difficulties. Included studies used a treatment-control group design. A total of 19 experimental and quasi-experimental studies containing 20 independent samples met study inclusion criteria. Results of a random effects model analysis indicated that mathematical interventions influence mathematics outcomes ( g = 0.37, 95% confidence interval [0.18, 0.56]) for students with learning disabilities and mathematics difficulties. In addition, instructional time moderated the relation between mathematics interventions and student learning. Limitations of the study, future directions for research, and implications for practice are discussed.

Background: Today, couples applying for divorce need more self-efficacy in their divorce management. Self-efficacy in divorce management helps divorcing couples make the right decision to continue their married life or leave. The present study aimed to determine the effect of divorce counseling based on Gottman's approach on self-efficacy in divorce management within couples who applied for divorce in Yazd. Methods: This quasi-experimental study was based on pre-test, post-test, and follow-up method in which the case-control group design was applied. The study population included all couples who applied for divorce in Yazd in 2017. We selected 32 participants using purposive sampling, who were then divided into experimental and control groups. In order to collect the study data, we used Zareei's self-efficacy questionnaire in divorce management. To analyze the data, we run multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA), two-way analysis of variance, and repeated measurement tests. Results: The results of MANOVA analysis indicated that the experimental group used self-efficacy more frequently than the control group in divorce management and its subscales. Moreover, analysis of two-way variance showed that gender did not have a significant correlation with the training results. In other words, the effect of education was the same for both genders. Moreover, the results of repeated measurement analysis indicated significant differences between the levels (pre test with post test and follow up). Conclusion: Gottman-based divorce counseling affected self-efficacy in divorce management of couples applying for divorce in Yazd. The effectiveness of this training was the same for both males and females. As a result, for those couples who want to divorce, such training seems to be extremely necessary.   Keywords: Divorce Counseling, Tendency to Divorce, Divorce Management, Gottman, Self-Efficacy

The closure of schools due to the Covid-19 pandemic has forced all schools in Indonesia to be closed temporarily, therefore learning must be carried out online. Online learning is commonly carried out with teacher presentations and assignments therefore this makes learning monotonous and boring for students. So we need a medium that makes learning more interesting, namely with interactive powerpoints. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using interactive powerpoints in the online-based TGT model on thermochemistry material. This type of research is quasi-experimental research with a post-test only control group design. The data collection technique used the technique of daily test tests, documentation, and student perception questionnaires. The data were analyzed using the normality test, F test, and t test with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that before being given the treatment, the two classes were normally distributed, homogeneous variations and there was no difference in student absorption. After being given the treatment, the two classes had significant differences in absorption. Therefore it can be concluded that there is an effect of using interactive powerpoints in the online-based TGT model on thermochemistry material.
