This study was conducted to investigate how early childhood children perceive and define various concepts of value. Phenomenology, which is one of the qualitative research patterns, was used in the study. The study group of the study consisted of 20 5-year-old children who continue preschool education. While determining the children, a typical case sampling, which is one of the purposeful sampling methods, was used. It was noted that the entire sample was not educated in the same socio-economic level and planned value education before. A data collection tool that consist of open-ended questions with 7 value concepts (responsibility, sharing, benevolence, friendship, respect, honesty and courtesy), selected by researchers, was applied to the children with a semi-structured interview technique. The data obtained were evaluated by content analysis method. The data obtained from the answers given by the participants to the questions about value concepts were coded and themes were created and arranged in tables. In the results obtained by defining and interpreting the findings, it was seen that the perceptions and definitions of children of responsibility, sharing, benevolence and respect values are similar. In defining the value of responsibility, children often try to make definitions over the tasks that are assigned to them at home; in the definitions of sharing and benevolence values, they were influenced by the experiences of sharing and solidarity they had previously experienced; In their definitions of respect value, it is seen that they are affected by the behaviors and teachings of adults around them. As a result of the research, the answers given by the children to the questions about the value concepts were grouped. It has been observed that the perceptions and definitions of children about responsibility, sharing, benevolence and respect values are similar. It was seen that they tried to explain the value of friendship through sharing and benevolence values. The main purpose of this study was to reveal the experiences and problems faced by the classroom teachers who just started the teaching profession. The phenomenology approach was employed in the study since the study examined the experiences of classroom teachers who just started teaching by interviewing them. Sample selection was determined by using a purposeful sampling method to understand the phenomenon. In this regard, criterion sampling, one of the purposive sampling methods, was utilized in the study to obtain in-depth information about the phenomenon. Within the scope of the research, two basic criteria were taken into account, which is not being in the teaching profession for more than three years and working in schools with different socio-economic levels. The interviews were conducted online with the teachers at the times and dates determined by the teachers. The reason for conducting the interviews online was that the classroom teachers participating in the study worked in different cities. A total of 20 interviews were conducted, including classroom teachers from different regions of Turkey. Thematic analysis was used in the analysis of the study data. According to the results, classroom teachers in their first years, the study determined that teachers expressed their experiences in the context of “professional experiences” and “sociocultural-regional experiences.”

The purpose of this study was to examine the opinions of engineering students from various departments regarding the progress tracking and digital badge features applied in courses in the Learning Management System (LMS). The phenomenological design which is a qualitative research method is used in this study. Online forms with close and open questions were used to collect data. The study was conducted with a total of 226 students, who studied in 5 different departments. The data is subject to content analysis. According to the research results, students stated that the features tested triggered motivation to complete assignments and develop other students. As for the opinion of some students that these features should be held in every course in the LMS. Despite the general view of an LMS equipped with these features (Moodle), their general view of the features, especially the progress tracking feature and digital badges is quite good. What needs to be questioned is the willingness of lecturers and policymakers to apply it consistently in the campus environment.
