The working group of the research was determined through the easy accessible case sampling method. The collected data was analyzed through the descriptive analysis technique. In the research most of the students (75.24%) were found out to have negative perspective on the workbook for social studies course for the 7th grade. It was revealed that the students find activities in the workbook boring and do not want to do the activities. It was concluded that activities in the workbook were mostly assigned as homework for the students by their teachers. It can be said that teachers' negative attitudes and statements about workbooks contribute to students' not taking this important course material seriously. This study was conducted to determine the views of academicians regarding “The Views of Physical Education and Sports Teaching Instructors on Education in the Covid-19 Period”. The study used the phenomenological design, which is among qualitative research designs. The study group comprised 63 academicians carrying out duty in 21 different universities in Turkey during the 2019-2020 academic year. In line with the goal, the study was carried out with academicians who could contribute on voluntary basis. In order to determine the views of the academicians, a structured interview form was used. The interview form comprises four questions aiming to determine the necessity of distance education in the physical education area, which courses in the area can be given within the scope of distance education, possibility of teaching applied courses via distance education and problems they face in courses in the distance education process which has been put into effect compulsorily due to pandemic. The interview form was presented to the opinion of two instructors in the educational sciences area who have carried out qualitative research and then expert opinion was received. The application was conducted by primarily reaching the aforementioned academicians via telephone interview between 1 June-27 July 2020 and conveying the questions via e-mail. The descriptive analysis technique was used in analysis of the data. In the study 79% of the academicians stressed that applied courses should not be taught via distance education, while 52% stated that all theoretical courses could be taught via distance education. Examining the views of the academicians on the problems they faced in courses in the distance education process; 55% stated that the problems were associated with the system, 36% efficiency of the course, 30% inadequate student participation in the course, 21% inadequate student feedback, 21% evaluation, 19% inexperience about distance education and 17% lack of internet and computer opportunities in hometowns of students. Considering the findings of the study integratedly; it is believed that teaching applied courses via distance education is inadequate and inefficient. Also it is possible to state that it may not be appropriate to teach theoretical courses via distance education, except when necessary.

The purpose of this study was to reveal the views of administrators working in institutions providing adult elderly education on teacher leadership. Ten administrators, who were determined via convenience sampling which is among purposeful sampling methods, participated in this study using qualitative research method. The study was conducted in phenomenological design, which is among qualitative research designs. The interview technique was used to collect data in the study, thus, a semi-structured interview form was prepared and used for this process. The data were analyzed via content analysis technique. All the data acquired in the study were coded, various dimensions and appropriate themes for these dimensions were determined in accordance with the purpose of the study, and percentages and frequencies related to the themes were calculated and the views of the administrators on teacher leadership were revealed. As a result, the concept of an enriched environment, including cognitive tasks, such as elder education courses (sports, physical activity, artistic and skill studies), can form the basis for systematic assessment of possible interventions for successful aging. It provides another effective possibility to achieve better physical, physiological and cognitive improvements, especially in older adult. Further efforts are needed on the basis of teacher leadership in older education courses to reduce weakness and dependency among older adults and maintain independent physical and cognitive function, mental health and well-being. To determine the metaphorical perceptions of the concept of ‘‘folk dances’‘ the trainers were asked to complete such clauses as “folk dances are like….” and “Because ...”.In this study, phenomenological design was used from qualitative research approaches. In the analysis of data, content analysis technique was used. Frequency and percent values were calculated. The opinions of an in-field expert and an out-of-field expert were consulted as a reliability procedure. As a result of the calculation, the reliability of the research was calculated as %98.5.According to the study findings, it is seen that the trainers expressed their opinions on 86 types of metaphors that are divided into 12 conceptual categories for the concept of “folk dances” and 141 views for this. This research was designed in descriptive phenomenological design under the qualitative research method that focuses on determining how teachers make sense of teaching experiences. Criterion sampling and maximum variation sampling under purposeful sampling methods were conducted to select the participant of the present study. The data of the study were gathered through a semi-structured interview form including open-ended questions developed by the researcher. A systematic process composed of the steps entitled bracketing, phenomenological reduction, imaginative variation and synthesizing of meanings and essences was conducted to analyze the data. Results revealed that being a teacher was composed of six interrelated components entitled touching the lives of the others, being versatile, self-renewal, guiding, providing new perspectives and struggling with difficulties. The results of the research were discussed in line with the related literature.</p><p><strong>Öz</strong></p><p class="Default">Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmenlerin mesleki deneyimlerine dayalı olarak öğretmenliğe nasıl anlam yüklediklerini incelemektir. Araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemi ve betimsel fenomenolojik desende yürütülmüştür. Çalışma grubunun belirlenmesinde amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme ve maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesi kullanılmıştır. A satisfactory research question often signifies the beginning point for many researchers. While this can be true for quantitative studies because of pre-defined research questions, qualitative research questions undergo series of revisions through a reflective process. This reflective process provides the framework for the subjectivity associated with qualitative inquiry. The continuous iterative reflective process is an essential component for developing qualitative research questions that correspond with the various qualitative study designs. Although qualitative inquiry is term exclusively subjective, there is a need to use a framework in developing qualitative research questions. The Emphasis- Purposeful sampling- Phenomenon of interest – Context (EPPiC) framework guides qualitative researchers in developing and revising qualitative research questions to suit a specific qualitative approach. This article addresses both the development of a research question using the “EPPiC framework” and demonstrate how to revise the “developed” research question to reflect two qualitative research design. I developed a qualitative research question for Sally Thorne’s Interpretive Description design using the EPPiC Framework and subsequently revised the research question to suit a grounded theory design.

This study conducted in order to identify the special needs in elderly people. This article is a part of a qualitative research with grounded theory method. 15 elderly of Tehran city that were selected through a purposeful sampling participated in study. The main method for collecting data was semi-structured interview that continued until theoretical saturation of information. Data was analyzed with Strauss & Corbin coding manner or continued comparison and the assessor’s viewpoints method is used for validity promotion of data. Totally, most important domains of special needs in aging group were: family and relatives, education, movement and transportation, building and places (houses and public places), social participation and occupation, amusement, health and treatment services, and people’s attitude toward their problems. Those elderly people's special needs that are disabling are often caused by their characteristics and obstacles which are created by society. Therefore, resolving these man-made barriers such as non efficient systems and services, discriminatory policies, prejudice attitudes, etc will help them in the field of rehabilitation and individual independence enhancement.
