Background: The aging begun with the birth and observed as a continuous change in different phases of life due to weakening of the body function with respect to the time and quantity. Aging also causes a continuous stress on the adaptive response and indirectly enhance the disease conditions. The adaptive childhood degree is more important to the man for his well- being and happiness. But, due to stress increasing, a strong decreased adoptability led to the increase of the inner withdrawal,bitterness, weariness of life and depression are the results of failure to adapt. Methodology: The geriatrics eventually lead to depressed state and lack a prominentsupport. The current study aimed to analyze efficiency of the Reminiscence based therapy in aged and depressed people. The present work was based on quasi experimental nonequivalent control group designin selected senior citizen home, Chennai.Of 64 samples, experimental group (31)and control group (33) using Non-probability, purposive- sampling technique and measured based on Yesavage geriatric depression scale. Results: Continuously, twenty-one days, two session per day (morning and evening) the experimental group were demonstrated with Reminiscence therapy. Reminiscence therapy characteristically having non-pharmacological psychosocial intervention for depression remedy. The results showed the significant difference in degree of depression between the two groups. Conclusion: As conclusion, the study showed that reminiscence therapy had tremendously decreases the depression and elevated the well-being feeling in elder people.

Background and Objectives: The well being of oneself, happiness with one’s situation in life and ability to perform and control the different situation of life is HRQoL. Reminiscence therapy is a way for residents of assistant living facilities to become better acquainted with one another and strengthen the personal value and self esteem. The objective of this study was to assess the HRQoL while application of Reminiscence Therapy among the old age people who are residing at a selected old age home in Bengaluru, India. Materials and Methods: For this study quasi experimental research design was selected and convenient sampling technique was used to collect data from 60 samples staying at old age home by using the SF-36 scale. The samples in experimental group receive 10 sessions of reminiscence therapy each session last for 45 minutes to 1 hour. The experimental group was divided into 6 groups each group having five members for group discussion related to the topics like childhood memories, education pattern, first job and first salary, marriage, first child etc. Post test data was collected after a week of implementation of Reminiscence Therapy. Then the data was analyzed and interpreted. Results: The findings of the study with regard to pretest HRQoL reveals that 86.7% has poor HRQoL, 13.3 % moderate HRQoL and no one was having good HRQoL in experimental group. In control group 56.7% has poor HRQoL, 43.3% moderate HRQoL and no one was having good HRQoL. But in posttest, only in experimental group there was significant improvement in HRQoL as 83.3% has good HRQoL, 13.3% moderate HRQoL and 3% poor HRQoL.  Conclusion: This study concluded that with significant improvement in the SF-36 Scale score after administration of the reminiscence therapy and seen improvement in HRQoL.

This study aims to determine whether the number of daily steps is effective in the body composition and mental well-being of university students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research group of the study consisted of 40 volunteer students studying at the Faculty of Sport Sciences by being randomly assigned to the experimental (n:20) and control (n:20) groups. The research is in the experimental model with a pre-test/post-test control group. As a data collection tool in the study, the 'Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale' was used to determine the personal information form and mental well-being. The obtained data were analysed in the Jamovi 1.8.2 statistical software program with a 95% reliability interval and 5% margin of error. In the analysis of the data, percentage (%), frequency (f), and mean (x̄) values were used in the descriptive data, Paired Samples t-test was used in the pre-test/post-test comparison, and Multinomial Regression analysis was used in the relational analysis. According to the findings of the study, 75% of the students in the experimental group and 70% of the students in the control group were in the normal weight class according to the body mass index classification. According to waist-hip ratio classification, 85% of the experimental group and 70% of the control group were in the group that did not have cardiovascular disease risk. After two months of application, the daily average number of steps of the experimental group (12.5751898.1) and the daily average number of steps of the control group were determined as (5381.272026.2). While there was a statistically significant difference in the pre-test/post-test body mass index averages of the experimental group who were asked to take at least 10,000 steps per day (p0.05), although there was an increase in the mean waist-hip ratio and mental well-being, there was no statistically significant difference (p0.05). It was determined that the step average had a statistically significant effect on the experimental group according to the body mass index classification (p0.05). As a result, while taking at least 10,000 steps per day was effective in the body mass index of the students, it was not so in the waist-hip ratio and mental well-being. Background: To explore the intervention degree and improvement effect of group reminiscence therapy in combination with physical exercise on spiritual well-being of the elderly after the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic. Methodology: In 2020, overall, 130 elderly people were selected from communities in Xiangtan City and Changsha City of Hunan Province, China and randomly divided into two groups, with 65 people in each group. One group was the experimental group that participated in the exercise intervention for 8 weeks as the objects of group reminiscence therapy intervention in combination with physical exercise. The other group was the control group that listened to 4 routine health lectures. Spirituality Index of Well-Being, ULS Loneliness Scale and Brief Resilience Scale were used to evaluate the effect of the intervention. Results: Before the intervention, there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group, but after 8 weeks of exercise intervention, the score of loneliness was lower in the experimental group than in the control group (P<0.05), the scores of spiritual well-being and resilience were significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group (P<0.05); and the differences before and after the intervention were significantly higher in the experimental group than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Group reminiscence therapy in combination with physical exercise could improve spiritual wellbeing and mental health of the elderly.

ABSTRACT Toilet training is an effort to train children to be able to control and urinate (BAK) and defecate (BAB). Toilet training is one of the main tasks of children at toddler age. Toilet training is one of the main tasks of children in toddler age which is very important to be done to create independence in children in controlling BAK and BAB and children know the parts of the body and their functions. Data in 2012 shows that ± 60% of parents do not teach toilet training to children from an early age. The aim of the study was to find out the effectiveness of toilet training education on maternal behavior and toilet skills in toddler age training (18-36 months). The study was conducted in July-August 2018. This type of quantitative research used the design of the Quasy pretest and posttest experiment with non-equivalent control group design. Samples were 36 mothers and 36 children with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used Paired t test, Wilcoxon test, Man-Whitney test an Independent t test. The results showed that toilet training education through lecture methods, modules and maze games was more effective than toilet training education through lecture and leaflet methods on children's knowledge and abilities. Conversely, for the role of mothers in supervision there is no significant difference in effectiveness. Health education is recommended in health promotion programs to increase maternal knowledge, the role of mothers and the ability of toilet training children independently. Abstract Aims To evaluate the efficacy and mechanism of positive psychological intervention (PPI) on the psychological capital, psychological distress, and life satisfaction among colostomy patients. Methods Patients (n=120) with permanent stomas were recruited and randomly assigned into two groups. Patients in the experimental group (n=60) received standard care and PPI, whereas patients in the control group (n=60) only received standard care. The psychological capital, psychological distress, and life satisfaction were measured and compared between two groups before the intervention, the immediate post-intervention, and follow-up. Results All 120 patients completed the study. The hope, optimism, resilience, psychological distress, and life satisfaction score of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group at T1 and T2 (P<0.05). Self-efficacy score of the experimental group had no significant difference at the two-time points after the intervention than the control group (P>0.05). Changes in hope and resilience which belong to psychological capital mediated the intervention’s efficacy on changes in PPI on life satisfaction (β = 0.265, P=0.005; β = 0.686, P=0.002). Conclusions PPI could effectively improve psychological capital, psychological distress, and life satisfaction among patients with stomas. Besides, our findings add novel support that increased hope and resilience are the active ingredients that promote intervention change.

<p><span>Baby Massage and Spa was a traditional effort that uses a holistic approach through comprehensive care using a combination of massage and water therapy methods that are carried out in an integrated manner to balance the body, mind, and feelings. Age 3-6 months is the right time for babies to do massage and spa. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of baby massage and spa on the growth of infants aged 3-5 months in Pringsewu District in 2018. This study uses a quasi-experimental approach with research design pre and post-test with control group design. The purposive sampling technique was taken with a sample of 30 infants as the intervention group and 30 infants as the control group. Data were processed using computerization and analyzed using the T-Test. The results showed that there were significant differences between body weight, body length and baby head circumference in the pre and post-treatment. There was no significant difference in the average increase in infant weight between babies who were carried out by baby massage and spa with babies who were not carried out by baby massage and spa with p-value 0.116. There is a significant difference in the baby's body length and head circumference performed by baby massage and spa with those not carried out by baby massage and spa with p-value 0.000. Baby Massage and Spa has a significant effect on increasing the growth of babies aged 3-5 months.</span></p><p><span> </span></p>

<p>This research aimed to analyze the effectiveness of constructivist learning using guided discovery models on the concept of a regulatory system for curiosity and anti-narcotics attitudes. This research used a quasi-experimental and pre-experimental design. The population was all of the 4th semester MIA classes of SMA Negeri 1 Salatiga which consists of seven classes. Samples were taken with a convenience sampling technique.  MIA 2.4 and 5.4 as the experimental group and MIA 3.4 and 4.4 as the control group. The data in this research were collected by the scale of curiosity and anti-narcotics attitude. Data were analyzed with descriptive analyzed and t-test. The result showed as follows: there is a significant difference at the end of the curiosity and anti-narcotics attitude of constructivist learning using guided discovery model compared with direct instruction model learning; the average of student’s curiosity and anti-narcotics attitude score ≥ 3,00 on constructivist learning using guided discovery model. It is concluded that constructivist learning using a guided discovery model is effectively completed learning outcomes of the curiosity and anti-narcotics attitude on the regulatory system concept.</p>

This study investigates the effects of psychodrama on adults’ anxiety and subjective well-being levels. A pre/post-test experimental pattern is used with experimental and control groups. The study sample consists of 24 non-thesis master’s program students at Gaziantep University, Human Psychology, and Communication. The State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and the Subjective Well-Being Scale were applied as a pre-test to the experimental and control groups. The psychodrama group practice was performed with the experimental group once a week for eleven weeks, 90 minutes per session, while the control group did not receive any practice. After the application, the post-test was administered to both groups. The data were analyzed with SPSS 23 statistical program. The Mann-Whitney U test was used to evaluate the difference between the experimental and control group, and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was applied for the changes within the experimental group. The findings indicate that the individuals’ anxiety level in the experimental group significantly decreased compared to the control group. There was no significant difference between subjective well-being in the experimental and control group for pre-test and post-test applications.

This study is aimed find out significant difference of natural science learning outcomes of students who follow peer tutor and do not follow peer tutor. This study is quasi experimental study especially non-equivalent post tes only kontrol groip design. The population of this study was the entire of IV grade students in Gugus II Santalia Kubutambahan District. The sample was determined by using random sampling technique. The sample was IV grade students if SDN 2 Kubutambahan was chosen as experimental group and class IV SDN 4 Kubutambahan as control group. The data was teken by using multiple choice test. The data obtained were analized by using descriptive statistical analysis and inrerential statistic t-test with the formula of polled variance. The results showed the lessons with peer tutor and the group of students who do not follow peer tutor. the findings are peer tutor makes the students motivated, trained, and active to espress their option. furthermore, peer tutor provides an opportunity for the students to exchange ideas, and their work together. in addition, learning with peer titor becomes fluent communicating

Background: The diagnosis and the treatment for cancer are significant stressors for the patients. It can affect physical as well as psychological well-being. Variations in salivary amylase indicate physiological responses to the stressful experience during chemotherapy. Music therapy is witnessed to decrease psychosocial distress in the oncology setting. Listening to music can positively benefit neurophysiologic and emotional responses as well as promote relaxation, especially beneficial for cancer patients undergoing painful and anxiety-inducing chemotherapy. It is, therefore nurses, who are so familiar with this environment, not only to be aware of this anxiety-producing process but to cope with it and to alleviate it for the patient as much as possible. Objective: The objective of the study was to determine the salivary amylase levels in patients undergoing chemotherapy before and after listening to preferred music. Design: Quasi-experimental repeated measure design. Setting; Experimental and control group were recruited from two oncology units of selected multispecialty hospitals. Participants: Purposive sampling techniques were used to select the study participants. Patients of age group eighteen and above, undergoing first time chemotherapy treatment and the chemotherapy infusion lasts for minimum of 3 hours duration was the inclusion criteria whereas Patients who were unable to listen to music due to hearing problems, those who were with head and neck cancer, diabetes, hypertension, and thyroid problems were excluded from the study. 168 eligible participants were recruited among which 8 were unable to continue. Methods: Saliva was collected from both the study groups before and after the chemotherapy administration. The patient preferred instrumental music intervention was administered for the duration of 3 hours during chemotherapy with the help of mp3 player and musical pillow in the experimental group where the control group had a routine oncology unit care and they were rested on a bed during the chemotherapy administration. The post-tests were done on day 3 and day 5. Results: Significant changes in mean salivary amylase were observed in the experimental group compared to the control group (p˂0.05). Repeated measure ANOVA also showed a significant difference (p˂0.05) in the experimental group at different time points of observation. There was a significant association between the baseline amylase level and stage of cancer in both the experimental and control group (p˂0.05). Conclusion: Music was effective in patients undergoing chemotherapy in terms of reduction in salivary amylase level.
