On September 10, 2021, a special tribunal established by the French government launched an inquiry into the activities of former health minister Dr. Agnes Buzyn who was charged with “endangering the lives of others”. It is surprising to learn of this accusation and inquiry into the actions of a public health official whose response to the epidemic was, to all appearances, exemplary.

Accordingly, the style of linguistic or verbal communication between governments and nations has been highly affected. Therefore, this paper aims to investigate resources where X-phemistic expressions come as characteristics of the speeches of Saudi Health Minister during Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, it examines how Warren's euphemistic strategies (1992) have appeared in the minister’s speeches. The collected data are the eight speeches delivered by Saudi Minister of Health during Covid-19 pandemic. They are analyzed qualitatively using thematic analysis (TA) approach. The results show that Saudi Health Minister manages to deliver the massages about Covid-19 crisis through applying variety of linguistic devices which sound to be euphemistic, dysphemistic, and orthophemistic representations of the pandemic. The employment of each X-phemisms choice is mainly occurred within certain thematic fields. Euphemism is used in presenting unpleasant massages, naming the health crisis, and comforting the public. Dysphemism is applied in one specific theme of describing the virus. Orthophemisms is found in themes of declaring facts about the pandemic, warning the public, and requesting to follow instructions. It is also found that implication, reversal, particularization, metonymy, and metaphors are the most frequently used euphemistic strategies among Warren model (1992). This analysis contributes to the limited examination of pandemic discourse by understanding how X-phemistic expressions and euphemistic strategies are used by Arabic speakers during international crises like Covid-19.

On March 2nd, 2020, the first case of COVID-19 in Indonesia was announced. Dr. Terawan Agus Putranto, who is the Health Minister of the Kabinet Indonesia Maju [Onward Indonesia Cabinet], received public scrutiny over his attitude in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. Coverage of Terawan's handling of the COVID-19 outbreak appeared in the news many times, including on online news organisations detik.com and kumparan.com. Mass media framing is considered very important in the delivery of news, particularly so in a disruptive era. This descriptive interpretive qualitative study aims to illustrate how detik.com and kumparan.com framed Health Minister Terawan and his management of the COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia. Data was obtained from online news articles relating to Terawan as the Health Minister and the management of COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia from March 2nd –31st, 2020. The Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki framing model is used as the method of analysis and contains four framing device structures, namely syntax, script, theme, and rhetoric. The results of this study indicate that neither the word choices in headlines nor the manner in which facts are presented by detik.com caused controversy or offended Terawan. Furthermore, the word choices in headlines and the manner in which facts are presented by kumparan.com are considered to slightly offend Terawan without causing controversy. Overall, there is no significant difference in the framing of Terawan and his management of the COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia between Detik.com and Kumparan.com. Keywords: Framing, handling of COVID-19, online news, Terawan, Zhongdang Pan, Gerald M. Kosicki model.

This article examines the Depo-Provera Affair—where Israeli doctors administered the contraceptive Depo-Provera to newly immigrated Ethiopian Jewish women—to argue that the Israeli settler colonial project depends on these forms of gendered anti-Black violence, through the management of Black African bodies. In 2013, then Israeli Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman admitted that they had administered Depo-Provera to Ethiopian immigrant women without their consent, after reproductive and civil rights activists in Israel called for an investigation after a drop in the birthrate among Ethiopian women: close to 50 per cent within the previous decade. The demarcation of Blackness as a political tool necessary to advance Israeli modernity and the situating of Black bodies as antithetical to the state of Israel are not contradictory but rather illuminate Israel’s deployment of anti-Blackness through the racial and reproductive violence necessary to become part of the superior, European West.

Republic of Indonesia Health Minister Regulation No. 73 of 2016 states that counseling is one of the pharmaceutical services at the Pharmacy. This study aims to determine the implementation of drug counseling by Pharmacists to patients in the Pharmacy in accordance with Republic of Indonesia Health Minister Regulation No. 73 of 2016. This type of research is non experimental with cross sectional design. In this study the data was taken using a questionnaire via Google Form. Fill out the google form by the pharmacists in Badung Regency. The data obtained were analyzed and then the percentage was made. Based on the data obtained, as many as 100% of respondents had counseled patients with varying time periods. Respondents had counseled within 1-10 minutes. When providing counseling, as many as 55.55% of respondents asked that there were those who needed help, such as lack of time, place and knowledge. Provision of information in the implementation of counseling, namely how to use and store drugs (100%), time of drug use (88.89%), drug dosage and duration of drug use (77.78%), and drug side effects (66.67%). This is good enough to increase patient approval for taking the drug. However, counseling documentation and recording patient documentation is still not effective in its implementation due to various factors. In terms of the pharmacist's knowledge regarding the laws governing the performance of pharmaceutical personnel, 88.89% of respondents already knew that. Therefore, it is expected that pharmacists can carry out their duties properly in accordance with statutory regulations.

Significance Accounting directly and indirectly for 16-17% of GDP in 2019, tourism is a major plank of the Dominican economy and will be key to broader economic recovery in 2021. With that in mind, the government is striving to encourage visitors back as soon as possible. Impacts Cruises are less important to the Dominican Republic than some smaller islands, but the slow recovery of that sector will be a blow. The president plans to launch an infrastructure investment programme later this year to help boost employment. The dismissal of Health Minister Plutarco Arias over alleged procurement irregularities may undermine government anti-corruption pledges.
