This article is based at the diagnosis of pyogenic granuloma, which is characterized as a benign simple hyperplastic tumor and has an inflammatory reactive component that increases in size as a connective tissue reaction, forming a repair tissue as a protective mechanism. Clinically, pyogenic granuloma is seen as a red or purplish lesion (similar to the adjacent mucosa), too vascular, with a sessile or pedunculated base, with slow growth, reaching a size that rarely exceeds 2,5 cm, the surface of which can be rough or smooth. It occurs more frequently in adulthood, with a predominance in females (mainly during pregnancy), between the second and seventh life's decades. This aim of this paper is to report a case of pyogenic granuloma on the upper lip of a patient at the FAESA's Dental Clinic.

Abstract The use of an asynchronous generator to power the electrical equipment of the sprinkler is a comprehensive solution that allows you to reduce electrical losses in the supply line. The problem of reactive power compensation for sprinkler machines can be solved by dividing capacitor units into main and additional, the main one is to create the required excitation current in the asynchronous generator, and the additional one is to compensate for the reactive component of the electric motor current. Moreover, an additional unit is installed directly at the outputs of the booster pump to unload the line, and the main capacitor unit is installed near the asynchronous generator.

This paper presents a methodology to connect distributed energy resources via an 84-pulse voltage source converter to three-phase system grid or load of standard or nonstandard voltage values. Transfer function blocks are included to illustrate interfacing among converters. The main input-output values to be considered in the application are detailed and the system can be modified to be included in other systems without loss of generality. The definition of the reactive component for supporting grid or load variations without degrading the overall performance is carried by for the DC-DC converter. A control variable for reducing the DC gain is used to improve the settling time. Our proposal defines the capacitive and inductive component values for an operating point and gives the option to reduce them when adding smoothed variations and adaptive controllers.

It is shown that it is very effective to remove corrosion products from various surfaces, including the metal surface of the propeller, using the new technology of reverse-jet cleaning (RJC) developed by the authors. The RJS technology is based on the physical principle that the jet of the working fluid (pulp based on river sand or bentonite clay), upon impact with the surface to be cleaned, turns 180°, which leads to an increase in the jet effect on the surface to be cleaned by 1.5–2 times due to the occurrence of the reactive component. To ensure the marked turn of the jet, an original design of the body was developed, which is distinguished by a patent novelty. One of the main elements in this design is a jet-forming device in the form of a confuser. The presented theoretical studies of the pressure loss of the working fluid in the confuser channel, based on the study of the pressure loss function to the extremum, which made it possible to obtain a dependence for calculating the optimal taper angle in a wide range of Reynolds numbers characterizing the turbulent mode of motion taking into account the influence of the working fluid density and its dynamic viscosity, the average speed of movement of the working fluid, the radius of the confuser, as well as the coefficient of equivalent roughness, i.e. from gradual wear of the confuser channel. The resulting dependence can be recommended for calculation in the design of jet cleaning devices and other installations of jet technology.

We studied CD34+ stromal cells/telocytes (CD34+SCs/TCs) in pathologic skin, after briefly examining them in normal conditions. We confirm previous studies by other authors in the normal dermis regarding CD34+SC/TC characteristics and distribution around vessels, nerves and cutaneous annexes, highlighting their practical absence in the papillary dermis and presence in the bulge region of perifollicular groups of very small CD34+ stromal cells. In non-tumoral skin pathology, we studied examples of the principal histologic patterns in which CD34+SCs/TCs have (1) a fundamental pathophysiological role, including (a) fibrosing/sclerosing diseases, such as systemic sclerosis, with loss of CD34+SCs/TCs and presence of stromal cells co-expressing CD34 and αSMA, and (b) metabolic degenerative processes, including basophilic degeneration of collagen, with stromal cells/telocytes in close association with degenerative fibrils, and cutaneous myxoid cysts with spindle-shaped, stellate and bulky vacuolated CD34+ stromal cells, and (2) a secondary reactive role, encompassing dermatitis—e.g., interface (erythema multiforme), acantholytic (pemphigus, Hailey–Hailey disease), lichenoid (lichen planus), subepidermal vesicular (bullous pemphigoid), psoriasiform (psoriasis), granulomatous (granuloma annulare)—vasculitis (leukocytoclastic and lymphocytic vasculitis), folliculitis, perifolliculitis and inflammation of the sweat and sebaceous glands (perifolliculitis and rosacea) and infectious dermatitis (verruca vulgaris). In skin tumor and tumor-like conditions, we studied examples of those in which CD34+ stromal cells are (1) the neoplastic component (dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, sclerotic fibroma and solitary fibrous tumor), (2) a neoplastic component with varying presentation (fibroepithelial polyp and superficial myxofibrosarcoma) and (3) a reactive component in other tumor/tumor-like cell lines, such as those deriving from vessel periendothelial cells (myopericytoma), epithelial cells (trichoepithelioma, nevus sebaceous of Jadassohn and seborrheic keratosis), Merkel cells (Merkel cell carcinoma), melanocytes (dermal melanocytic nevi) and Schwann cells (neurofibroma and granular cell tumor).

The article studies the factors influencing the quality of electricity in the power supply systems of sea vessels. Problems caused by electromagnetic interference on ships including voltage drop in the electrical networks due to the nonlinear loads in the system, as well as power asymmetry are considered. The necessity of using active filters in autonomous power systems is found out. A model of an active filter for a closed power supply system with a nonlinear asymmetric load has been developed. The diagram of the active filter model in MATLAB / Simulink environment is illustrated. The simulation was carried out paying attention to various parameters of the system. There has been given an example of a program code for transforming the abc coordinates to the dq coordinates. The disadvantage of the considered circuit is stated: the greater the asymmetry and nonlinearity of the load, the lower the power for current filtering. There are considered the dependences between the measured value of voltage harmonic distortion (according to International Electronic Commission (IEC) 61000-2-4: 2002) and the observed phenomena in the unit; the measured value of the harmonic current distortion and the observed phenomena in the unit. According to the simulation results, it was inferred that the active current compensating filter will improve the quality of power on board the ship. The filter eliminates the imbalance, evens current harmonics and compensates the reactive component of currents. The scheme is advisable for using in autonomous systems of limited power on the merchant ships.

Motivation: Suicide is a major psychiatric emergency, men being more inclined to successful suicide, not to attempts and to approach it by abrupt and aggressive means. Objectives: To present a male patient who developed a major depressive episode, in which the reactive component had a significant contribution in return for endogeny. The suicide attempt quickly escalated changes in thymic function over several days. Results: The patient corresponds to the age at which major depressive disorder begins. There remains a clinical discussion between a genuine suicide attempt, carried out with a plan, internal turmoil, rumination or a parasuicide, in which the person in question needed a change in the field of consciousness to try to throw himself in front of the subway. Note the high internal tension, the absence of the search for alternative solutions, the narcissistic wound, the endo-psychic vulnerability, the elements of correctness such as structural mental rigidity. Conclusions: Early responsiveness to medication emphasizes the endogenous potential and the potential of vulnerability, after the approach through a combination of antidepressants and antipsychotics, the latter developing a clearer perspective on reality and decisions.

The essence of the physical processes of vector control of an asynchronous valve cascade (AVC), in particular the processes of excitation of a rotating magnetic flux, becomes clearer if this field is considered as an independent object. The nonlinearity of the system of differential equations of AVC prevents the separation and consideration of a rotating magnetic field as an independent physical object. For AVC, when the stator of asynchronous machine (AM) is powered from the network, and the rotor circuit – from the frequency converter, the problem of studying the process of creating a magnetic field was not considered. It is possible to substantiate the possibility of considering the dynamics of the magnetic flux isolated from the reaction of the active power channel, provided that the rotor is held stationary by the control system and the reactive current of the rotor is stabilized by its regulator at a certain level. The process of magnetization of AM in the circuit AVC is mainly due to the voltage of the supply network, which significantly limits the possibility of actively influencing the formation of the reference vector of the stator flux linkage with the help of the regulator of the reactive component of the rotor current. It becomes impossible to qualitatively control the electromagnetic torque AM at the initial stage of start-up, when the stator flux linkage takes on a steady-state value after prolonged oscillations. This phenomenon leads to the need to supply a reference signal to the speed control channel when the stator flux linkage vector reaches a steady-state value when the rotor is stationary and there is no load torque on the shaft. In the article, the task is to investigate the process of excitation of the magnetic field of the AVC and the influence of the current regulator on this process at its different structures in the reactive power channel. An original method of studying the statics and dynamics of excitation of the magnetic field of the AVC is applied, the results of which allow us to conclude that to increase the stability margin of the reactive power circuit of the AVC, it is necessary to regulate the magnetizing current in the control system of this circuit instead of the reactive component of the rotor current.
