The purpose of this paper is to point out and propose the most effective means of therapeutic swimming in the use of work programs for patients with dorsalgia in spinal static disorders. The knowledge degree of therapeutic swimming is not sufficiently promoted and used, which is why we propose the following hypothesis: we start from the premise that therapeutic swimming can reduce the dorsalgia in the spine, improve lung capacity and physical condition in young adults. The objectives of this work are to identify subjects with spinal static dorsalgia and to establish the sample for the experiment; in the selection of therapeutic swimming means for the elaboration of the work program; in the registration and interpretation of the data in the form of tables and charts. The experiment took place at the Kinetic Therapy Practice of Mr. Constantinescu Mihai, as well as at the swimming pool in Cornisa, Botoşani county, with a sample consisting of 15 subjects aged between 18 and 22, all of whom suffered dorsalgia (in the spine). In this respect, we set out to implement a therapeutic swimming program for 6 months to achieve positive results. Keywords: dorsalgia, spinal static disorders, therapeutic swimming,

Introduction. The performance areas of post-stroke mention negatively correlated determinants in doing daily activities. The intrinsic motor recovery depends on the primary motor deficit. The functional recovery of patients with post-stroke sequelae is not only based on the remission of the functional deficit, but it also depends on the ability to develop adapted motor strategies. The objective of the study was to point out, for the patients with post-stroke sequelae, the sensitive, motor and cognitive changes in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Material and method. The study included a number of 18 patients diagnosed with post-stroke sequelae and was conducted for a period of 5 months in an outpatient department. The recovery treatment included sessions of kinetotherapy and occupational therapy. The evaluation of the patients was made in the beginning of the treatment, at its end and at the control after 6 weeks. Scales were used to assess pain, the static and dynamic balance, the gait and the cognitive function. Results. The obtained results were statistically significant for the patients in the group. The values that were obtained by applying the tests and evaluation scales are consistent with the clinical evolution of the patients in the study group. Conclusions. Given the pandemic period we are going through, it is still necessary to carefully evaluate not only the sensory-motor functions of patients with post-stroke sequelae, but also the cognitive functions that are known to influence in some situations the recovery of these patients. Keywords: post-stroke sequelae, functional recovery, kinetic therapy,

The experiment was carried out over a period of 3 months, during 24 sessions. Subjects (n = 80) aged 11-17 years. 34 of them were male and 46 were female. We have associated a diet with some classical exercises for kinetic therapy for the rehabilitation of the defective condition of the subjects. Each subject benefited from an individualized program according to the static medical problems detected. By completing the individualized kinetic program, each of the 80 subjects improved on average 7 out of the 12 indices determined by the posturotest. The best results were recorded for girls, in the measurements monitored at the back examination. In boys, the best results were recorded in the measurements monitored in the profile examination. The main conclusion is that a controlled diet and kinetic exercises individualized for each and every defective condition improve both health and posture.

AbstractThe Pompage is a manual therapy technique that was founded by the American osteopath Cathie and developed and published by Marcel Bienfait in France. It works by tensing the muscle fascia allowing muscles to slide. The occupational therapist who is aiming to achieve a better functional performance emphasizes that some practices require a pre-kinetic therapy such as Pompage, which is an important resource used as a movement facilitator. Thus, this study aims to verify the contributions of the technique to Occupational Therapy in physical rehabilitation and to discuss the importance of these professionals including manual therapies in their practice. This is an experience report, a bibliographical study of books and in the BVS and Pubmed databases from April to May 2017 and the consultation of the field diary. 78 articles were found and through the criteria established 11 were used,. Between the contents of the studies read and the field diary it was established that the technique can be used with different objectives such as action on circulation, musculature, articular and also a calming effect on the patient. Moreover once mobilized the movement has more quality, amplitude and less pain throughout the visits. A shortage of publications on the subject was identified despite the indication of the Ministry of Health of Brazil so that integrative practices are included in Health Unic System. Keywords: Fascia; Musculoskeletal manipulations; Occupational therapy.

Abstract Introduction Among the treatment modalities in this disease , the surgical and conservative means stand out through therapy resources such as electro-thermotherapy and kinetic therapy. The general objective of this study was to evaluate the effects from two protocols of physical therapy in elder women with knee osteoarthritis. Methods An experimental clinical trial type study consisting of pre and post tests was performed, in which 30 female patients were selected, all between 61 and 80 years old, diagnosed with primary knee OA, treated at the Center for Comprehensive Health Care for the Elder (CAISI - Centro de Atenção Integral à Saúde do Idoso). They were divided into 2 groups of 15 persons for each type of treatment: Group I was treated with kinetic therapy, and group II was treated with electro-thermotherapy. Patients from both groups underwent 36 physical therapy sessions during 12 weeks. For data collection, protocol sheets with socio-demographic data, Body Mass Index (BMI) at kg/m2, visual analogue scale (VAS) and measurement of motion range (ADM) were used. For statistics analysis, the Mann-Whitney, Wilcoxon and Chi-square's non-parametric tests were used. Student's parametric tests were also applied as independent samples. Results The tests performed in both groups contributed to the reduction in the level of pain. There were differences in group I and II on the increase of ADM, except in bending the left knee in group II. Conclusion It was concluded that both treatment modalities showed effective therapeutic responses, but these benefits were even higher in OA treatment by kinetic therapy.

Traumas of locomotion system, even recovered at a great extent may change subjects’ posture and stability along time by determining an emphasis of balance or forces developed at the foot-ground contact level. In this paper we present the analysis of a subject’s case study, after a trauma in the heel area, which recovered by surgery and physical and kinetic therapy, but whose normal and/or added steps gait was changed due to the prolonged recovery time. The analysis method is based upon the information gathered from the Footscan plate sensors at the contact moment between the locomotion system (sole) and the ground. In the first part of the paper, the fundamental aspect related to the measuring of contact pressure between the human body and the ground in dynamic regime are presented, also the influence of the trunk and head posture upon this type of locomotion action. In the second part, the experimental system and the experimental development are presented, while in the final part we show the results and conclusions of this experimental research on specific case studies.
