The article is devoted to the analysis and empirical study of the most promising developmental tasks of the modern educational environment for the development of new approaches to the organization and psychological support of the development of a person's productive activity. These tasks clearly demonstrate the relationship between the motivational sphere of the individual and the social environment, the effectiveness of the influence of social factors on the development of the individual, the importance of studying their hierarchization according to the degree of influence. The relevance of the research lies in the fact that the study of the possibility of a targeted impact through social factors, norms, requirements on the motivational-need sphere of a developing personality will allow to determine to a large extent, the direction of its development. Our research is based on the assumption that the analysis of the motivational profile will allow us to understand how student youth comes to the realization of the need to coordinate the goals, requirements, wishes of the external environment with their own motivation. The aim of the study was to study the influence of the individual's objective attitudes on the structure of professional activity motives. To solve the set tasks, the following methods were used: the motivational profile of S. Ritchie and P. Martin, the test "20 statements". The results obtained by the method of S. Ritchie and P. Martin confirmed our hypothetical assumption, the respondents predominantly chose the objective components of the motivational structure, which were substantively related to the social expectations of the subjects (from society to themselves). The results obtained confirmed the prospects of studying the influence of social factors on the development of the motivational-need-related sphere of the individual. The analysis of social factors makes it possible to study and model the conditions that contribute to the rethinking of the actual situation by the individual and the creation of new meanings of activity that provide for a wider non-utilitarian social context that goes beyond the current situation.

The article presents the results of theoretical and practical analysis of the problem of STEM education in Ukraine. The authors assume that the definition of theoretical and methodological principles of this problem will help create conditions for the effective completion of educational and upbringing tasks in educational institutions. The article reveals the main conceptual principles of the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine 05.082020 № 960-r «On approval of the Conception of natural sciences and mathematical education development (STEM-education)». Implementation of this Conception is envisaged by 2027. This Conception is aimed at the development of STEM-education, its large-scale implementation at all levels of education, establishing partnerships with employers and research institutions and their involvement in the development of natural sciences and mathematical education. The article also reveals the main theoretical and methodological principles of STEM-education such as: methodological principles, resource principles, organizational conditions and human resources, which ensures the success of the implementation of innovative learning in the education system. Creating an educational STEM-environment in an educational institution is one of the main tasks of the current stage of development of STEM-education. The educational STEM-environment of an educational institution is a set of intellectual and material conditions for the implementation of research results, technologies, engineering and integrated knowledge that ensure the self-development of a free and active personality and the realization of creative potential of students. STEM-education is implemented under the conditions of integration of all types of education on the basis of online platforms, media products, STEM-centers or laboratories, virtual STEM-centers, using non-standard methods, such as: STEM-excursions, interactive quests, contests or competitions in areas such as Internet of Things and robotics, STEM -festivals of makers and inventors, scientific picnics, hackathons, etc. The authors assume that the use of the above innovative and interactive methods and forms of work, organically combined with the peculiarities of educational activities, will effectively meet requirements of the Conception of natural sciences and mathematical education development (STEM-education), will allow students to form skills of research and engineering, invention and entrepreneurship, will provide support to students in their professional self-determination.

The article investigates the university social responsibility and the conditions in which the implementation of social functions carried out by higher education institutions can be possible. Models of interaction between society and universities are presented: the model of «civic university», which means the interaction of university, local community and local government, and the model of «quadruple spiral of innovation», which means a high degree of interaction between universities, business, government and society in various organizational forms. In the conditions of societal changes Ukrainian universities are gradually adapting their organizational mission to expand the list of functions, including those that meet the principles of social responsibility. To analyze the social responsibility of Ukrainian HEIs, a case method was applied, to analyze public materials of Mariupol State University. This university was chosen for research for a number of reasons: the institution is integrated into the life of the local community, city and region; the institution has successful experience of cooperation with local authorities and local NGOs; the university has educational programs in the humanities, social sciences and public administration; MSU staff and students are involved in many local community initiatives. To study the degree of interaction between the university and the local community, the representatives of local NGOs were interviewed. They, on the one hand, confirmed the hypothesis of the study that cooperation between HEIs and NGOs increases the ability of both social actors to respond to current local needs of communities, but outlined the main problems of this interaction, which are characteristic of most HEIs of the country: a high degree of bureaucracy, focusing on the provision of educational services and research, projects related to the infrastructure of the institution and its international presence. It is concluded that the policy of isolationism of Ukrainian HEIs inhibits the adaptation of the «civic university» model and the “quadruple spiral of innovation” model in Ukrainian society.

The article is devoted to the problem of developmental effects of the pedagogical process in educational institutions. It is noted that ensuring the development of the child in the learning process involves the definition of proper developmental effects (as opposed to pedagogical), which are taken as the basis for setting its specific purpose, designing appropriate content, methods and organizational forms of work - the components of the pedagogical system. Developing effects differ from pedagogical effects proper - knowledge and ways of actions (abilities and skills) mastered by students, provided by educational programs; such effects are defined by concepts and filled with the content of development, its components and characteristics. The article examines the essence of psychological development as a basic concept for understanding the problem posed, in the procedural and substantive aspects. Particular attention is paid to the disclosure of the most important laws and characteristics of development, the knowledge of which is important to consider in the pedagogical process. In particular, the position of development in the form of phylogenies and ontogenesis, which include biological and social components, is disclosed. Such characteristics of development as: differentiation, integration, heterochronicity, compensation of functions, as well as irreversibility, progress and regress, zigzag-like and others are considered. There is a position on development as a result of interiorization of the exterior and exteriorization of the interior; human activity is viewed as a necessary condition of development - performance and mastery of activity according to the structure and given characteristics in specially organized conditions; internal contradictions are defined as driving forces of development. The age-related aspect of development is also touched upon, with its most important foundations in age-specific periodization. It is noted that the effects of development at certain age stages must be considered in accordance with age-specific norms of manifestation. The article states that in the pedagogical process it is also important to take into account the knowledge regarding the features and possibilities of the formation of specific psychological phenomena in a particular category of children, according to their essence. Such phenomena are defined and specified based on the structure of the psyche, the most important components of which include psychological processes (cognitive and emotional-volitional), personal properties and personality as a whole, their components and characteristics. It is noted that the forms of human activity (activity, communication and behavior, taking into account their structure, completeness of characteristics, and, in particular, arbitrariness) in which the psyche is born, manifests, functions and develops should also be considered as important developmental effects.
