The article presents the results of the study of the feed additive Zeodo in experimental mycotoxicosis in chickens. The authors found that the use of Zeodo feed additive contributes to an increase in live weight gain in chickens by 7.3 %. Conditions of feeding chickens with low-toxic feed and single injection with a mixture of mycotoxins. The authors also concluded that Zeodo reduces the synergistic effects of mycotoxins and has a preventive property against mycotoxicosis. The results of the experiments on the test of Zeodo feed additive give grounds for its further production tests.

This research was carried out to investigate the fattening performance and slaughter and carcass characteristics of Hair goat and Saanen × Hair goat (G1) crossbred kids in different fattening systems. Thirty Hair goats and 30 Saanen × Hair goat (G1) crossbred singleton male kids 2.5-3 months old and weaned were used. The kids were fattened in three different systems: intensive, semi-intensive, and extensive. Marginal value analysis was applied to determine the optimum feeding periods of the kids. In order to determine the slaughter and carcass characteristics, all the kids fattened were taken to slaughter after determining their live weight at the end of the fattening. Live weight gains after the intensive, semi-intensive, and extensive fattening were 17.83 kg, 19.39 kg, and 18.29 kg in the Hair goat kids and 17.88 kg, 18.24 kg, and 17.32 kg in the Saanen × Hair goat (G1) crossbred kids, respectively. In the same order, the average concentrate feed consumed by kids for 1 kg live weight gain was 7.55 kg, 7.28 kg, 7.00 kg and 7.07 kg. Hot carcass weights after the intensive, semi-intensive, and extensive fattening were 13.58, 14.06, and 13.02 kg in the Hair goat kids and 14.21, 15.03, and 14.06 kg in the Saanen × Hair goat (G1) crossbred kids. The Saanen × Hair goat (G1) crossbred goats increased more in live weight than the Hair goat kids and the semi-intensive fattened goats increased more in live weight than the intensive and extensive fed goats. Moreover, the optimum fattening times generally varied between the groups, but not between genotypes within the group.

The results of the studies on the determination of the optimal dose of the probiotic additive “Evitalia” (PAE) for the quails of the Texas breed have been presented in the article. The experiments were conducted on the quails aged 1–35 days. The object of the research was the probiotic additive “Evitalia” that consisted of eight components (the strains of lactic acidmicroorganisms, macro- and microelements). The subject of the investigation was the influence of PAE on the growth, preservation, the morphological composition and biochemical indices of blood. The studies were carried out in the following conditions of microclimate and sanitary regime: the air temperature in the pens-cages was 16–18 ºC in the autumn and winter period that was 5–7 ºC lower than it was provided by the standard; in spring the temperature was 23–15 ºС that was lower than it was provided by the standard (29–35 ºС). The concentration of carbon dioxide ranged within 0.20–0.25 % (2.0–2.5 l/m3), ammonia – 12–13.4 mg/m3, the general contamination of the air by microflora was 50–60 thousand KOE/m3. The experiments were conducted on the four groups of quails, 60 quails in each group. The quails of the control group were fed by water without PAE, the probiotic at the dose of 7 mg/500 ml of water was given to the quails of the experimental group 1 (E-1), 9 mg of probiotic/500 ml water received the birds of the experimental group 2 (E-2) and the quails of the experimental group 3 (E-3) were given the probiotic at the dose of 11 mg/500 ml water. The positive influence of the probiotic additive “Evitalia” on the growth and the body live weight gain of the quails was observedin the experimental groups as compared to the quails of the control group. The trustworthy increase in the growth and live weight gain of the quails was detected on the 7-, 14-, 21-, 35-day of their life (Р < 0.05), especially in the quails that received PAE at the dose of 9 mg (E-2). The quails of the experimental group 2 exceeded the others by the average daily live weight gains. The growth intensity of the quails in the experimental group 2 was 6.43 % higher than that of the control one, higher by 3.47 % and 5.57 % than in the experimental groups 1 and 3, respectively. The preservation of the quails in the control group was lower by 4.8 – 5.1 % as compared to the quails in the experimental groups. By the data on the growth of the body live weight, the composition and biochemical indices of blood of the quails it can be concluded that the optimal dose of the probioticadditive “Evitalia” is 9 mg/500 ml water that activates hematopoesis and stimulates the growth and development of quails.

The reaction of the organism of broiler ducklings to the introduction of the probiotic additive "Lactobifadol" into the organism when reared up to 7 weeks of age was investigated. A positive effect was achieved to increase the live weight of the experimental poultry by 5.0 % (p <0.5), the average feed consumption per 1 kg of live weight gain in the group of broiler ducklings fed with Lactobifadol feed was 4.7 % less when compared to intact poultry. The dynamics of feed consumption per 1 kg of live weight gain in the first three weeks of rearing was descending, and from 4 weeks of age until the end of rearing, fodder consumption increased significantly. For 6 weeks of growing, the average consumption of compound feed per head per day in the control group of broiler ducklings was 157.5 g, in the experimental group – 158.5 g per 1 bird/day. The inclusion of "Lactobifadol" in the diet to a certain extent stimulates the processes of erythrocytopoiesis, providing, within the physiological norm, an increase in the level of hemoglobin and the number of leukocytes.

Scientists of the Bashkir Research Institute of Agriculture of the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences are conducting scientific research on the development of biotechnological methods for housing and feeding calves of the preweaning rearing period using probiotic drugs. The purpose of the research was to conduct scientific and economic tests of the universal microbiological starter culture of probiotic action Biolax-U for the prevention and treatment of dysbiosis in heifers and to determine its effect on the live weight gain of young animals. Experimental investigations have been conducted in two farms in the Republic of Bashkortostan, where two groups of heifers (control and experimental) of Black-and-White breed of the preweaning rearing period have been formed, selected according to the method of pairs of analogues, taking into account origin, age, live weight. The expediency of using the universal microbiological starter culture of probiotic action Biolax-U as a medicinal product in the diets of calves has been investigated. Feeding of the universal microbiological starter culture of probiotic action Biolax-U allowed us to increase the average daily gains in the live weight of young animals, to improve the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. It has been found according to the results of control weighings of heifers that the live weight of heifers of the experimental groups was higher by the end of the experiment than the control herdmates in both experiments, and in the first experiment the difference was statistically significant at P < 0,01. It has been found that the absolute gain in the live weight of animals of the experimental groups receiving Biolax-U exceeded the control herdmates in the first experiment by 8,3 kg or 10,0 %, in the second experiment by 7,6 kg or 9,9 % as the result of improving the digestive system, increasing the digestibility and availability of feed in the diet. The heifers of the experimental groups in both experiments had an advantage in terms of average daily gain. For example, in the first experiment this advantage was 93 g/day or 10,0 %, in the second experiment it was 84,4 g/day or 9,9 %.

The research (2018-2019) was conducted in the conditions of a peasant farm in the Voronezh region. The paper evaluates the indicators of the growth rate and meat productivity of the preserved gene pool groups of guinea fowl. The experiment involved three groups of daily guinea fowl of 200 heads of different genetic origin: lines of the Volga white breed (the original VB-4, selected by the rate of live weight gain and reproductive characteristics; autosex VBA-1, selected by the color of down, feather and productive characteristics) and gray-speckled guinea fowl of unknown origin. Studies have shown that the live weight of guinea fowl of the VBA-1 line exceeded the live weight of poultry from other groups of guinea fowl, a significant excess was noted at 8, 12 and 13 weeks of age. The greatest coefficient of variation of the trait was observed at 8 weeks of age. The analysis of relative gain in live weight of guinea fowl showed that up to 10 weeks of age, the highest relative growth rate of guinea fowl of all experimental groups was observed (14.0-17.0 %). Starting from the age of 11 weeks, this indicator gradually decreased (4.3-13.4 %). It was found out that under the same conditions of keeping and feeding, the feed costs per 1 kg of live weight gain in guinea fowls of the VBA-1 line were less by 0.09-0.16 kg (3.11-6.33 %) compared to poultry of the VB-4 line and by 0.2-0.4 kg (5.49-12.82 %) compared to their gray-speckled peers. The results of anatomical cutting of guinea fowl carcasses showed that the experimental groups of poultry significantly (P< 0.05) differed among themselves in the degree of development of internal organs and tissues. The yield of edible parts was 60.2-61.1 %, depending on the group of poultry. The large live weight noted by us in linear poultry is the reason for their better meat productivity, which is directly related to an increase in the absolute mass of the eviscerated carcass, its edible parts, muscles and bones. Based on the data obtained, the optimal age of poultry slaughter for meat was determined at 10-12 weeks of life.

The authors studied productivity and product quality under industrial poultry production technology. The productivity of broiler chickens of Ross-308 and Hubbard Iza-F-15 was different during floor rearing. Broiler chickens of Ross-308 outperformed Iza-F-15 chickens in body weight and average daily gain. The live weight at the slaughter of Ross-308 chickens was 2,360 g. The live weight of the chickens of Iza-F-15 was 2088 g. The conversion of feed to produce was higher in the chickens of Ross-308 cross by 0,06 kg compared with the chickens of Iza-F-15 and amounted to 1.64 kg per 1 kg of live weight gain. The survival rate was high for Ross-308 chickens (95.8%). The safety of the flock of the Izu-F-15 chickens was 2.2 per cent lower and was 93.6 per cent. Slaughter yield in the chickens cross Ross-308 is higher than in the group of chickens cross Iza-F-15. Meat quality is also better in Ross-308 chickens. Growing broiler chickens of Ross-308 cross for meat under industrial technology allowed to get more profit compared to the use of poultry of Iza-F-15 cross. At the exact cost of feed, 1 kg of live weight gain was 7.1 roubles, and per 1 head of chick was 19.1 roubles. The profitability level is also 12.6% higher for the broiler chickens of Ross-308 cross. The cumulative indicator the European productivity index is higher for chickens of Ross-308 breed, compared with chickens of Iza-F-15 breed on 56 units. This index was 341 and 285, respectively.
