Instagram, which is usually abbreviated as IG, is a photo and video sharing application that allows users to take photos, take videos, apply digital filters, and share them on various social networking services, including Instagram's own. One unique feature on Instagram is cropping photos into square shapes, so they look like the results of Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid cameras. This is different from the 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio that is commonly used by cameras on mobile devices. Instagram can be used on any iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch version with the iOS 7.0 operating system or later, any Android mobile phone with the operating system version 2.2 (Froyo) and above, and Windows Phone 8. This application can be downloaded via the Apple App Store and Google Play. On April 9, 2012, it was announced that Facebook had agreed to take over Instagram for approximately $1 billion. Instagram was first released on October 6, 2010, 11 years ago, the name Instagram Instagram comes from the understanding of the overall function of this application. The word "insta" comes from the word "instant", like the polaroid camera which at that time was better known as "instant photo". Instagram can also display photos instantly, like a polaroid in its display. As for the word "gram" comes from the word "telegram" which works to send information to others quickly. Similarly, Instagram can upload photos using the Internet, so the information you want to convey can be received quickly. That's why Instagram is an extension of the words instant and telegram. On April 9, 2012, it was announced that Instagram would be taken over by Facebook for nearly $1 billion in cash and stock. On May 11, 2016, Instagram introduced a new look as well as a new icon and new app design. Inspired by previous app icons, the new icon is a simple camera and a vivid rainbow in the form of a gradient. There are 5 sandal vendors in Indonesia that use Instagram accounts as a marketing platform, namely:

Lipases constitute as top three most important group of enzymes along with  carbohydrases and proteases, and are widely used in various industries. In particular, lipase that perform high activity at low temperatures, or referred as cold adapted lipase (CLPs) considered as attractive catalyst due to its activity at low temperature. This unique feature is the main advantage of cold adapted lipase utilization because it requires a low energy source that is correlated with lower production costs and energy. In addition, reactions occur in cold temperatures may result in better product quality. The purpose of this research was to perform screening and characterization of bacterial cold adapted lipase from seafood cold storage. Among 53 isolates, Kr_16_30, TI_37_14 and Kr_16_28 showed the highest activity with 4.12 U/mL; 3.87 U/mL and 3.21 U/mL, respectively. Isolates Kr_16_30 seemed to be typical cold adapted lipase with optimum temperature at 20°C and pH 7. Isolates Kr_16_28 performed highest lipolytic activity at 30°C while TI_37_14 suspected to be similar to typical mesophilic lipase with optimum temperature at 40°C. Species identification based on 16s rRDA sequencing revealed that isolates Kr_16 30 and Kr_16 28 are belong to genus Pseudomonas and Bacillus, repectively.

AbstractNetworks, whose junctions are free to move along the edges, such as two-dimensional soap froths and membrane tubular networks of endoplasmic reticulum are intrinsically unstable. This instability is a result of a positive tension applied to the network elements. A paradigm of networks exhibiting stable polygonal configurations in spite of the junction mobility, are networks formed by bundles of Keratin Intermediate Filaments (KIFs) in live cells. A unique feature of KIF networks is a, hypothetically, negative tension generated in the network bundles due to an exchange of material between the network and an effective reservoir of unbundled filaments. Here we analyze the structure and stability of two-dimensional networks with mobile three-way junctions subject to negative tension. First, we analytically examine a simplified case of hexagonal networks with symmetric junctions and demonstrate that, indeed, a negative tension is mandatory for the network stability. Another factor contributing to the network stability is the junction elastic resistance to deviations from the symmetric state. We derive an equation for the optimal density of such networks resulting from an interplay between the tension and the junction energy. We describe a configurational degeneration of the optimal energy state of the network. Further, we analyze by numerical simulations the energy of randomly generated networks with, generally, asymmetric junctions, and demonstrate that the global minimum of the network energy corresponds to the irregular configurations.

Certain members of the Actinobacteria and Proteobacteria are known to degrade polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Here, we describe the first functional PET-active enzymes from the Bacteroidetes phylum. Using a PETase-specific Hidden-Markov-Model- (HMM-) based search algorithm, we identified several PETase candidates from Flavobacteriaceae and Porphyromonadaceae. Among them, two promiscuous and cold-active esterases derived from Aequorivita sp. (PET27) and Kaistella jeonii (PET30) showed depolymerizing activity on polycaprolactone (PCL), amorphous PET foil and on the polyester polyurethane Impranil® DLN. PET27 is a 37.8 kDa enzyme that released an average of 174.4 nmol terephthalic acid (TPA) after 120 h at 30°C from a 7 mg PET foil platelet in a 200 μl reaction volume, 38-times more than PET30 (37.4 kDa) released under the same conditions. The crystal structure of PET30 without its C-terminal Por-domain (PET30ΔPorC) was solved at 2.1 Å and displays high structural similarity to the IsPETase. PET30 shows a Phe-Met-Tyr substrate binding motif, which seems to be a unique feature, as IsPETase, LCC and PET2 all contain Tyr-Met-Trp binding residues, while PET27 possesses a Phe-Met-Trp motif that is identical to Cut190. Microscopic analyses showed that K. jeonii cells are indeed able to bind on and colonize PET surfaces after a few days of incubation. Homologs of PET27 and PET30 were detected in metagenomes, predominantly aquatic habitats, encompassing a wide range of different global climate zones and suggesting a hitherto unknown influence of this bacterial phylum on man-made polymer degradation.

Eu3+ complexes and specially β-diketonate compounds are well known and studied in several areas due to their luminescence properties, such as sensors and lightning devices. A unique feature of the Eu3+ ion is the experimental determination of the 4f-4f intensity parameters Ωλ directly from the emission spectrum. The equations for determining Ωλ from the emission spectra are different for the detection of emitted power compared to modern equipment that detects photons per second. It is shown that the differences between Ωλ determined by misusing the equations are sizable for Ω4 (ca. 15.5%) for several Eu3+β-diketonate complexes and leads to differences of ca. 5% in the intrinsic quantum yields Q_Ln^Ln. Due to the unique features of trivalent lanthanide ions, such as the shielding of 4f-electrons, which lead to small covalency and crystal field effects, a linear correlation was observed between Ωλ obtained using the emitted power and photon counting equations. We stress that care should be exercised with the type of detection should be taken and provide the correction factors for the intensity parameters. In addition, we suggest that the integrated intensity (proportional to the areas of the emission band) and the centroid (or barycenter) of the transition for obtaining Ωλ should be determined in the properly Jacobian-transformed spectrum in wavenumbers (or energy). Due to the small widths of the emission bands of typical 4f-4f transitions, the areas and centroids of the bands do not depend on the transformation within the experimental uncertainties. These assessments are relevant because they validate previously determined Ωλ without the proper spectral transformation.

Currently, the vast majority of smart devices with LEDs are on the rise. It has been observed that the lights emitted by each LED have unique spectral characteristics. Despite the fact that there are a number of methods out there to generate fingerprints, none seem to explore the possibility of generating fingerprints using this unique feature. In this chapter, the method to perform device fingerprinting using the unique spectrum emitted from the LED lights is discussed. The generated fingerprint is then used in device pairing.

The study determined the effectiveness of Observation Response and Self-Approach (ORSA) in improving the grammatical competence of Grade 7 learners of Looc Integrated School. This study used the quasi- experimental design and pretest/ posttest questionnaire. ORSA was used as an approach to teach students grammar including WH questions, verb, and prepositions. This was limited to selected Grade 7 students with the lowest grammatical competence. The ORSA study was taken from the name of the author itself, a new way to assess students through positive assessments that explores the learner’s innate talents and skills and to reassure and to encourage the development of strength in students. It is also centered on the pedagogical approaches and emphasizes the use of positive assessment as to its unique feature in evaluating students’ performance utilizing non-threatening assessments that motivated the students to develop self-efficacy and eventually become an independent learner whose competencies acquired are internationally aligned and acceptable even during this new normal in the time of pandemic. The idea of ORSA can be anchored on Locke’s idea of reflection. Before applying the approaches, students got lower scores. After being exposed to the approaches, their mean scores increased. It can be implied that through the use of ORSA, the students think and question that they have learned through the persuasion of the teacher, they believed in themselves and in what they have learned. ORSA and K to 12, the two groups of student-participants have different levels of grammatical competence. As observed in the obtained means, students exposed to ORSA achieved higher grammatical competence as compared to students exposed to K to 12 teaching approach. This connotes that ORSA is proven effective in enhancing the grammatical competence of the students

In global oceans, ubiquitous and persistent sound scattering layers (SL) are frequently detected with echosounders. The southwest Indian Ocean has a unique feature, a region of significant upwelling known as the Seychelles-Chagos Thermocline Ridge (SCTR), which affects sea surface temperature and marine ecosystems. Despite their importance, sound SL within and beyond the SCTR are poorly understood. This study aimed to compare the characteristics of the sound SL within and beyond the SCTR in connection with environmental properties, and dominant zooplankton. To this end, the region north of the 12°S latitude in the survey area was defined as SCTR, and the region south of 12°S was defined as non-SCTR. The results indicated contrasting oceanographic properties based on the depth layers between SCTR and non-SCTR regions. Distribution dynamics of the sound SL differed between the two regions. In particular, the diel vertical migration pattern, acoustic scattering values, metrics, and positional properties of acoustic scatterers showed two distinct features. In addition, the density of zooplankton sampled was higher in SCTR than in the non-SCTR region. This is the first study to present bioacoustic and hydrographic water properties within and beyond the SCTR in the southwest Indian Ocean.

Purpose: Nowadays, image processing is a well-known technological term. In some of the industries, it has practical needs. It is an essential tool for the process and robotic industry. Various popular frameworks and libraries are available to process the image. The OpenCV is one of the best and popular libraries for image processing. It was originally written in C++ by Intel. Now various wrappers are available to implement into the different programming languages. The OpenCvSharp is the wrapper of OpenCV. Those who are familiar with C# can use it. The new researcher who wants to integrate image processing into their project takes some time for setup, function writing, and integration. Here we created a test bench application for Image processing demonstration. It has been made with some usual function to process the image. It was created using visual studio 2022 and OpenCvSharp wrapper in C# language. The researcher can learn about various image processing algorithms without writing any code or giving little bits of effort. The complete project is available on GitHub. Anyone can download, experiment, and integrate into their project without any issue. Design/Methodology/Approach: We created a GUI (Graphical User Interface) based C# application. Using Nuget Package manager, installed two OpenCV wrapper packages. To invoke several functions, we add some buttons, and for changing the method’s parameter, we integrate some text boxes. We created some abstraction layers Between the OpenCvSharp wrapper and GUI. We made our custom module as portable as possible so that our researchers could easily incorporate it into their project. Findings/result: This unique image processing test bench is designed for new researchers trying to integrate image processing capability into their research work. It can take still images or moving images through the connected webcam, automatically sending the various commands and promptly observing the result. Originality/Value: This test bench has been arranged uniquely for the researcher. It might have some value to their research work. The unique feature like automatic trigger can help them send the series of commands without repeatedly typing or pressing the button to see the result. Paper Type: Experiment-based Research
