The study determined the effectiveness of Observation Response and Self-Approach (ORSA) in improving the grammatical competence of Grade 7 learners of Looc Integrated School. This study used the quasi- experimental design and pretest/ posttest questionnaire. ORSA was used as an approach to teach students grammar including WH questions, verb, and prepositions. This was limited to selected Grade 7 students with the lowest grammatical competence. The ORSA study was taken from the name of the author itself, a new way to assess students through positive assessments that explores the learner’s innate talents and skills and to reassure and to encourage the development of strength in students. It is also centered on the pedagogical approaches and emphasizes the use of positive assessment as to its unique feature in evaluating students’ performance utilizing non-threatening assessments that motivated the students to develop self-efficacy and eventually become an independent learner whose competencies acquired are internationally aligned and acceptable even during this new normal in the time of pandemic. The idea of ORSA can be anchored on Locke’s idea of reflection. Before applying the approaches, students got lower scores. After being exposed to the approaches, their mean scores increased. It can be implied that through the use of ORSA, the students think and question that they have learned through the persuasion of the teacher, they believed in themselves and in what they have learned. ORSA and K to 12, the two groups of student-participants have different levels of grammatical competence. As observed in the obtained means, students exposed to ORSA achieved higher grammatical competence as compared to students exposed to K to 12 teaching approach. This connotes that ORSA is proven effective in enhancing the grammatical competence of the students

Background: The purpose of BLS is to maintain adequate ventilation and circulation until a means can be used to reverse the underlying cause of cardiac arrest.Worse outcomes are obtained when BLS is being done by non-trained persons. Objectives: To assess the knowledge of BLS among KIBOGORA district hospital staff and the impact of BLS training on retaining BLS skills among clinical and non-clinical KIBOGORA hospital staff. Materials and Methods: This pilot study was conducted in KIBOGORA hospital. A pre training test was given to every participant and after the training, a posttest was given to all participants. Before completing the pretest questionnaire, each participant had to choose a code made of at least 2 characters and the same code had to appear on the posttest questionnaire of the same participant. A grading system was used to categorize the level of participants’ knowledge on BLS skills. Results: Among 196 trained staff, 40 completed the pre training questionnaire .82.50 % of the subjects that completed the pre training questionnaire were clinical staff whereas 17.50% were non clinical staff. 54.55% and 33.33% of the clinical staff had respectively poor and fair knowledge on Basic Life Support (BLS) and only 6.06% were good at BLS however none of clinical staff was very good or excellent on BLS. All of the non-clinical staff that participated in the study had either a poor or fair knowledge on BLS. After the training, both clinical and non-clinical staff that completed the pre-training questionnaire, completed the post training questionnaire.30.30% of clinical staff that completed the questionnaire were good on BLS.The number of participants with an average or fair knowledge on BLSwere 27.27% in each category. 6.06% and 3.03% were excellent or very good on Basic Life Support. On the other hand, 42.86% and 28.57% of non-clinical staff had respectively poor and fair knowledge on BLS. Conclusion: After the training, knowledge on BLS improved both for clinical and non-clinical staff however more refresher courses are needed to reduce the gap seen in theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills

This work supports a critical construction of generic identities in literary education for adolescents. One objective is the recognition of femininity, masculinity, love, and sexuality as cultural constructions that facilitate the development of gender models and loving and sexual behaviours as free and reflective as possible. A second objective is the identification of examples of the ‘total woman’ trap (double work) and its consequences. A third objective is to show the link betweenthe type of relationship established and the self-esteem and power of the participants. After the theoretical introduction, we present a proposal for a reading club for final year secondary school students with three novels that reflect these topics and issues and a pretest-posttest questionnaire (following a quasi-experimental design) for students to answer before and after implementation to assess development of the objectives.

Background: Pretest-posttest questionnaire are often used during workshop to assess the impact of a program on the participants. However, the reliability of such data collection ‘tool’ is not often judged. There is lack of evidence supporting the authentication of such research instrument. Aims and Objective: This study was conducted to assess the reliability of prepost test questionnaire comprising MCQs, on participants attending a one-day workshop on clinical pharmacology at a teaching hospital in eastern India. Materials and Methods: Pre and post test questionnaire comprising 15 MCQs covering different aspects of ‘Good Clinical Practices’ on which several presentations were later delivered by experts were distributed to (n=42) participants in a one-day oriented workshop within stipulated time period and their feedback were collected and statistically analyzed after the workshop was over. Results: The average number of MCQs attempted in the pretest questionnaire was 12.42 and in posttest were 14.44 by the participants. The workshop participants increased their percentage of correct answer score from an average of 48.4 in pretest to a statistically significant 88.73 in posttest (p<0.0001). Conclusion: Pre/post questionnaire could be effective and reliable tools in meeting stipulated learning objectives and help in assessing the aftermath of an educational program.
