One-thousand-one-hundred-and-ninety-one school counselors completed an online survey regarding advocacy for and with gender minority students comprising transgender and intersex students (school counselor gender minority advocacy competence). School counselors completed a battery of three competency-based assessments to assess their levels of gender identity counselor competence, intersex counselor competence, and school counselor gender minority advocacy competence. They also completed a demographic form so that competency levels could be examined with demographic variables. Attitudes, school level placement, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity counselor competence, and intersex counselor competence were significantly related to advocacy for and with gender minority students. These findings have implications for the application of identity behavior theory to examine the experiences and behaviors of minoritized individuals and those who advocate for them. These advocates include school counselors and other helping professionals who work with gender minority students.

This research aimed to determine the level of difficulty of the Supervising Teacher in Mastering the Concept and Praxis of Assessment to Understand the Conditions, Needs, and Problems of the Counselee. This research used survey research methods with descriptive quantitative research. The population of the research was 160 guidance and counseling teachers who were taken by using proportional sampling techniques from each regional representative, so that 50 teachers of guidance and counseling were obtained. The data collection is collected through understanding tests. The data analysis is used descriptive quantitative analysis. The results of the study showed that the Level of Teacher Difficulties in Mastering the Concept and Praxis of Assessment to Understand the Conditions, Needs, and Problems of the counselees in the very low category with a percentage of 44%. This is supported by the results of the respondents' justification analysis that the level of understanding of the concepts and assessment praxis in guidance and counseling teachers in schools is in the moderate category with only 16%. This study assess the psychometric properties of the Counselor Competence Gender Identity Scale (CCGIS), a competency-based assessment that measures the effectiveness of counselors to provide services to gender minorities. Exploratory factor analysis retained 25 items which formed four subscales. The CCGIS also discriminated between different groups of school counselors.

School counselors completed three competency-based assessments to assess their levels of gender identity counselor competence, intersex counselor competence, and school counselor TI advocacy competence. Further, in light of Identity Behavior Theory, they completed a demographic form so that competency levels could be examined with demographic variables. Attitudes, school level, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity counselor competence, and intersex counselor competence were significantly related to advocacy for and with TI students. These findings have implications for training practices and future research with school counselors and genderqueer students whose experiences vary from those of TI students.

<p><em>Counselor competence is the ability (knowledge, skills and attitudes) that must be possessed by someone to help others who have problems, so that the problems faced are resolved. It becomes very important if a prospective class teacher in MI / SD must be able to have this competency. This research focuses on the study of increasing counselor competence for prospective class teachers in MI and Elementary Schools in the era of the industrial revolution era 4.0 which is carried out by universities that carry out basic education programs. This study uses a literature-based research method, which is conducted by studying and exploring various theories and practices through literature ranging from scientific journals, books, as well as various data and facts. The results of this study indicate that the Directorate of Islamic Education at the Ministry of Religion has presented all competencies that must be achieved by prospective class teachers. Managerial competence and general skills that must be possessed by prospective teachers in MI / SD classes are in accordance with the needs of a teacher in the era of the industrial revolution era 4.0, namely counselor competence, so that prospective teachers of MI / SD classes from Islamic tertiary institutions can be said to be able to become suitable class teachers with the industrial revolution era 4.0.</em></p>

The study ascertained the availability and adequacy of trained guidance counsellors in south-western Nigerian universities. It also investigated the common crises in the universities; determined and examined the level of counsellors’ competence in managing crises in South-western universities. These were with a view to providing information on some factors that could influence crises management in the universities by universities guidance counsellors. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The population for the study comprised all guidance counsellors in southwestern Nigerian Universities. The sample size comprised 128 respondents in southwestern universities and three states (Osun, Oyo and Ogun) were also selected from six states (Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ekiti, Ondo and Lagos) in southwest Nigeria using simple random sampling technique. Two instruments were used to elicited information for the study, namely: Checklist of Availability & Adequacy of Counsellors (CAAC) and Counsellors’ Competence Scale (CCS) Data collected were analyzed using percentage, chis-square and multiple regressions. The result showed that the availability and adequacy of trained guidance counsellors in Southwestern Nigeria universities were not adequate, federal 27(93.1%) state 19(100.0%) and private 35(97.2%). The result also revealed common crises in the southwestern Nigerian universities showing truancy has the commonest crisis in the school with 3(4.0%), followed by drug abuse 9(10.9%) , cultism is the third one 9(10.9%)and so on. Furthermore, the result of this study showed how competent school counselors are, with federal universities having the most competent counselors 8(27.6%), followed by state university with 4(21.0%) and private university with 7(19.4%). The result showed the difference in the competence of the universities counsellor based on the institutions F-ratio (F = 3.409 and Sig = 0.035), the difference in the competence of the universities counsellor based on the institutions is significant at p < 0.05.It was concluded that counselor competence had significant relationship with school crises management.

Personality counselor competence in the implementation of guidance and counseling, one of them in group guidance services are needed to be a competent counselor. It will continue to increase, in line with the development of counseling, especially to foster enthusiasm and be one of the reasons that students have an interest in participating in group counseling services. Attention plays a significant role in the lives of students and has a tremendous impact on attitudes and behavior. Through the provision of group guidance services, students are directed to participate in group discussion activities and function to prioritize the development of communication and socialization skills.

<em>Industrial Revolution 4.0 provides changes in digitalization and automation for various sectors in Indonesia. These changes have an impact on the Guidance and Counseling profession can be replaced by the role of robots and online counseling. This study will discuss how the Guidance and Counseling profession responds to the challenges by strengthening the competency of counselors through the analysis of Hanoman's character values as the character of indigenous counselors. Hanoman is a puppet character who has a face and body shape that resembles an ape but has a kind heart, is willing to sacrifice and responsibility. The developed Hanoman character is empathy, unconditional acceptance, dynamic, genuine, real self to be one step to strengthen the competence of indigenous counselors in the era of the industrial revolution. This strengthening aims to provide a unique Indonesian character in competing with the changes that occur.</em>
