Scholarship recipient students have more demands and responsibilities than non-scholarship students. The demands of lectures can put pressure on students that can trigger psychological distress. Each individual is different in assessing the stress experienced depending on the personality. The research instrument used the NEO Five-Factor Inventory-3 scale and the Hopkins Symptom Checklist-25 scale (HSCL-25). The results of the comparison test show that there is no difference between recipients and non-scholarship recipients. The results of the correlation test show that there is a significant positive relationship between neuroticism and psychological distress, while extraversion and conscientiousness have a significant negative relationship with psychological distress. However, there is no significant relationship between openness to experience and agreeableness to psychological distress.

The internationalization and internationalization of higher education is one of the most actual topics related to education today. The number of foreign students in major higher education institutions is increasing, and international collaborations in the field of education and research are becoming more frequent. However, despite the fact that the topic is so tangible in proximity, we still know a small fragment about the process of internationalization of higher education, the factors that support and hinder the phenomenon. The theoretical significance of the present study is the analysis of the revealed literature and statistical data, while the practical significance is the comparative study of the research carried out in the international context depending on the number of FAO scholarship students coming to Hungary from African countries. Examining the territorial location of the sending countries within Africa, the question arises as to why these countries send students to developed countries, in this case Hungary. Is there a correlation between certain macroeconomic indicators and the mobility tendencies or territorial orientation of students who have received an FAO scholarship?

In Physical Education, there is a discussion about the theory and practice dichotomy, and how much one provides support to the other to obtain legitimacy. This leads to thinking about the training of the new professionals in the area. In the training environment, there are theoretical subjects, which seem to be far from a reality outside of the university. This causes a misinterpretation of the real situation of education. The aim of this study was to verify the perception of the scholarship students about the extension Project “The insertion of the university in soccer” regarding the dimension theory and practice in the Physical Education training. It was conducted qualitative research, with a qualitative approach, and composed of five scholarship students from the extension project. The data were collected through an open questionnaire, applied to the students, and analyzed with the theoretical framework searching for the results. The data analysis indicates the tension maintenance between theory and practice, which the first one concentrates on the setting of a conceptual framework far from the practice conceived as a limited “experience of yourself” during an educational activity. However, the extensionists practices allowed to widen the knowledge of the professional expertise and, paradoxically, the application of the theories learned in the academic environment.

Free school is the hope of all parents. In fact free school is not really free. Teachers are still paid, uniforms and books are still purchased, activities still require funds, and even building rentals are not free. At the beginning of its establishment, SMP Juara Bandung made its education services free for all its students, because it received financial support from its main donor, namely the National Amil Zakat Institution (Laznas) Rumah Zakat. Because the implementation of 19 sekolah juara throughout Indonesia is a permanent burden for Rumah Zakat and this is operationally challenging, the transformation of sekolah juara is needed to realize sustainable education for SMP Juara Bandung. The transformation takes a social enterprise approach which generally consists of three qualifications, namely embedded, integrated, and external. SMP Juara Bandung applies the first qualification in the implementation of its social enterprise, namely the social enterprise qualification embedded in the form of cross-subsidies between paid general students and free scholarship students from the poor. This study aims to dig deeper into the key to the successful implementation of social enterprises at SMP Juara Bandung, the obstacles faced, the challenges after implementation, and the steps to duplicate the success of the implementation. This research is a descriptive type using a case study approach, so that a lot of information and data are obtained to answer the research objectives above. The results of the study stated that the implementation of social enterprises at SMP Juara Bandung was successful and could be duplicated in similar schools that would carry out the transformation to maintain sustainable education in their schools.

This research sought to analyze the relationship between the scholarship modalities and the academic performance of undergraduate students in the business area. Based on the literature, two hypotheses were formulated: (i) students who receive academic scholarships have better academic performance in relation to those who do not receive them and (ii) the modalities of academic scholarships have a positive relationship with academic performance. Data from the 2018 National Student Performance Exam were used, resulting in a sample of 83,003 observations. The results of Welch’s t-tests indicated that scholarship students have better academic performance than non-scholarship students and the regression models pointed out that the scholarship modality is positively associated with student performance. Therefore, both hypotheses were supported. This evidence suggests that the educational policies related to the awarding of academic scholarships within the scope of undergraduate programs in the business area are relevant and that the entities can continuously improve these policies, especially when there are changes in the social and economic contexts. However, the values of the scholarships were not examined, but only their grant and modality, opening space for investigations, especially in times of budget constraint, as caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
