PENYULUHAN DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE (DBD) KEPADA PELAJAR-PELAJAR DI PERGURUAN KRISTEN METHODIST-2 RANTAUPRAPAT

Abstrak Penyakit demam berdarah merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan di Kota Medan yang cenderung menimbulkan kekhawatiran masyarakat karena perjalanan penyakitnya cepat dan dapat menyebabkan kematian dalam waktu yang singkat. Penyakit demam berdarah adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus dengue. Virus ini ditularkan melalui vector nyamuk. Pendekatan pemberantasan demam berdarah yang berwawasan kepedulian masyarakat merupakan salah satu alternatif pendekatan baru dalam rangka pengendalian penyebaran penyakit ini. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan penjelasan kepada pelajar-pelajar yang diharapkan dapat menjadi agent of change di lingkungannya dalam pemberantasan penyakit DBD ini. Metode kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk penyuluah, tanya jawab dan games. Kegiatan ini dinilai cukup berhasil. Indikator keberhasilannya adalah berdasarkan antusiasme peserta untuk bertanya dan feedback dari peserta yang menyatakan penyuluhan ini dinilai menarik dan bermanfaat. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah melalui keilmuan yang dimiliki dapat digunakan untuk membantu memberikan pemahaman mengenai penyakit-penyakit kepada masyarakat, yang pada akhirnya dapat mendorong partisipasi masyarakat dalam pencegahan penularan dan pertambahan kasus-kasus penyakit tertentu di masyarakat Abstract Dengue fever is one of the health problems in Medan City which tends to cause public concern because the disease progresses quickly and can cause death in a short time. Dengue fever is a disease caused by the dengue virus. This virus is transmitted by mosquito vectors. The approach to eradicating dengue fever with a public concern is an alternative to a new approach to control the spread of this disease. The purpose of this activity is to provide explanations to students who are expected to become agents of change in their environment in eradicating this dengue disease. This activity method was carried out in the form of counseling, question and answer and games. This activity was considered quite successful. The success indicator was based on the enthusiasm of the participants to asked questions and feedback from the participants who stated that this counseling was considered interesting and useful. The conclusion of this activity was that through the knowledge that is owned it can be used to help provide an understanding of diseases to the community, which in turn can encourage community participation in preventing the transmission of certain diseases in the community.

PEMBERDAYAAN USAHA MIKRO ABON LELE

The development of MSMEs in North Sumatra is quite good, namely around 2.8 million business units, and has contributed quite well to economic growth in North Sumatra and Medan in particular. MSMEs in the city of Medan are not seen as an alternative, but have become the backbone or foundation of the economy in Medan. There are 3 (three) things that must be considered and improved to strengthen the foundations of MSMEs, namely, finance, increase in human resources, and innovation in marketing models. The Yoppie Belawan Community is one of the home industries in Medan Belawan District. Precisely on Jalan Selebes Belawan II, Medan Kota Belawan, North Sumatra 20411. Since the beginning of 2020, the Yoppie Belawan Community started a catfish farming business. In April 2020, this community decided to process catfish meat into something more valuable and able to help this community increase their income and welfare during the current pandemic. After going through various considerations, it was decided to process catfish meat into Shredded Catfish with the IndoFish Shredded Catfish brand.

PENULARAN DAN PENCEGAHAN COVID-19 DI KALANGAN SISWA SMA SANTA MARIA MEDAN

Abstrak Coronavirus adalah keluarga besar virus yang menyebabkan penyakit mulai dari gejala ringan sampai berat. Penambahan jumlah kasus COVID-19 berlangsung cukup cepat dan sudah terjadi penyebaran antar negara. Berdasarkan bukti ilmiah, COVID-19 dapat menular dari manusia ke manusia melalui percikan batuk/bersin (droplet), tidak melalui udara. Rekomendasi standar untuk mencegah penyebaran infeksi adalah melalui cuci tangan secara teratur menggunakan sabun dan air bersih, menerapkan etika batuk dan bersin, menghindari kontak secara langsung dengan ternak dan hewan liar serta menghindari kontak dekat dengan siapapun yang menunjukkan gejala penyakit pernapasan seperti batuk dan bersin. Pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa penyuluhan yang bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi dan pengetahuan yang benar mengenai COVID-19, penularan dan pencegahannya kepada para pelajar di SMA Swasta Santa Maria Medan sehingga diharapkan akan membantu dalam memutuskan mata rantai penularan COVID-19 yang semakin meraja lela. Abstract Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from mild to severe symptoms. The increase in the number of COVID-19 cases is happening fast enough and there has been a spread between countries. Based on scientific evidence, COVID-19 can be transmitted from human to human through droplets, not through the air. Standard recommendations for preventing the spread of infection are regular hand washing with soap and clean water, practicing coughing and sneezing, avoiding direct contact with livestock and wild animals and avoiding close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing. This community service is in the form of counseling that aims to provide correct information and knowledge about COVID-19, its transmission and prevention to students at Santa Maria Medan Private High School so it is hoped that it will help in breaking the chain of COVID-19 transmission which is increasingly rampant.

PENCEGAHAN COVID-19 PADA PEMUDA GBIS KRISTUS PENGHARAPAN MEDAN

Covid-19 is still a pandemic, and showing an increase globally. Government policies are needed to assist youth in coping with this disaster by implementing effective measures. Thus, counseling is needed for youth to increase knowledge, know how to protect oneself, protect themselves and others in order to achieve preparedness against this disaster. This Community Service in the form of an outreach entitled "Prevention of Covid-19 on the Youth of GBIS Christ Hope Medan" was carried out online through the zoom cloud meetings application. Participants of the counseling were 23 GBIS Christ Hope Medan Youths. The technical implementation of this community service consists of opening by the MC, counseling, video playback, presenting posters, demonstrating how to wash hands and wearing masks, as well as a QA session, and finally participants filling out feedback via google form. Participants were very enthusiastic and interested in this extension, this can be seen from the feedback given by extension participants via google form. Most of the extension participants thought this counseling went very well (68.75%), and all participants agreed that this extension was very useful for them, because they got more knowledge about prevention, especially by washing hands properly, and increased endurance. The first conclusion is that the topic of counseling presented is in accordance with the needs of the extension participants, because Covid-19 is still a disease that has caused a pandemic with a high mortality rate until now. Second, it can invite young people to be able to further improve personal and environmental hygiene and a healthy lifestyle in reducing Covid-19 transmission and implement health protocols issued by the government to tackle the spread of Covid-19.

PENYULUHAN PENCEGAHAN PENYAKIT DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE (DBD) PADA SISWA/i DI SMA NEGERI 1 PANGARIBUAN MEDAN

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is still a disease that is feared especially in the tropical countries including Indonesia. Continuous efforts are needed in terms of preventing dengue hemorrhagic fever. The purpose of this activity is to provide an explanation of various ways to prevent dengue hemorrhagic fever and at the same time provide an opportunity for students to act as ambassadors for the environment. The method of this activity is in the form of community counseling. This counseling was considered quite successful, seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in asking questions about DHF. It can be concluded that this outreach activity is very useful in increasing knowledge and community participation in the prevention of dengue hemorrhagic fever.

PENYULUHAN PENCEGAHAN PENYAKIT DEMAM TIFOID PADA SISWA-SISWI DI SMAS SANTA LUSIA KECAMATAN PERCUT SEI TUAN KABUPATEN DELI SERDANG

Typhoid fever is an infectious disease caused by Salmonella tyhphii bacteria. Typhoid fever is transmitted through the faecal orally when food or drink is contaminated with Salmonella tyhphii bacteria due to lack of hygiene of food or drinks. Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is very important to prevent the transmission of typhoid fever. This counseling aims to provide education about typhoid fever, including how to prevent the transmission of typhoid fever. This counseling was given to students of class XI Santa Lusia Senior High School, Percut Sei Tuan District. Outreach is provided through presentation, question and answer and online feedback. Feedback shows that participants can receive the information given well.

KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR MENUJU PEMBELAJAR YANG BAHAGIA

The spread of COVID 19 throughout the world, especially in Indonesia has changed the way how people live. Some significant changes including medical, education, economy, and social relations. The use of technology and the internet are necessity for people in adapting to the corona viruses’ impact. Indonesia’s government has issued policy to learn from home, so that the face of education in this country has changed significantly. Learning is no longer done in schools building because learning can be done anywhere, anytime, with unlimited learning resources in internet. However, this flexibility in learning has not been supported by the learner readiness in many level of education, including in higher education. There are complaints from student related to the distance learning system. Psychology programs are needed in order to improve students' soft skills in managing their learning to be a self-regulated learner, so that they can manage the obstacles they face, and be happy in undergoing the distance learning process.

PELATIHAN MUSIK DAN ORGAN GEREJA HKBP DI HUMBANG HABINSARAN SIBORONG-BORONG

Pelatihan Musik gereja dan Organ Gereja HKBP di Humbang Habinsaran Siborong-borong adalah salah satu tujuan untuk membantu tim musik dalam pelayanan ibadah di gereja HKBP. Metode dasar yang akan diterapkan di dalam pengabdian masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah metode deskriptif. Selain itu metode pendekatan yang dilakukan metode pelatihan skill/kemahiran untuk teknik bermain musik dan organ, sehingga dihasilkan teknik bermain musik yang baik dan benar. Metode pendampingan dan pengajaran bermain musik dan organ baik secara individu dan kolektif bagi tim musik dengan tujuan agar dapat menumbuhkan rasa kepercayaan diri, seperti tidak canggung, malu, minder akan kekurangan yang dimiliki, sehingga kegiatan bermain musik dapat dilakukan dengan senang hati. Pelaksanaan proses kegiatan pelatihan musik dan organ gereja ini dilakukan dengan metode pengajaran baik secara lisan maupun teori, yang diterapkan melalui metode pendidikan, pelatihan dan pendampingan. Melalui metode pengajaran baik secara lisan, teori dan praktek (demonstrasi) dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini dinilai cukup berhasil. Indikator keberhasilan dapat dilihat dan dievaluasi melalui pertunjukan kecil yang dilakukan secara bersama oleh tim musik dengan song lieder dalam kegiatan terakhir yang dilakukan pada pelatihan.
