The Contributions of Competitions to Cities and Urban Design

Competitions are a significant means of focusing on specific spaces in cities and forming public opinion. Competitions result in many professionals such as architectures, urban planners, urban designers, landscape architects, civil engineers, etc. proposing lots of designs for the same space, and thereby submitting various solution offers for it. Therefore, competitions are important not only for their results, but also for increasing knowledge about the occupational groups of design and the shaping of urban open spaces and built environments, in other words, cities. This study analyzes competitions’ contributions to urban design based on the experience of Merzifon Municipality’s Business and Life Center Architectural Project Competition. The discipline of urban design, which plays an important role in forming the urban open spaces and built environments, is enriched by competitions. The approaches developed in the projects that compete for the urban spaces focused on the competitions play an important role in shaping cities.

Increasing Knowledge Of Electric Hazards And Their Mitigation For Residents Of The Rw 15, Ciwaruga Village, Parongpong District, West Bandung

Electricity is needed by the community because it is easily converted into other forms of energy. Electricity is very useful but at the same time dangerous for humans if they do not have the knowledge, understanding and skills about it. This training was carried out with the aim of providing knowledge about electrical hazards and skills in electrical installation for residents of RW 15, Ciwaruga Village, Parongpong District. With the materials and methods and approaches applied, the training can run smoothly and work well. This success is shown by the active participation and high enthusiasm of the participants during the training and the high level of absorption of the training materials delivered. This is reflected in the increase in knowledge and skills in terms of making good installations as indicated by the increase in the value of the final test results (posttest). In addition, this paper can also be used as a reference for parties who will carry out similar or other activities related to electrical installations.

The Places of Memory of Ukrainian Diplomacy project as an encyclopedic work

The article is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and foreign countries. On this occasion, cultural and scientific events took place during 2017-2021. Contacts between figures of science and culture of Ukraine and others were promoted with these events. And another profit from them is the study of various issues increasing knowledge about the history of Ukrainian diplomacy. One of the elements of this process was the symbolic marking with memorial plaques in other countries, which make Ukraine’s historical diplomatic ties with them. Team work aimed to study the symbolic marks of Ukrainian diplomacy has contributed to the accumulation of a lot of important information. That’s why the idea appeared to build the encyclopedic work – Places of Memory of Ukrainian Diplomacy (currently being compiled). This article describes the significance of this encyclopedic dictionary in the context of covering the history of Ukrainian diplomacy, in particular showing the formation of close diplomatic relations with other states, which took place during the turbulent period of 1917-1921.

LEGAL EDUCATION ON THE TEACHER'S PROFESSION IN APPLY CONFLICT MANAGEMENT

The fact that occurs as a form of disciplining students so that they are more disciplined gets a dilemma with accusations of violence against students where parents do not directly compromise or solve problems but directly report to the police where the teacher is always the victim and the object of the sufferer. it is very ironic that the existence of a teacher as a hero without merit and from a science teacher is very weak. On the one hand, it must realize the goals of national education, on the other hand, in carrying out its authority it is considered to violate the law. This activity involved partners from the Semarang Regency Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Office. The problems faced by the first partner, Has the teaching profession in the district have implemented conflict management as a form of legal protection for the second teaching profession, What is the impact of conflict management legal counseling on the teaching profession in Semarang Regency. in handling and resolving conflicts The implementation of community service activities is carried out using a participatory approach method. meaning that the participants are required to actively participate during the activity. From the results of the first community service activities, the teaching profession in Semarang district does not understand conflict management as a legal protection in applying discipline to students so as not to have an impact on legal issues, secondly seeing the pre-test and post-test conducted on 36 participants marked by indicators of increasing knowledge participants on how to resolve conflicts between the teaching profession and students, as well as increasing knowledge about the application of the Law

THE INCREASING KNOWLEDGE ABOUT PERSONAL HYGIENE IN ODGJ (PEOPLE WITH MENTAL DISORDERS) IN THE KUTOREJO DISTRICT MOJOKERTO

Community Service Activities organized by the Dian Husada Nursing Academy in collaboration with Al Hidayah Kutorejo Mojokerto shelter house held health counseling with participants of all ODGJ patients (People with Mental Disorders) with the theme “Increasing Public Knowledge About Personal Hygiene in ODGJ (People With Mental Disorders)”. Health counseling will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at the Al Hidayah Kutorejo Mojokerto shelter. This activity was carried out in a team consisting of two Akper Dian Husada lecturers, 2 students, and a team from the AL Hidayah Kutorejo Mojokerto shelter. The activity was arranged by the team for two weeks, starting from determining the theme of the activity, the form of the activity, the timing of the activity, and first socializing the activity to ODGJ patients. This activity was witnessed by all patients with ODGJ (People with Mental Disorders). The form of evaluation of this community service activity that went smoothly was the enthusiasm of ODGJ patients (People with Mental Disorders) in participating in the activity by asking questions about personal hygiene to the presenter.

A Tale of Two Hierarchies: Interactive Effects of Power Differentiation and Status Differentiation on Team Performance

Scholars have long wrestled with whether hierarchical differentiation is functional or dysfunctional for teams. Building on emerging research that emphasizes the distinction between power (i.e., control over resources) and status (i.e., respect from others), we aim to help reconcile the functional and dysfunctional accounts of hierarchy by examining the effects of power differentiation on team performance, contingent on status differentiation. We theorize that power differentiation is dysfunctional for teams with high status differentiation by increasing knowledge hiding, which undermines team performance. In contrast, we predict that power differentiation is functional for teams with low status differentiation by decreasing knowledge hiding, which improves team performance. In a field study, we found that power differentiation harmed team performance via knowledge hiding in teams with high status differentiation, but power differentiation had no effect on knowledge hiding or performance in teams with low status differentiation. In an experiment, we again found that power differentiation harmed team performance by increasing knowledge hiding in teams with high status differentiation. However, power differentiation improved team performance by decreasing knowledge hiding in teams with status equality. Finally, in a third study, we confirm the role of status differentiation in making team climates more competitive and examine the effect of power-status alignment within teams, finding that misalignment exacerbates the dysfunctional effects of power differentiation in teams with high status differentiation. By examining how power and status hierarchies operate in tandem, this work underscores the need to take a more nuanced approach to studying hierarchy in teams.

Pendidikan Kesehatan Gigi Berbasis Alat Peraga Untuk Meningkatkan Peranan Guru TK Dalam Pencegahan Karies Gigi

ABSTRAK Masalah kesehatan gigi yang sering terjadi pada anak usia sekolah yaitu karies. Kurangnya pengetahuan mengenai kesehatan gigi menyebabkan tingginya angka karies pada anak. Anak pada usia sekolah cenderung akan mencontoh perilaku gurunya, sehingga guru dapat berperan dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan kesehatan gigi pada anak usia sekolah. Pada masa pandemi ini, terdapat keterbatasan dalam memberikan edukasi secara langsung di lingkungan sekolah. Tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu dengan pemberian edukasi kepada guru mengenai kesehatan gigi, sehingga dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan para guru dan diharapkan para guru dapat menjadi penggerak dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai kesehatan gigi pada anak usia sekolah. Metode penyuluhan dilakukan dengan pemberian materi dalam bentuk presentasi power point secara daring melalui aplikasi zoom dan penggunaan alat peraga kesehatan gigi. Hasil penyuluhan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai kesehatan gigi. Setelah dilakukan penyuluhan dengan metode ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat peraga dianggap efektif dalam membantu keberhasilan pendidikan kesehatan gigi serta meningkatkan pemahaman dan antusias para guru TK. Lack of knowledge about dental health causes high caries rates in children. Children at school age tend to imitate the behavior of their teachers so that teachers play a role in increasing knowledge of dental health in school-age children. During this pandemic, there are limitations to providing education directly in the school environment. The aim of this activity is to provide education to teachers about dental health. So that it can increase the knowledge of teachers and it is hoped that teachers can be a pioneer in increasing knowledge about dental health in school-age children. The method was carried out by providing material in the form of an online powerpoint presentation through zoom application and the use of dental health teaching aids. The result of this activity showed an increase in knowledge about dental health. After conducting counseling, it can be concluded that the use of teaching aids is effective in contributing to the success of dental health education and increasing the understanding and enthusiasm of kindergarten teachers. Pengaruh media AR Book terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap gizi seimbang pada anak usia sekolah

Stunting in school-age children is still a problem in Indonesia, including chronic malnutrition. One of the causes is the lack of good knowledge about balanced nutrition. Increasing knowledge of balanced nutrition in school-age children can use AR Books, and students are exposed to real objects that are studied. This study aims to determine the provision of AR Book media to increase knowledge and attitudes of balanced nutrition for school-age children. The research design used Quasy Experimental through a pre-post test control group design. The sample size is 65 students, 27 students in the intervention group and 38 students in the control group. Measurements of pre-test and post-test were carried out in each group, with a duration of up to two weeks. Data analysis used Paired Sample T-Test, Wilcoxon, Independent T-test, and Mann Whitney. The results showed an increase in the average score of nutritional knowledge in the intervention group using AR Book by 77,8, and attitudes about nutrition also increased by 92,0. The provision of AR Book media affects increasing knowledge of balanced nutrition (p= 0,0001) and balanced nutrition attitudes (p= 0,001). In conclusion, the AR Book media on balanced nutrition is one of the alternative educational media that can be used to increase knowledge and attitudes of balanced nutrition in elementary school-aged children

MANAJEMEN KEUANGAN DAN PEMASARAN DARING EFEKTIF, STRATEGI BANGKITKAN KEMBALI PEREKONOMIAN PAGUYUBAN UMKM BATIK JETIS SIDOARJO

Kampoeng Batik Jetis Sidoarjo has existed since 1,675 with the character of Sidoarjo's traditional hand-drawn batik which until now has been well preserved. It is named Kampoeng Batik Tulis because the majority of residents of Jetis sub-district, Sidoarjo sub-district are batik makers. During the economic crisis of the COVID-19, the efforts of SMEs in the Jetis Batik Community in developing business are not easy. Limited capital and uncertain market share are difficult problems for SMEs to deal with. The ability to manage the finances of SMEs business is very necessary for business performance and business continuity to anticipate the impact of the economic crisis. In addition, the SMEs of the Jetis Batik Community have always relied on outlet stores to market their products, resulting in a drastic drop in turnover due to social restrictions. This program is prepared to meet the need for increasing scientific knowledge and expertise that can support business continuity, especially SMEs, as well as increasing productivity and business profits that are run in the long term. This activity program will present professional speakers in related fields using knowledge sharing methods through lecture techniques, discussions, and mentoring practices in making management systems for operating business accounting records, business financial management, and marketing techniques for SMEs products. The target participants for this training are members of the UMKM of Batik Jetis, Sidoarjo Regency, who need special handling so that they can immediately rise from adversity, especially due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic economic crisis. This program is carried out in the form of training and mentoring activities for a total period of 6 months. There are several outcomes result from this activity, including increasing knowledge and insight in the field of operational management of business accounting records; increasing knowledge and insight in the field of business financial management; increasing ability and insight in the field of creative ideas in marketing SMEs products; increasing knowledge and insight in the field of online marketing techniques for SME products; increasing knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship; and improving the skills of members of the UMKM Batik Jetis.Keywords: Crisis, Economic, financial, MarketingAbstrakKampoeng Batik Jetis Sidoarjo telah eksis sejak tahun 1.675 dengan karakter batik tulis tradisional Sidoarjo yang hingga kini terpelihara dengan baik. Keterbatasan modal dan pangsa pasar yang tidak menentu menjadi masalah yang sulit dihadapi oleh UMKM. Kemampuan mengelola keuangan pelaku usaha UMKM sangat diperlukan untuk kinerja usaha dan keberlangsungan usaha untuk mengantisipasi dampak krisis ekonomi. Ditambah lagi para pelaku UMKM Paguyuban Batik Jetis selama ini selalu mengandalkan toko outlet untuk memasarkan produk menjadikan omzet menjadi turun drastis akibat pembatasan sosial. Program ini disiapkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan akan peningkatan wawasan keilmuan dan keahlian yang dapat mendukung keberlangsungan usaha, terutama UMKM, serta peningkatan produktivitas dan keuntungan usaha yang dijalankan dalam jangka panjang. Program kegiatan ini akan menghadirkan pembicara-pembicara yang profesional di bidang terkait dengan menggunakan metode sharing knowledge melalui teknik ceramah, diskusi, dan praktik pendampingan pembuatan sistem manajemen pengelolaan operasional pencatatan akuntansi usaha, pengelolaan keuangan usaha, dan teknik pemasaran produk UMKM. Target peserta pelatihan ini adalah anggota UMKM Paguyuban Batik Jetis Kabupaten Sidoarjo, yang membutuhkan penanganan khusus agar dapat segera bangkit dari keterpurukan khususnya akibat dampak krisis ekonomi pandemi Covid-19. Program ini dilakukan dalam bentuk kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan selama kurun waktu total 6 bulan. Adapun beberapa luaran yang akan dihasilkan dari kegiatan ini, antara lain peningkatan pengetahuan dan wawasan di bidang pengelolaan operasional pencatatan akuntansi usaha; peningkatan pengetahuan dan wawasan di bidang pengelolaan keuangan usaha; peningkatan kemampuan dan wawasan di bidang ide kreatif dalam memasarkan produk UMKM; peningkatan pengetahuan dan wawasan di bidang teknik pemasaran produk UMKM secara daring; peningkatan pengetahuan dan wawasan di bidang kewirausahaan; dan peningkatan keterampilan anggota UMKM Paguyuban Batik Jetis.Kata Kunci: Krisis, Ekonomi, Keuangan, Pemasaran
