This article was written to describe the theological understanding of work among church youth and motivate youth to work according to God's word from Ephesians 6:5-8. This article aims to provide an understanding of what the purpose of human work is, provide an understanding of the Biblical concept of work, deepen the knowledge and understanding of congregation members about work theology according to Ephesians 6:5-8 with integrity and a good work ethic, provide an understanding of the contribution of Ephesians 6:5-8 in the relationship between workers and employers. The researcher uses a literature study and interprets the text with the method of theological interpretation. In addition, the author also distributed a questionnaire among church youth who had worked, to obtain a picture of their understanding of work theology. From the results of the questionnaire distributed, it was found that 42.22% of youth really understand work theology, and 52.77%, understand work theology, but in its application, only 37.22% always do the correct life application. So, the researcher conducted deep interviews with several respondents and found that the youth of the HKBP Tanjung Sari church were still lacking in understanding the theology of work. And then they had to be afraid and trembled like Christ and had to be honest and have integrity at workplaces as a service to God.

Christianity has contributed to environmental degradation. In terms of their role, the church youth are ipso facto part of such a contribution. However, an eco-theological diagnostic analysis cannot interpret the role of youth, especially black youth, through the same lenses. From a Black theological perspective, black youth’s role should be interpreted and discussed in terms of what Fanon and Biko describe as ‘self-hatred’ and the need for black consciousness. It is such self-hatred that gives rise to environmental degradation that is not articulated within various eco-theologians’ strategies towards care for the environment in a neo-colonial context in South Africa. The article argues that such a deficiency in eco-theological literature needs some attention to address the future black youth’s contribution to a friendlier environment. The author therefore suggests a ‘missional consciousness’ for one of the strategies for black youth in the quest for the black youth’s participation in environmental care.Contribution: This article contributes to the broader discourses on ecotheology. It affirms the contributions on human beings’ role towards the environment, but further highlights the inequality among human beings in neo-colonial context and how ecotheology should approach the ecological crisis with consideration to such a context. Therefore, the contribution brings into dialogue the post-colonial discourse, specifically the discourse of black consciousness, in relation to a missional consciousness in resolving the ecological crisis through the participation of church youth. Ecotheology has not specifically considered the notions of ‘missional consciousness’ and ‘black consciousness’ in its discourse on protection of the environment. The author relates this discussion specifically to church youth.

during the time of growth and development, youth needs a place to share their experience in family, school, church, and society. The church needs to evaluate the youth ministry that has been doing, so the church can see the effectivitas of each event they did to reach young people. Youths are called and sent to participate in every ministry in the midst of the church. Being a participatory, creative and innovative youth in the midst of the congregation, not a youth who must always be served or demand service from people around him (church). The youth service in the church can be interpreted as that youth are the church itself as individuals who have experienced the work of salvation and sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, so it means that the presence of the church youth in his life is a picture of the church's presence itself, with the duties and responsibilities of the church that has been inherent automatically in him. Youth have the same duties and responsibilities as other congregations. The method used is a qualitative method.

Abstract Background The ways church youth make sexual decisions are incompletely understood and yet important for public health interventions. This study aimed to examine personal religiosity influences on the sexual decisions by church youth from the country of Botswana, taking into account their sense of personal agency. Method Participants were 235 Botswana Pentecostal faith church youth (females = 67.2%, male = 32.8%; age range 12–23 years). They completed measures of personal religiosity, personal agency, sexual abstinence, and contraception use predisposition. We analysed the data applying Structural Equation Modelling to test five paths - personal religiosity to personal agency, personal agency to abstinence, personal religiosity to abstinence, personal agency to contraceptive use, and personal religiosity to contraceptive use. Results Results suggest that personal religiosity influences the youth in their sexual abstinence and contraception decisions through personal agency. High personal agency, but not personal religiosity, was associated with pro-sexual abstinence, and contraception use was associated with religiosity. Personal agency augmented the likelihood of both abstinence and contraception use decisions among the older church youth and with church youth with higher levels of formal education. Conclusion Church youth likely adopt discretionary sexual behaviours over the developmental period from early to older adolescents, which would make them more receptive to public sexual health messages. Personal agency appears to be an important resource for public health interventions aimed at influencing church youth’s sexual decisions.

The number of young people who fall into the trafficking of drugs is increasing. The phenomenon of the number of prisons and detention centers inhabited by people assisted by drug cases is no longer a secret. It is not uncommon for church youth to be counted on that number so that components of the Church such as pastors, assemblies, service activists, and other elements of society deserve to give a more serious portion of attention. Because the face of the future church cannot be separated from the Church Youth today. This research departs from this fact and the services of North Sumatra STT students at the Rehabilitation Center in Medan. More than fifteen years of experience in this area is worth exploring through field research. The method used is qualitative and with 28 people who are the objects of research from the Rehabilitation Center. Data were obtained from students who actively carry out mentoring services to Rehabilitation Institutions, Rehabilitation Institution Managers, and patient families from some of the objects (patients). The results show that there are five steps; understanding the counselee, giving loving help, the role of a father, and family prayer, provides a better change despite the variety of outcomes (cures) of people who have participated in the rehabilitation program. Pastoral care and the care of family or parents add to the healing process. This has something to do with spirituality and the pattern of pastoral Christian counseling services provided. But on the other hand, the formation of habits in serving students of the Theological College (STT) needs to be pursued through pastoral counseling services with assistance to people who are addicted and follow rehabilitation programs.
