The epidemiological significance and biological character of Triatominae are frequently explored, but errors in morphological terminology are common. We discuss the importance of using morphological terminology correctly. The incorrect use of the term “wing” to describe the hemelytron in the study of Triatominae is pointed out. The correct and standard use of the term hemelytron (pl. hemelytra) to describe the forewings is suggested.

The realities of today's sport indicate that the achievement of high sports results is not only due to high-quality technical-tactical preparation for the competitions but is also associated with a number of medical-biological character factors (Dmitriev & Gunina, 2020). For instance, one of the most important constituents of the training process in all sports events is a properly selected balanced diet, which takes into account the competitive activity specifics, the peculiarities of physical loads, the athlete individual physiological and psychological characteristics (Gunina et al., 2018; Malkina-Pykh, 2007). Therefore, every year the attention of scientists in the field of sport is more and more focused on the issue of athlete eating behavior management as a factor of increasing the competitive activity efficiency, which determines the urgency of this research topic. Besides, in the scientific literature, the psychological components of nutritional support in sport have received almost no attention. Available publications have mainly addressed the peculiarities of athlete nutrition in certain sports events (Polievsky, 2015) almost neglecting external and internal factors that influence the athlete eating behavior, which makes the presented topic especially interesting for study. The purpose of this study was to identify the psychological factors that determine the peculiarities of nutrition and diet in sports, and to determine the degree of their influence and methods of psychoregulation. Previous researchers have reported changing of CAL affect cycling power production (MacDermid & Edwards, 2010; Martin & Spirduso, 2001; Too & Landwer, 2000), lower limb joint angle, cadence (Barratt et al., 2011 & 2016; Candotti et al., 2007; Christiansen et al., 2013), pedal torque (Hull & Gonzalez, 1988), lower limb muscle activity (Watanabe, 2020), and V̇O2 (Ferrer-Roca et al., 2017; Morris & Londeree, 1997).

Introduction: Proneural and mesenchymal subtypes are the most distinct demarcated categories in classification scheme, and there is often a shift from proneural type to mesenchymal subtype in the progression of glioblastoma (GBM). The molecular characters are determined by specific genomic methods, however, the application of radiography in clinical practice remains to be further studied. Here, we studied the topography features of GBM in proneural subtype, and further demonstrated the survival characteristics and proneural-mesenchymal transition (PMT) progression of samples by combining with the imaging variables. Methods: Data were acquired from The Cancer Imaging Archive (TCIA, http://cancerimagingarchive.net). The radiography image, clinical variables and transcriptome subtype from 223 samples were used in this study. Proneural and mesenchymal subtype on GBM topography based on overlay and Voxel-based lesion-symptom mapping (VLSM) analysis were revealed. Besides, we carried out the comparison of survival analysis and PMT progression in and outside the VLSM-determined area. Results: The overlay of total GBM and separated image of proneural and mesenchymal subtype revealed a correlation of the two subtypes. By VLSM analysis, proneural subtype was confirmed to be related to left inferior temporal medulla, and no significant voxel was found for mesenchymal subtype. The subsequent comparison between samples in and outside the VLSM-determined area showed difference in overall survival (OS) time, tumor purity, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) score and clinical variables. Conclusions: PMT progression was determined by radiography approach. GBM samples in the VLSM-determined area tended to harbor the signature of proneural subtype. This study provides a valuable VLSM-determined area related to the predilection site, prognosis and PMT progression by the association between GBM topography and molecular characters.

As the prospect of self-authored human extinction increasingly appears as a plausible scenario of human futures, a growing number of efforts aim at comprehending it as the prospect of the world without us. Patrícia Vieira convincingly shows in her essay on utopia and dystopia in the Anthropocene that utopianism has become a prominent interpretive strategy to render the possibility of human extinction meaningful. This brief reflection argues against the feasibility of considering the world without us in utopian terms. It identifies three tacit assumptions in utopian interpretations of our disappearance: they (1) take for granted that prospects of human extinction and post-apocalyptic themes are of the same kind; (2) presume that the biological character of human extinction needs no special attention when situating it with the social character of utopian thinking; and (3) remain committed to an anthropocentric view in assuming that we are the ones to attribute meaning even to the world defined by our absence. In challenging these assumptions, the essay develops three theses on the relation of utopia and the prospect of the world without us.

Plectranthus neochilus’ tea is widely used for medicinal purposes like digestive disorders, liver problems, hangover and to a lesser extend, for treating respiratory infections. It is one type of “boldo” used in different corners of the world because it has a year-round growth, easy adaptation and environmental resistance, tolerating intense sun and demanding little manipulation. This review aims to compile the up-to-date information about P. neochilus obtained from scientific databases (ScienceDirect, Springer, Google Scholar and PubMed). The plant was recently identified and differentiated anatomically and microscopically from anothers also called “boldo”. Many compounds were identified in their extracts (aqueous, ethanolic, hexane among others). The most recent studies point out the importance of its essential oil, rich in mono and sesquiterpenes. Some activities presented by these extracts or essencial oil are: antioxidant, insecticidal, antibacterial, antifungal, anticancer and antischistosomal activity. In relation to the non-traditional use of the plant, it is used to promote phytoremediation or to be used in green roof. P. neochilus has versatility use and high valuable biological character therefore, more studies are necessary with more extracts and formulations of their oil in order to verify activities in different experimental models.

The purpose of the research carried out by the authors is to establish the causes for the appearance of the African swine fever (ASF) virus on the territory of Ukraine and the mechanisms of its most widespread distribution. In this case, special significance was granted to studying the role of an anthropogenic factor in the context of a confirmation or denial of a possible diversion by the country-aggressor under the existing conditions of aggression against Ukraine. Attention was also paid to a prediction of the long-term spreading of the pathogen along with the development of recommendations for the implementation of preventive measures based on international experience of those struggling against ASF for the purpose of counteracting the threat posed by its biological character and how this would then affect national security and the extent of economic losses to the state. Key Words: biological diversion; African Swine Fever (ASF); source of ASF infections; ASF agents.
