With this article we aim to present a transdisciplinary conception of the relationship between neuroscience and psychoanalysis, especially Kleinian, in the field of epiphenomenos linked to resentment, its meaning and fundamental mechanisms of a psychoanalytic and biological nature. The article is the result of a theoretical-qualitative study based on the experience of the authors, some with more than 30 years of clinical experience in the area of mental health, psychoanalysis and neuroscience, added to a bibliographic review that consists mainly of books in the field of psychoanalysis, analysis and Freudian psychoanalysis, Kleinian and Jungian, a total of 21 books researched, as well as articles in the field of neuroscience. Researched in the PubMed, Medline and Scielo databases in the period between 2000 and 2020. Epistemological trimming involves elements such as objectual relationship, neurotransmitters, structures and neural circuits involved in the phenomenon of resentment. Texts that were outside the qualitative and transdisciplinary scope of the study of the text were excluded. We use the intuitive-interpretative method whose conclusion reinforces the viability of the understanding of psychoanalytic phenomena such as psychic determinism and object relations via intersection with neurobiological mechanisms that are developed through mental operations (mentalization), and psychopharmacological intervention and neuromodulation by transcranian magnetic stimulation, thus expanding knowledge on the subject for the areas in question.

The article  examines the transformations of man in the modern cultural space in the ethical and axiological aspect. Emphasis is placed on understanding the transformations of the «external», which are associated with (self) construction of the image of man and the human body, through the prism of artificial/natural dichotomy. It is noted that the common directions of «human improvement» are based on such values as the cult of the ideal body, the cult of youth, the cult of beauty, the superpowers of the human body. Emphasis is placed on the problem of the limits of permissible artificial interference in the biological nature of man to preserve the natural human essence.

‘The case for atheism’ investigates the case for atheism, which does not depend on proving God does not exist but on making a good case for naturalism. The atheist’s naturalism consists in the view that a human being is a biological animal rather than some kind of embodied spiritual soul, as many religious believers think. The strong evidence all points to our biological nature. We need to think about inductive and abductive arguments concerning atheism as well and differentiate atheism from agnosticism, before assessing whether atheism is a faith position. What are the arguments for religious belief?

This chapter will describe the biological nature of viruses belonging to the Coronaviridae family. Coronavirus disease or COVID-19 which, with its ever-expanding attack around the globe has become the topic of discussion of the current era. The disease is caused by a SARS-CoV-2 virus which belongs to the Coronaviridae family. This family of the virus has a history of pandemic significance through its attacks of SARS and MERS since the year 2000. They are known to have affinity towards respiratory tract and any disease that erupts out of their group have caused mild and severe respiratory infections globally. Thus, understanding the virus by learning the characteristics of its familial strain will help us to combat their attack even after mutation in the future. This chapter also discusses the pathogenesis of each virus organism in this family, as well as their clinical characteristics and diagnostics, in order to understand their disease-causing pattern and the efficacy of vaccination in mitigating the worst outcomes of the disease.

Human cognitive abilities are considerably diverse from basic perceptions to complex social behaviors. All human cognitive functions are principally categorized into a two-order hierarchy. Almost all of the first-order cognitive abilities investigated in behavioral genetics have been found to be dominantly heritable. However, the origins of the human second-order cognitive abilities in metacognition and mentalizing so far remain unclear. We here systematically compared the origins of the first-order and second-order cognitive abilities involved in the metacognition and mentalizing tasks using the classical twin paradigm on human adults. Our results demonstrated a double dissociation of the genetic and environmental contributions to the first-order and second-order cognitive abilities. All the first-order cognitive abilities involved in the metacognition and mentalizing tasks were dominantly heritable. In contrast, the shared environmental effects, rather than the genetic effects, had dominant contributions to the second-order cognitive abilities of metacognition and mentalizing in human adults. Hence, our findings suggest that human adults' monitoring sensitivities in metacognition and mentalizing are profoundly sculpted by their social or cultural experiences, but less preconditioned by their biological nature.

The solution of the problem of determining the features of the process of emergency management of medical and biological nature in the region with unstable natural and climatic conditions in the conditions of constantly changing information load on the crisis management bodies is considered. Within the framework of the set task the modern tendencies of change of natural and climatic conditions in Ukraine and their influence on dynamics of distribution of medical and biological danger are analyzed. To consider the natural and climatic features of medical and biological emergency management on the example of the Cherkasy region as a region with unstable natural and climatic conditions. The obtained results allow, using innovative organizational and technical methods of prevention of emergencies of a similar nature, to further form a modern method of counteracting emergencies of medical and biological nature, supplementing these methods with an effective system of crisis management. It is determined that on the territory of Ukraine there is a sharp and heterogeneous change of weather and climatic conditions, which leads to potential negative consequences, as a man-made ecological nature, namely: thermal overload of a number of territories; increase of flooding areas; reduction of areas and violation of the species composition of green areas; increase of natural hydrometeorological phenomena; reduction of quantity and deterioration of drinking water quality; disruption of the normal functioning of energy systems and medical and biological nature, namely the increase in the number of infectious diseases and allergic manifestations, their modification and uncharacteristic growth and change of distribution areas; secondly, the nature of changes in weather and climatic characteristics in the Cherkasy region of Ukraine and its corresponding territorial location in relation to global climatic world processes defines the latter as a region with unstable weather and climatic conditions that territorially inhomogeneously affect the spread of medical and biological emergencies. Key words: emergency situation, mathematical model, medical and biological danger, anti-crisis management, unstable natural and climatic conditions.

AbstractSexual behavior is a core activity not only for our genes, but also for individual happiness. It is therefore important to assess how this aspect of life functions in industrialized nations. Adopting the idea that society should aim at maximizing happiness, the question is whether the present situation is optimal, or if we should strive toward cultural changes that may improve the impact of sex. Sex is associated with some of the strongest rewards the brain has to offer, and consequently should serve to improve quality of life. There are, however, numerous pitfalls in that sex easily elicits negative emotions. Certain aspects of sexuality may reflect what is referred to as a ‘disease of modernity’; that is, the present environment is causing an increase in the prevalence of sex-related misery. The text use both an evolutionary and a bioecological perspective to understand human behavior. Biological (nature) and ecological (environment or nurture) factors are considered in order to assess how to improve the impact of sex on quality of life.

Purpose. The aim of the study is to characterize the image of the snake as a chthonic creature in Khakass culture. Based on the goal, the following tasks were set: to analyze folklore and ethnographic information of these people and identify the key components of this mythological creature, to discover the semantic connections of its image with natural objects and elements, as well as with the idea of death. The work is based on the analysis of a wide range of sources. For the first time, it introduces field ethnographic and archival folklore materials, as well as author translations from Khakas into Russian of excerpts from heroic legends – alyptyg nymykhtar, proverbs and sayings related to the topic under consideration. Particular attention is paid to the lexical analysis of the myth-ritual complex related to the image of the snake. Results. As a result of the analysis, the following conclusions can be drawn: 1) the image of a snake was widespread in Khakass culture. This reptile was endowed with sacred attributes. In this connection, its image was widely used in language, folklore, and ritual practice; 2) the formation of characteristic features of the mythological image of this reptile was influenced by its biological nature, first of all, the morphology of its body, behavior, lifestyle, way of hunting, and, of course – the environment; 3) with all the variety of symbolic characteristics of this reptile, the key is its perception, as a chthonic creature. It was closely associated with the cult of natural objects, in particular with respect for the land. Its deep connection with the underworld is revealed; 4) in religious and mythological consciousness of the Khakass, this reptile acts as an inhabitant of the world of the dead, and is also a harbinger of death, and often its personification; 5) in mythological consciousness, the projection of its zoological features was expressed mainly in endowing its image with features such as agility, cunningness and greed, which was reflected in phraseological units.
