On 11 January 2018, the Act on amending certain acts in order to increase the participation of citizens in the process of selecting, functioning and control of certain public authorities was passed. The legislator decided that the new legal regulations in the local government system laws were to lead to an increase in the participation of citizens in the process of control and functioning of public authorities, thus, also of local government authorities. In addition, it was to contribute to an increase in the role of local communities in the process of electing bodies coming from general elections, as well as in the control of this process and the bodies responsible for the preparation and holding of elections. Among the “new” legal solutions that have come into force in the current term of the local government authorities (2018–2023), one should distinguish those thanks to which the scope of control powers of local councillors has been extended. These include, first of all, the right to obtain information and materials, access to the premises where these information and materials are located, and access to the activities of the local government office, as well as companies with the participation of local government units, commercial companies with the participation of local government legal entities, legal persons, as well as establishments, enterprises and other local government organizational units, in compliance with the provisions on legally protected secrecy, secondly, the right to address interpellations and inquiries to the village mayor (mayor, city president), starost or voivodeship marshal, thirdly, the obligation to establish a complaint committee, motions and petitions in order to consider complaints about the activities of the executive body and local government organizational units, as well as motions and petitions submitted by citizens.

Abstract We point out the necessity of resolving the apparent gauge dependence in the quantum corrections of cosmological observables for Higgs-like inflation models. We highlight the fact that this gauge dependence is due to the use of an asymmetric background current which is specific to a choice of coordinate system in the scalar manifold. Favoring simplicity over complexity, we further propose a practical shortcut to gauge-independent inflationary observables by using effective potential obtained from a polar-like background current choice. We demonstrate this shortcut for several explicit examples and present a gauge-independent prediction of inflationary observables in the Abelian Higgs model. Furthermore, with Nielsen’s gauge dependence identities, we show that for any theory to all orders, a gauge-invariant current term gives a gauge-independent effective potential and thus gauge-invariant inflationary observables.

The paper deals with the issue of new terms in the information society. The authors consider the concepts of neologism, legal term and terminoid giving examples. The paper states that currently the process of neologization in the Russian-language legal discourse is characterized by the fact that one of the active sources of terminology are terminoids which initially operate in new fields of law and function for nominating innovative technologies in law. The authors mark two ways of appearing new terms in legal terminology with regard to the language of civil contracts. Focusing on borrowing as one of the most productive sources of replenishing legal terminology, the authors consider new lexemes connected with innovative concepts and digitalization. The paper shows the analysis of terminological units borrowed from the English language. The authors conclude that the current term system of both legal discourse in general and the sphere of civil law in particular is flexible, mobile, susceptible to previously unproductive ways of forming or borrowing terms, and even the use of terms with the preservation of English spelling, as well as metaphor terms.

Diversos indicis documentals i paisatgístics així ho assenyalen.   Paraules clau: Ramon Muntaner, Xilvella, Les Cases de Bàrcena, Xirivella, cròniques   Abstract: “My farm called Xilvella” where Ramon Muntaner’s chronicle begins has been traditionally identified with the current municipality of Xirivella, south of the city of Valencia, although at the same time doubts have always remained, given the lack of documentary evidence to confirm it and the existence of some to disprove it. In this article we propose another location for the farm of Ramon Muntaner, that is, the rural area that appears in the Llibre del Repartiment of James I as Xilvella al-Xarquia, in the current term of Les Cases de Bàrcena, a district north of the same city of Valencia. Several documentary and landscape indications point this out.   Keywords: Ramon Muntaner, Xilvella, Les Cases de Bàrcena, Xirivella, chronicles

Abstract The naming of diseases is a critical aspect of public health communication. In light of the recent renaming of the ‘Wuhan novel coronavirus’ to COVID-19, the names of other health threats must be reviewed. In particular, a new name is urgently needed for the global challenge typically referred to as ‘antimicrobial resistance’. The current name is inconsistently used, difficult to pronounce and lacks meaning for lay audiences. It also fails to express the magnitude of the phenomenon’s potential consequences for human medicine. This article reviews and evaluates key findings from several cross-disciplinary streams of research on the psycholinguistic properties of names. These include early psychology literature pertaining to the concept of ‘word attensity’, recent cognitive research on ‘processing fluency’ in the context of word recognition, and relevant marketing literature examining the components of successful branding strategies. Three key criteria—pronounceability, meaningfulness and specificity—are found to influence the perception of names and these are discussed in the context of antimicrobial resistance. The article demonstrates that the current term of ‘antimicrobial resistance’ falls short with regard to all three criteria and concludes with specific recommendations for the creation of a new name. Only the strategic choice of a single term that is (i) short and easy to pronounce; (ii) intuitively meaningful to lay audiences and indicative of the existential threat linked to antimicrobial resistance; and (iii) uniquely associated with the topic of antimicrobial resistance is likely to bring about overdue change in the global discussion of antimicrobial resistance.

This chapter discusses the experience of a neurologist who works with patients diagnosed with Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures (PNES). There are still a number of neurologists who call this disorder “pseudoseizures,” so the neurologist always try to remind them that the current term is “PNES.” Hearing their condition called “pseudo” bothers many of these patients. Moreover, many of them have not been treated kindly in hospitals and have sometimes been accused of “faking” their symptoms when they come into the hospital, so the least neurologists can do is to not use this term. Unfortunately, getting doctors to stop using “pseudoseizures” is hard to do. The neurologist then describes that the greatest frustration working with patients with PNES is that it can be so difficult to find a therapist who takes their insurance. Even if they do take it, they may sometimes still not want to treat these patients because they do not know much about PNES and so they send them back to the neurologist.

Conventional Test System means that the test is done using paper and pencil or the current term Paper-Based Test (PBT), the constraints and shortcomings of the PBT system are no longer effective & efficient. Sorong State Vocational School 1 still uses Paper-Based Test (PBT) to carry out School Exams. Conventional systems must be replaced by computer information technology using Computer-based Tes         This research resulted in an offline Computer Based Test (CBT) based test system at SMK Negeri 1 Kabupaten Sorong. The CBT system makes it easier for student and teacher examinations, the use of exam paper is reduced, examination of exam results is more efficient and effective, it can save time and money. This application system can be used for grading assignments, daily tests and midterm, final exam can even be used as a national exam tryout. The exam analysis system can make it easier for teachers or principals to accept student exam results and analyze students' abilities more quickly. Students at SMK Negeri 1 Sorong Regency will become accustomed to examinations using a computerized system or using an android mobile phone.

Significance The ADMM-Plus is primarily a confidence-building forum, but Esper will need to navigate various issues that will affect US security relations in South-east Asia for the remainder of President Donald Trump’s current term. Impacts The forthcoming US election could further diminish Trump’s attention towards multilateral meetings. US defence ties with Singapore and Vietnam will grow more easily than with Thailand and the Philippines. US counterterrorism cooperation with South-east Asian states will likely grow.

A developing interest had shown as late in structure closest neighbor search arrangements inside Elastic search–one of the most well-known full-content web indexes. In this paper, we focus explicitly around Elastic search and Features Nearest Neighbor search (ESFNNS), which accomplishes sensitive speedups over the current term coordinate gauge. Features Nearest Neighbor search performs the image retrieval, which integrates the features of color, shape, and texture. This will engage an Elastic search with the capacity of quick data retrieval and accuracy when compared to the FENSHSES method.
