Based on the current background of airport management and flight-gate scheduling in China, this paper takes Shanghai Pudong International Airport’s flight number of the rising and landing aircraft in a certain day as the research object, and it establishes an uncertain FGAP (Flight-Gate Assignment Problem) multi-objective programming model under the framework of uncertainty theory. Using genetic algorithm to solve the model, the specific flight-gate assignment scheduling plan is given. The research results show that the model in this paper can effectively alleviate the problems, such as unbalanced flight-gate allocation and excessive operating pressure of a single gate, in the conventional model, and make the allocation and scheduling more reasonable and efficient. Finally, we give the future application of uncertainty theory in finance and management, as well as the prospect of combining it with symmetry in physics.

Passengers’ requirements in relation to the Airport Service Quality is rapidly increasing and forcing companies and airport management to improve the services performances. It is clear that this enhancement can not overlook the implication of competitive issues and economic concerns. In this paper the authors deal with the optimization of the check-in area management in the international airport of Lisbon. The proposed bi-criteria objective function minimizes the operational costs plus the costs measuring the passengers’ discomfort in terms of waiting time in line. The quality of the supplied check-in service is measured and mapped into the Levels of Service system standardized by the International Air Transport Association. The type of passengers and their stochastic behavior and preferences are simulated by a discrete event model. The operational costs and the passengers’ satisfaction are optimized by an algorithm based on the Surrogate Method, the performance of which are compared to those of a greedy heuristic and of a genetic algorithm.

he COVID-19 pandemic has paralyzed the economy in many countries. The Indonesian government decided to implement large-scale social restrictions to handle COVID-19. This policy encouraged various activities to be carried out at home. Some companies decided to encourage their employees to work from home (WFH). This study aimed to explore HR policies during the COVID-19 pandemic in maintaining employee performance in airport-management companies. This research used online questionnaires to reduce face-to-face interaction and was assisted by the HR departments in the companies. This research confirmed that HR practices and perceived organizational support positively influenced job performance. This study could not show the role of employee well-being as a mediator, which is related to HR practices and POS not having been proven to affect employee well-being. In addition, the results did not show that employee well-being affects job performance. Keywords: Maintaining Employee, Organizational Support, Performance, HR Policies, Work From Home

The policy on the construction of Yogyakarta International Airport was responded with a rejection by the public that ended in quite a prolonged conflict. The conflict occurred because of the competing interests between the interests of the government to build an airport and the interests of the residents to stay in that location. In seven years since 2011, the conflict had de-escalated quite significantly from 2018 to 2019. This research analyzes strategies for conflict de-escalation, in which negotiation and mediation become its operating method. Researchers used a qualitative approach to extract data from actors involved in the conflict, namely the community living in the three villages most affected by the airport construction, representatives from Angkasa Pura I as the airport management authority, and representatives from the Local Government. In-depth interviews were conducted with ten key informants determined by purposive technique. The result of this research shows that the de-escalation of the conflict was managed to achieve through a persuasive approach that involved all of those concerned.

The Covid-19 pandemic that is currently happening has become a scourge for the community and has had a quite wide impact on almost all industrial sectors, especially in the aviation industry. Government directions that require individuals to carry out social and physical distancing have made noteworthy changes to the flight forms and methods. The aim of this research is to assess the effect of implementing policies or regulations issued by the government regarding the handling of Covid-19 on aviation safety, especially in the airport operations sector. The approach of this research is descriptive qualitative, while data collection uses interview techniques and distributing questionnaires to airport personnel and airport management. This study resulted in findings that the aspect of aviation safety, especially for users of air transportation services, remains a top priority for airport operators even though during the Covid-19 pandemic, this is evidenced by the application of Biosafety Management and Biosecurity Management in the implementation of flight operations at airports. however, it is necessary to establish good collaboration and coordination with operators between modes of transportation other than aircraft in the airport area to prioritize the safety of users of transportation services by implementing health protocols.

Soekarno Hatta International Airport and Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport are located in the Jabodetabek metropolitan area which is the largest area for air transportation users in Indonesia. Along with the increasing number of users of air transportation modes, a multi-airport system is needed to reduce the burden on one airport. The method used is a qualitative analysis method by comparing existing data with data obtained from research to determine a multi-airport criteria. From the results of data processing, it is concluded that the development of a multi-airport system in the Jabodetabek metropolitan area has several criteria, namely airport distance, accessibility, airport management, airport route services, passenger demand as well as government regulations and policies governing the multi-airport systems.

The continued development of the world economy with increasing competition in various businesses including the aviation business. Indonesia's own aviation business where management is centralized which is given to PT Angkasa Pura I and II as companies that manage large airports throughout Indonesia. The airport management rights were later misused by PT Angkasa Pura I and II to conduct monopolistic practices. Based on the decisions of the Commission, both companies should be excluded from the application of the Competition Law, proved to have committed abuse of monopoly power by creating barriers to entry for other business actors. And the activities carried out by the airport management in the process of cargo and mail at airports not included exceptions contained in the Act. No. 5 of 1999 regarding monopolistic practices and unfair business competition because of what was done by the airport management have broad impact to the national economy due pentetapan too high a rate which causes the price of goods that dikirimakan through cargo and mail also increased, as well as their indekasi monopolistic practices such as other businesses can not carry on business without government approval of airport and PT. Angkasa Pura I and II
