Abstract. The paper offers a mathematical model of the process of coextrusion flexible manufacturing section functioning. On the basis of dynamic programming method an algorithm of controlling transport unit of coextrusion flexible manufacturing system is developed. The objective of the current research is the development of the mathematical model of the flexible manufacturing complex for processing multicomponent materials functioning process, and construction of the algorithm of controlling a transport unit of a coextrusion flexible manufacturing complex for processing multicomponent materials on this basis. The paper offers the criterion of evaluating the quality of controlling the transport unit. The chosen variant of controlling the transport unit has to meet many requirements. This paper con-siders the issues connected with the search for an optimum algorithm of control-ling a transport unit according to the set criterion. Most works offer analytical models which are based on the assumption of the current processes’ stability. Real manufacturing conditions are characterized by the effect of numerous perturbing factors. Under such conditions the assumption of the current processes’ stability makes the obtained models almost untrue.

The organization and execution of the transport of dangerous goods is conditioned by a series of legal, technical, technological, safety, and engineering requirements, which must be met. In this way, a complex system is created which has a large number of participants and in which optimization should be performed at each stage from all the above aspects. The main goal of this paper is to create a novel Fuzzy-Rough MCDM (Multiple-Criteria Decision-Making) for the evaluation of companies engaged in the transport of dangerous goods. A group decision-making model was created to evaluate 11 transport companies based on nine legal, technical, technological criteria. The improved fuzzy stepwise weight assessment ratio analysis (IMF SWARA) method was used to calculate the criterion weights, while transport companies were ranked based on Rough Measurement Alternatives and Ranking according to the COmpromise Solution (R-MARCOS). The integration of these methods into a single model that combines two theories of uncertainty, fuzzy and rough, was performed for the first time in this study, which represents a significant contribution. The results show that the most significant criteria are as follows: dangerous goods are classified and permitted under ADR (Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road), the prescribed documents are in the transport unit, and the equipment is in the transport unit. When it comes to the evaluation results of companies, it can be noticed that A1 and A4 show the best performance, while A8 and A9 are in the last position. In order to test the stability of the model developed, sensitivity analysis, comparative analysis, and the influence of the dynamic formation of the initial matrix were created.

Improving the operational efficiency of mobile energy vehicles is one of the main factors contributing to increased productivity while significantly reducing non-productive energy costs. Of no small importance are developments that are associated with the improvement of the design of transmissions of wheeled agricultural mobile energy vehicles, for which an indispensable condition is to increase labor productivity in agricultural production. The achievement of the required characteristics of mobile energy vehicles is determined by the properties of the transmission, as well as the interaction of the systems associated with it. One of the main qualities of the transmission is the ability to absorb torsional vibrations and damp the load. The article presents studies on establishing the constructive improvement of the transmission of a mobile energy vehicle by installing a developed elastic-damping mechanism in it using the example of a tractor of a small traction class. Taking into account the relevance of the topic under discussion in this article, it is necessary to determine the effect of the elastic-damping mechanism installed in the tractor transmission on its operation with a transport trailer, based on the field measurements carried out using the method of correlation — spectral analysis. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the elastic-damping mechanism installed in the power transmission of a tractor on its operation with a transport trailer. In this article, the analysis of the cross-correlation function and the analysis of the mutual spectral density of two processes were carried out: the engine crankshaft speed and the drive wheel speed. The analysis of the cross-correlation function shows the change in the propagation speed of the passing frequencies of load oscillations along the shafting by 39%. The analysis of the mutual spectral density shows that there is an absorption of a part of the load fluctuations propagating along the shafting and a shift in the frequency of disturbing influences by up to 68.3%.

Modeling the effects of leakage in the transport of hazardous liquids is a highly topical issue, not only in the field of environmental engineering. This article’s introduction presents relevant information and statistical sources, analyzes selected scientific and professional publications, and characterizes the results of selected research projects. The applied approaches, methods, and results of our research specify the processes of developing and testing a theoretical model of spreading the impacts of leakage of hazardous liquids on biological components of the environment. The proposed model for predicting the environmental impacts of hazardous liquid (HL) leakage during transport is a crucial risk management tool in the planning of transport of dangerous goods. It also enables the creation of comprehensive information systems that monitor the transport unit in real-time, indicate the presence of significant habitats along the transport route, and draw attention to possible threats, in particular to the health and lives of people and the environment. The main result of the presented research is the application of a computational model for determining the parameters of the dangerous zone in case of HL leakage and its graphical plotting along the transport route, estimating the probability of impacting the selected place by leaking HL. The model application results are presented in the form of calculated frequency of impacting the set of points in the vicinity of the HL transport route. Defined standardized frequencies of HL infiltration above a specified limit in liters per square meter in the event of leakage of the entire volume of HL from a road tanker (leaked volume of 30 m3) form the basic set of information for creating relevant risk maps near busy traffic routes and subsequent selection of ecologically and spatially optimal routes.

Abstract The importance of automated guided vehicles in flexible manufacturing systems is increasing because they can flexibly respond to changes in facilities and factory layouts. Herein, we propose an autonomous conveyance system for automated guided vehicles based on the operation of a taxi transportation system to solve indefinite and accidental problems. The system focuses on the application of traffic engineering knowledge to a flexible taxi transportation system. A taxi is a transport unit in a traffic system, with high adaptability to traveling routes and arrival/departure points. We also propose a task linear density based on transport density, which is an indicator of the scale of transport, such as that of rail transport. We evaluated the efficiency of an automated guided vehicle (AGV) transportation system that introduced waiting and cruising operations, which determine the taxi behavior, using the task linear density. The results indicate that the average matching time and task linear density were negatively correlated and that the transport efficiency improved when the P/Ds were frequently transported to a centralized location.

During a baling operation, the operator of the baler should decide when and where to drop the bales in the field to facilitate later retrieval of the bales for transport out of the field. Manually determining the time and place to drop a bale creates extra workload on the operator and may not result in the optimum drop location for the subsequent front loader and transport unit. Therefore, there is a need for a tool that can support operators during this decision process. The key objective of this study is to find the optimal traversal sequence of fieldwork tracks to be followed by the baler and bale retriever to minimize the non-working driving distance in the field. Two optimization processes are considered for this problem. Firstly, finding the optimal sequence of fieldwork tracks considering the constraints of the problem such as the capacity of the baler and the straw yield map of the field. Secondly, finding the optimal location and number of bales to drop in the field. A simulation model is developed to calculate all the non-productive traversal distances by baler and bale retrieval in the field. In a case study, the collected positional and temporal data from the baling process related to a sample field were considered. The output of the simulation model was compared with the conventional method applied by the operators. The results show that application of the proposed method can increase efficiency by 12.9% in comparison with the conventional method with edited data where the random movements (due to re-baling, turns in the middle of the swath, reversing, etc.) were removed from the data set.

Improving the efficiency of using tractor-transport units (tractor trains) in the central agricultural zone of the Amur Region is an economically important issue, especially relevant for small peasant farms. This is due to the fact that in such farms the area of fields occupied for the cultivation of agricultural crops is relatively small, while most of them belong to the category of slope lands. It was also found that during the periods of sowing and harvesting operations, traffic on agricultural roads is hampered by safety conditions due to regional climatic features, which include a large amount of precipitation. In this connection, the use of vehicles for the transportation of seed, fertilizers, plant protection products and other goods, and the export of crops in these conditions seems to be a rather complicated operation. It should be borne in mind that in many, the main energy means are wheeled tractors of class 1.4, and not cars of various cross-country ability, therefore, in order to increase the efficiency of the use of available mechanization means, it is necessary to use them for the transport of goods, and as part of multi-link tractor trains in particular. At the same time, when driving on on-farm field roads with a limited width, the turn of multi-link trains is difficult due to the failure of the second and subsequent aggregated trailers to comply with the safe transport corridor, since the second trailer, when turning, shifts to the center of the road and creates an emergency situation for oncoming traffic. In order to eliminate the identified shortcomings and create safe conditions for traffic, an automatic device was developed that allows you to shift the second trailer when turning from the center to the side of the passing traffic, thereby regulating the transport corridor and not creating emergency situations for oncoming traffic. The paper presents the results of experimental studies on the use of a transport unit consisting of a class 1.4 tractor and two 2PTS-4 trailers in the production modes of multi-link tractor trains.
