For the purpose of significantly reducing the processing time of the apple harvesting robot during the harvesting process, it is highly necessary to carry out the corresponding studies on the methods for rapid recognition and trajectory planning. Through the comprehensive application of information relevance, the image processing area can be reduced. For image recognition and trajectory planning, the related template matching algorithm for removing the mean value and normalization product can be adopted, and segmentation methods based on different threshold values can be used for the realization of the effect. Subsequently, the comparative experiments are properly carried out to verify the effectiveness of the method used.

Personal information has been likened to “golden data”, which companies have chased using every means possible. Via mobile apps, the incidents of compulsory authorization and excessive data collection have evoked privacy concerns and strong repercussions among app users. This manuscript proposes a privacy boundary management model, which elaborates how such users can demarcate and regulate their privacy boundaries. The survey data came from 453 users who authorized certain operations through mobile apps. The partial least squares (PLS) analysis method was used to validate the instrument and the proposed model. Results indicate that information relevance and transparency play a significant role in shaping app users’ control–risk perceptions, while government regulation is more effective than industry self-discipline in promoting the formation of privacy boundaries. Unsurprisingly, privacy risk control perceptions significantly affect users’ privacy concerns and trust beliefs, which are two vital factors that ultimately influence their willingness to authorize. The implications of conducting a thorough inquiry into app users’ willingness to authorize their privacy information are far-reaching. In relation to this, app vendors should probe into the privacy-relevant beliefs of their users and enact effective privacy practices to intercept the economic and reputational damages induced by improper information collection. More significantly, a comprehensive understanding of users’ willingness to authorize their information can serve as an essential reference for relevant regulatory bodies to formulate reasonable privacy protection policies in the future.

The author discussed the technology of building the library’s website devoted to local heritage based on practical experience. The essential features and relevant presentation formats (longread, storytelling) are described. The detailed set of structural elements and key services to be introduced to the webmaster as a requirements specification are formulated. Specific Internetmarketing instruments promote the web content. Based on the proposed technology, libraries will be able to draw up relevant requirements specifications for any type of cultural institution (e. g. library, museum, etc.), to include every service or element of external and internal system design essential for the institution’s mission. The requirements to website coding and content (information relevance and verification, multimediality, new forms of text presentation) are included. The tabulated services and structural elements of thematic websites will enable to formulate requirements to webmaster intelligently.

It is indispensable to improve decision usefulness for decision-making process for business. This study attempts to seek a framework of expanding a concept of decision usefulness (DU) through a regulatory-process check and a review of financial information literature and the extent to which future research opportunities could emerge from this DU concept for the improved decision usefulness (IDU). The regulatory process and research trends on financial information show that financial-information decision has evolved from reliability-driven to relevance-driven financial-information theories and moves forward to international accounting standardization issues. To this end, the development of ‘synthesis’ theories and approaches in financial information offers many future empirical-study chances for improved decision usefulness. Keywords: Decision Usefulness; Financial Information; Reliability-Driven Financial Information; Relevance-Driven Financial Information; International Accounting Standardization.

PurposeAlthough crisis communication via social media has engaged academia's attention during the disease outbreak, information value for preventive behaviors is inadequately studied. The purpose of this paper is to cast light on how to strengthen the uptake of older people's coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) behavioral outcomes due to information value and perceived threat through social media.Design/methodology/approachThis study designs a survey and applies structural equation modeling to examine a research framework. A sample comprises 334 Vietnamese older participants who have utilized social media.FindingsThe results illustrate that preventive behaviors are determined by perceived threat (i.e. severity and susceptibility). Furthermore, older people heighten risk perceptions based on information characteristics, including information relevance, informative support and source credibility. Lastly, information relevance is a strong predictor of source credibility.Practical implicationsThe findings assist practitioners to enhance crisis communication effectiveness via social media by imparting valuable information to the public. Moreover, this paper offers overarching guidelines on the improvement in credibility with creators, risk consciousness and preventive behaviors.Originality/valueAlthough earlier studies focused attentiveness on the power of social media for raising threat perceptions, this work seems the first to unveil informative motives for perceived COVID-19 threat across older individuals, which subsequently presents plausible reasons for behavioral disclosure, including facemask-wearing, hand-washing and social distancing.

Improving healthcare services has been paramount to both the national and county governments in Kenya. However, this broad national goal has failed to be achieved within the health sector in Kenya due to dilapidated systems, lack of coordination and poor quality of the health records within the industry. The current study sought to establish the influence of quality health records on improving healthcare in Kerugoya Level IV hospital. Specifically, the research focused on the creation of health information, relevance of health information, completeness and accuracy of patient’s health information and accessibility of health information on the improving of health services. The research was grounded on the negativity theory. The research adopted a quantitative design with a population of 288 staff members being targeted in the study. The sample respondents were 165 staff members with both quantitative questionnaires and interview schedules being utilized in the research. The study adopted quantitative techniques in the data analysis and thematical analysis. The findings showed that 87% of the sample respondents were able to participate in the study. The research concludes that creation of health information, relevance of information and accessibility of health records are significant predictors to improved healthcare services. The research revealed that the level of management support and resource availability are positive and significant predictors of the level of improved healthcare services in Kerugoya level IV hospital.  The study findings noted there is a positive but insignificant relationship between completeness and accuracy of health information and improved healthcare services within the level IV hospital. The study recommends that the hospitals should improve the digitalization of health records which will foster storage and accessibility. The hospitals should also enhance coordination with the national government to improve their health infrastructure.

The paper considers a methodology that makes it possible to determine the relationship between useful, distracting and interfering information. The proposed methodology allows you to evaluate the relevance of information supplied to a specialist. The situation when a specialist, based on the information received, makes certain decisions and performs the assigned tasks is considered. The regularity of the change in the probability of performing these functions on the amount of information received and information capacity has been established. The regularity of the change in the probability of performing these functions on the amount of information received and information capacity has been established. It is shown that the equation of information dynamics is an information analogue of T. Malthus's population model. This makes it possible to use well-known methods of analysis and extend the results obtained to other mathematical models. The procedure for selecting models that take into account various restrictive effects is considered. The factor of self-limitation is taken into account. The transition to an informational analogue of the Quetelet-Verhulst population model is justified. The external limiting factor is considered in the context of the influence of distracting and disturbing information. A predictive model for determining the pattern of changes in information ability is proposed. This model takes into account the speed of information flow under ideal conditions and the destructive influence of distracting and interfering information. The procedure for using the model is reviewed. This procedure provides an introduction to the calculations additional variable to take into account the influence of distracting and interfering information. The regularity of the change in the additional value and its relationship with information capabilities have been determined. It allows you to go to the procedure for finding out the potential value of the relevance indicator. A relationship has been established to determine the relevance indicators, which make it possible to take into account the potential amount of useful, distracting and interfering information. The relationship between the current and established values of relevance indicators has been established. The classification of the effects of distracting and interfering information is carried out. Relevance characteristics for the prevailing equal and weak influence of interfering and distracting information compared to useful information are analyzed. Methodology of using the relevance characteristics is considered. The ratios that make it possible to quickly assess the relevance indicator at predetermined control points and to determine the time to reach the control values of the observed values are established. The situation that arises under very strong and very weak influences of distracting and interfering information is analyzed.
