Apple trees with red flowers are especially attractive during the flowering period, making ones a desirable component of ornamental plantings. 30 samples of apple trees with anthocyanin organ coloring in the collection of Scientific Laboratory "Genetic resources, introduction, and breeding of unusual fruit and ornamental crops", located in Agronomic Research Station of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine have been studied. In 2001 phenological observations during blooming and morphometric analysis of flowers and leaves were carried out, also decorativeness was evaluated. The dominant gene that controls the anthocyanin pigmentation of organs in the apple tree comes from Malus niedzwetzkyana. Now the rank of this taxon is reduced to a variety – M. domestica var. niedzwetzkyana. Niedzvetzky’s apple was involved in crossing with small-fruited apple species to develop ornamental hybrids, some of which received nothospecies names, and in the breeding of fruit varieties and rootstocks of M. domestica. According to the International Code of Nomenclature for Cultivated Plants, varieties with anthocyanin-colored petals having in the pedigree M. domestica var. niedzwetzkyana can be distinguished as Malus Niedzwetzkyana Group. If the Malus Niedzwetzkyana Group is supplemented with varieties with anthocyanin color of petals that originate from other species of apple trees, e.g., M. halliana and M. spectabilis, then the expanded Group can be called Malus Purpurea Group. At the same time, some varieties may belong to other Groups, in particular, Malus Pendula Group, Malus Redflesh Group, etc. The highest decorativeness (5 points) during blooming is inherent for the samples Nos. 2332 'Makamik', 2947, 3100 'Aldenhamensis', 3157 'Pionerka', 3305, 3382, 3540, 3592, 3601, 3603, 3656, 3691, 3692, 4292 and hybrids '17-279', '17-316', '18-275', '18-293', '18-325'. The samples No. 1723 'Lawn Krasnolepestnaya', 3314 'Royalty', 3375 'Black Pearl' are slightly inferior to them in decorativeness, but they have a special habitus or intense anthocyanin color of the leaves, which gives them certain advantages. The use of these samples allows you to establish a conveyor of elongated flowering of red-flowered apple trees at green construction sites.

The restoration of Ukraine’s independence in 1991 created favorable conditions for the powerful development of domestic ethnomusicology. Ukrainian musical folklore research has a long tradition, but for a hundred years the research has been conducted in difficult historical and political realities. This did not contribute to the proper development of folk music research, especially in the Soviet period. The period 1991–2021 is quite interesting, although difficult and ambiguous. The revival of Ukrainian ethnomusicology began in the early 1990s. Unfortunately, not all initiatives have been continued. Many initiatives had to be stopped due to financial difficulties, political circumstances, lack of sufficient specialists and so on. This article was inspired by the need to summarize everything that has been done in Ukrainian musical folklore over the past 30 years, to consider the achievements of Ukrainian ethnomusicology in 1991–2021. Previously, there was no general research on this topic, because various Ukrainian scientists have written about certain aspects of ethnomusicological work and about different time periods in the history of musical folkloristics of the period of independence. The research will be published in two parts: in this issue of the yearbook the main Ukrainian ethnomusicological centers will be presented, the state of domestic ethno-pedagogy will be discussed, documentation (field and archival) of folk music will be considered. The next issue will analyze the scientific, publishing, conference, promotional activities of Ukrainian researchers of folk music. Kyiv and Lviv have been the main Ukrainian centers for the study of folk music since the early twentieth century. The same is true today: the basic Ukrainian ethnomusical centers are the Rylsky Institute of Art Studies, Folklore and Ethnology (IAFE) of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music of Ukraine and the Lysenko Lviv National Academy of Music. Research Scientific Laboratory of Music Ethnology and Departments of musical folklore were opened in both Academies in the early 1990s. Well-known scientists, doctors of science and PhD, and their junior colleagues work in these centers. Publishing activity is developing: encyclopedias, monographs, folklore collections, collections of articles, periodicals are published. Kyiv and Lviv higher music institutions publish the only in Ukraine purely ethnomusicological yearbooks of scientific articles and materials – «Problems of music ethnology» and «Ethnomusic». Regional ethnomusicological centers operate in many cities of Ukraine – Kharkiv, Odessa, Dnipro, Sumy, Rivne, Uzhgorod, etc. During the period of Independence, ethnomusicological education was actively developing. The two main areas are the education of ethnomusicologists-theorists and ethnomusicologists-practitioners, leaders of folklore ensembles. The first ones are prepared mainly by Kyiv and Lviv Music academies, where various specialized disciplines are taught. The second is taught in higher educational institutions of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Rivne, Sumy. An important area of activity of almost all Ukrainian ethnomusicological centers in the period of Independence was the documentation of folk music: the collection of musical folklore, transcription and archiving. Folk music was most actively collected in the early 1990s, but over time this work has slowed down, in part because authentic tradition is dying out and living in the passive memory of performers. Today the largest archives of folk music are in IAFE and Kyiv and Lviv Music academies. Archival collections are actively digitized, some materials can be found on the Internet – both on special sites-archives of folk music, and YouTube channels, which usually refer to the different ethnomusical centers. The main prospect of Ukrainian archivists engaged in musical folklore is the creation of the Central Electronic Archive of Ukrainian Folklore

The article presents the results of research of honey as a dessert in hotel and restaurant complexes of Bila Tserkva region. The analysis of researched samples of honey with the use of laboratory researches which were carried out in the conditions of scientific laboratory of chair of safety and quality of foodstuff, raw materials and technological processes of Bila Tserkva national agrarian university is carried out. The research was conducted in accordance with the national standard of Ukraine DSTU 4497. according to generally accepted methods. Color, taste, aroma, consistency, crystallization, signs of fermentation were determined organoleptically using the sensory method of analysis of honey. It was found that in all samples the color of honey was from light yellow to yellow, with a pleasant taste and aroma, without signs of fermentation and the content of mechanical and other impurities. The diastasis number of honey samples used by hotel and restaurant complexes is 14, 10 and 8 units, respectively. Goethe, which indicates the heating of part of the honey. Thus, the results of research have shown that honey, which is used in hotel and restaurant complexes of Bila Tserkva region as a dessert in terms of organoleptic indicators, meets the requirements of the national state standard.

Aim of the Study. To examine the correlation between skin AGEs and parameters of distal sensorimotor polyneuropathy (DSPN) in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Materials and Methods. We included 132 subjects (88 men) with a mean age of 64.57 years and median T2DM duration of 14.5 years. Skin AGEs were measured with AGE reader mu connect (Diagnoptics) on the dominant arm. The device enables single and automated triplicate measurements: both of these were performed. DSPN was diagnosed through the neuropathy disability score (NDS). Small nerve fibre function was assessed by temperature and pinprick sensation on the foot. Bilateral measurement of the vibration perception threshold (VPT) on the hallux was carried out by using a neurothesiometer (Horwell Scientific Laboratory Supplies). Results. Single and triplicate AGE measurements were positively correlated with each other (Pearson’s correlation coefficient r = 0.991 , 95 % CI = 0.987 -0.994, p < 0.001 ). AGEs were higher among subjects with vs. those without DSPN ( p < 0.001 ). Furthermore, they were higher among subjects with reduced vs. normal temperature sensation ( p < 0.001 ), among subjects with reduced vs. normal pinprick sensation ( p = 0.002 ), among those with abnormal vs. normal monofilament examination ( p < 0.001 ), and among those with abnormal vs. normal VPT ( p < 0.001 ). AGEs were correlated with NDS, VPT, and monofilament score. Conclusions. In T2DM, skin AGEs are increased in the presence of DSPN. This holds true both for large and for small nerve function impairment. Moreover, AGEs are correlated with DSPN severity.

Biomass energy is an important component in the overall structure of renewable energy and has the greatest potential for increasing volumes.  However, the peculiarities of the properties of agro-industrial residues are a significant disadvantage of their widespread use.  The process of torrefaction allows to bring the characteristics of biofuel as close as possible to thermal coal.  Different degree of heat treatment of biomass leads to a product with different heating value.  Therefore, it is important to know the optimal mode of torrefaction, which will provide the best energy parameters of biofuels.Researches of torrefaction were carried out on the basis of educational and scientific laboratory "DAK GPS" of the State Agrarian and Engineering University in Podilia.  The kinetics of the relative mass of different types of biomass at different processing temperatures was considered.  The dependence of the degree of torrefaction on the heat treatment temperature is revealed. As shown by studies for most biomaterials of plant origin, we can distinguish the beginning of intensive transformation and its end, after which there is a sharp slowdown in weight loss, and, accordingly, and the energy density of the samples.

Objective. The study aimed to perform a comprehensive morphofunctional assessment of the effectiveness of recreational activities in children aged 9–12 years in the summer of 2019.Materials and methods. The study was conducted by the “Problem scientific laboratory of physical methods of diagnosis and treatment” of RostGMU in the children’s health and recreation camp “Mir” (Krasnyi Desant village, Gulf of Taganrog). Procedures and time of the study: somatometry, bioimpedance analysis, сardiointervalography, stabilometrics on the 2nd day of stay and 2.5 weeks after. Two groups were formed: Group I included overweight children (OW), n = 15 (boys, n = 9; girls, n = 6); Group II included children with normal physical development (NPD), n = 37 (boys, n = 17; girls, n = 20). The children received a non-drug complex of camp resource provision for 3 weeks.Results. Health measures did not lead to significant changes in the somatometric parameters. According to the results of the сardiointerval recording, an authentic increase in the variational range and vegetative rhythm index was found in children with NPD, which indicates an increase in the parasympathetic activity of regulation. The stress index decreased by 30% in the case of NPD, and by 6% in the case of OW. Data from the stabilometric “Balls” simulator showed that after the recovery, the regulation of postural control was optimized, and decision-making processes were accelerated, especially in children with NPD.Conclusion. The study showed that in order to assess the effectiveness of recreational activities, along with “mandatory” methods, it is advisable to use functional methods such as cardiointervalography and stabilometrics, which can be recommended for use in health and rehabilitation institutions to assess the adaptive capabilities of the organism.
