Technology has revolutionized the world and our daily lives over the years. Technological advancements have had a wide-ranging impact on our lives, such as the dramatic shift in communication. This study is to determine what affects the purchase intention of Gen Z towards Electronic gadgets. Using the Descriptive Analysis and Cluster random sampling, data is collected through an online survey with the respondents of 150 in selected cities of Metro Manila. And findings suggest that brand identity plays a significant role in influencing the purchase intention of Generation Z. The people who will benefit from this paper are Businesses, Entrepreneurs, Future researchers, and retailers. It will give them enough information to be knowledgeable about the purchase intention of Gen Z consumers when it comes to electronic gadgets.

The article problematizes state penality as a mechanism of repression of precarious workers through a war on drugs in the Philippines. The narratives of 27 arrested ‘drug personalities’ in Metro Manila tell of how methamphetamine energizes bodies and motivates minds for productive work. Bidding to be classified as willing and able workers and family men, the study’s participants orient to a moral stratification that pits the ‘moral versus immoral’ and the ‘hardworking versus lazy’. Qualifying their drug use as strategic and calculated, they uphold the neoliberal values of individual choice and accountability. Their support for the anti-drug campaign stems from their recognition of a drug problem and the socioemotional toll of the dysfunctions of living in the slums. While trade liberalization facilitates methamphetamine inflow, a war on drugs fuels an authoritarian populism. As the state reaffirms symbolic mission to protect its citizens, it blames precarity to a problem population.

Manila Bay is a shallow coastal water encompassing the urban areas of Metro Manila and variouscities of sub-urban provinces in the Philippines. It is a relatively shallow semi-enclosed basinwith an average depth of 20 m whose coastal areas are crowded with residential, industrial, agricultural, and aquaculture production. Its shallow depths imply that the effect of wind stress onsea level becomes appreciable in driving storm surges even during enhanced Southwest Monsoonand the passage of moderate storms.Using a dispersive long-wave model coupled with the significant wave model of the CoastalEngineering Research Center (CERC), the occurrence of potentially devastating storm surgeflooding around Manila Bay was numerically simulated. A unique characteristic of the new modelis the inclusion of the dispersive terms in the associated momentum balance equations. Deepwater gravity waves are always dispersive and inclusion of the dispersive terms is expected toprovide more accurate modelling results. The predictive capability of the model was verified using observations during the passage ofseveral storms including Typhoon Milenyo (2006) and Typhoon Pedring (2011). The occurrenceof the anomalously high storm surge of about 2.5 metres during the passage of Typhoon Pedringfar north of the area was correctly simulated. Numerical integration of the dispersive long-wavemodel with the addition of higher order terms in the momentum balance appears to give accuratepredictions of the coastal flooding due to storm surges and waves. The hydrodynamic set-down which occurs in many coastal areas during strong typhoons can besimulated well by the model. A new empirical model for the hydrodynamic force exerted by thecombined action of storm surges, waves, and extreme currents is also presented. Initial calculationsof hydrodydynamic forces generated by an actual typhoon crossing Manila Bay are discussed.

COVID-19 have been widespread all over the world.  Mineral supplementation and Vitamin intake may help to reduce the severity of the common cold. This study determines the Knowledge, Attitude, And Practices of Consumers About Mineral and Vitamin Supplementation to boost immune system for COVID-19.  178 Participants who lived in the NCR Bubble particularly Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal, and Bulacan., 18-years old and above were chosen by convenience sampling. To get the appropriate data needed, the researchers divided the questionnaire into 4 parts such as Demographics, Knowledge, Attitude, and Practices using likert scale. Descriptive analysis of frequencies and percentages for demographic characteristics, KAP assessment and likewert interpretation was applied. The respondents' knowledge, attitude, and practices toward micronutrient supplementation were evaluated. Results showed that the respondents have a very good understanding, belief, and practice of mineral supplementation and vitamin intake to boost the immune system.  Before the pandemic, 178 respondents did not take mineral supplements; nevertheless, 58 respondents (32.58 percent) took vitamins, and 117 respondents (65.73%) took both mineral and multivitamin supplements. On the other hand, 61 (34.27%) respondents took vitamins, while 120 (67.42%) respondents took both mineral and vitamin supplements during the pandemic. In addition, the intake of these supplements increased during pandemic. Self-willingness (28.65%) was the most common response to factors linked with mineral and vitamin consumption prior to the pandemic, whereas doctor's prescription was the most common response during the pandemic (44.94%). The level of micronutrient supplementation practiced by the respondents was also applied because they knew and believed that it could reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection.

As the cosmetic industry becomes saturated, businesses are trying to attain innovative ways to get customers to purchase skincare products. This study aims to discover the linkage of sustainable packaging design elements of skincare products to consumer purchase decisions. The study consisted of 385 respondents residing within Metro Manila and used random sampling and correlational quantitative design, and a survey questionnaire as the instrument. Before the survey dissemination, the instrument was tested for validity and reliability. The pilot involved 30 respondents, and the alpha value returned a value of 0.852. Regression analysis was used to determine the statistical significance of the variables. The findings suggest that sustainable packaging plays an important role in influencing consumer purchase intention, influencing the consumer purchasing decision. Thus, researchers will be gathering insights from the data to develop innovative and sustainable packaging.

Abstract Background and Purpose Throughout the years, stroke has remained one of the primary causes of significant morbidity and mortality. Among the therapeutic options for acute stroke management, endovascular thrombectomy intended to remove the thrombi within the intracerebral vasculature and restore adequate perfusion to the surrounding penumbra. It was recommended for eligible patients who were within 6—24 hours after the onset of neurologic symptoms. In the Philippines, only a few tertiary healthcare institutions were able to offer and perform endovascular thrombectomies. The aim was to describe the profile and discharge outcomes of endovascular thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke at a tertiary hospital in our country. Methodology: In this retrospective study, 924 patients were admitted for acute ischemic stroke from October 2018 - August 2021. However, only 31 patients underwent mechanical thrombectomy and their records were thoroughly reviewed. Clinical and functional outcomes were measured using the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Modified Rankin Score (MRS), respectively. Results Among the patients included in the study, 29 subjects (93.5%) had moderate to severe disability (MRS 3-5) and 17 (54.8%) had moderate stroke (NIHSS 5-15) on admission. The identified site of the cerebrovascular thrombi was within the M1 segment of the middle cerebral artery (41.9%, n=13). The stent retriever approach was performed in 19 of the subjects (61.2%). Upon discharge, only 17 (22.6%) had favorable functional outcomes (MRS 0-2) and 6 (19.3%) resulted in mortality. Conclusion Overall, endovascular thrombectomy is a promising treatment strategy for large vessel acute ischemic stroke in a developing country.
