This paper aims to improve the protection of two-wheelers. This study is divided into two parts: a helmet unit and a vehicle unit. The primary unit is the helmet unit, which contains a sensor, and the second part is known as the alcohol sensor, which is used to determine whether or not the driver is wearing the user helmet correctly. This data is then transmitted to the vehicle unit via the RF transmitter. The data is encoded with the aid of an encoder. Suppose the alcohol sensor senses that the driver is intoxicated. In that case, the IoT-based Raspberry Pi micro-controller passes the data to the vehicle unit via the RF transmitter, which immediately stops the vehicle from using the Driver circuit to control the relay. To stop the consumption of alcohol, the vehicles would be tracked daily. If the individual driving the vehicle is under the influence of alcohol while driving, the buzzer will automatically trigger. The vehicle key will be switched off.

: A basic wheelchair is a gadget for people influenced by moderate, extreme physical incapacities and interminable disease. It is also meant for the elderly people. Many people with disabilities cannot manage the energized wheelchair operating joystick, sound, furthermore, hand developments as it is harder for the individual to do such specific tasks also it is programming focused. This strategy comprises of equipment which reduces the person's work utilizing the image processing method. This model comprised of a camera that tracks the eyeball movement and hence the position of the pupil by the image processing technique. And thereby the wheelchair is constrained by a user’s eye gesture in an indoor space. When the development has been initiated and it is given to the Raspberry pi for processing. The procedure relies on the feed coding and an output is given into the driver circuit. Likewise, the hindrance location sensors will be associated as an Emergency Brake that gives necessary conditions for the conventional activity of the wheelchair framework. Every one of the four wheels are associated with a driving circuit that moves the wheelchair

Road accident is an unintended incident which is responsible for deaths of people worldwide. According to National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), more than 1, 35,000 people die every year annually in Indian road accidents. The most significant cause is drunken driving and not wearing helmets while driving. The main objective here is to eradicate drunken driving and helmetless driving. In this regard, an attempt has been made by using microcontroller assisted RF transmitter and receiver unit. The IR sensor detects the presence of helmet on the head. MQ3 alcohol sensor detects the alcohol level. The comparator analyse the values and gives command to relay circuit. Thus the starting of two wheelers is controlled by the application of sensors. In addition to this, a motion sensor has also been incorporated to inform the driver about the presence of nearby vehicles.

System for real time patient monitoring, have attracted noteworthy consideration in the most recent two decades. An enormous number of economical forms of patient checking systems are accessible, which were being used by approved health care experts. Notwithstanding this there is a solid requirement for online patient observing system, when the patient isn't in the emergency clinic. The principle target of this paper is to structure and execute an economical, convenient powerful patient checking observing system that can transmit the essential indications of a patient in crisis /crucial circumstances constantly through a remote communication network. Different sensors, for example, pulse, temperature, blood pressure and fingerprint are inter-faced through the microcontroller for estimating the significant physical parameters of the patient. For remote transmission, these sensors are associated with a sensor node through GSM module. Raspberry-Pi is utilized as a sensor node as it has better highlights contrasted with different controllers. Subsequent to giving system access to the Raspberry Pix board, it goes about as a server. At that point the server routinely sends estimated information to the web-server, which are additionally checked by employing web page which can be recovered from anyplace on the planet using workstations, laptops, android advanced cell and so on. The deliberate constant parameters are refreshed at regular intervals. The information procured is first stored, analyzed and projected on a webserver. The framework is executed so that, when the deliberate physiological information surpasses the threshold value, the overseer is alarmed through SMS and a voice call. Also using the proposed system, real-time remote monitoring is also carried out on the patient. Additionally, positional data of the individual can be obtained from GPS receiver as shown on the digital map and sent to the related units. Thus, the system proposed in this paper makes the individual’s day-to-day life relaxed and more comfortable.

In laymen’s terms, recycling is “good for the environment.” It involves “doing your bit” to help “save the Earth.” Yet, recycling requires high expenditures of energy and virgin materials, and produces pollutants, greenhouse gases and waste; it creates products that are “down-cycled” because they are not as robust as their predecessors, nor are such products usually recyclable themselves. Of the fifteen to thirty percent of recyclables that are retrieved from the waste stream, “almost half” are buried or burned due to contamination or market fluctuations that devalue recyclables over virgin materials (McDonough and Braungart, 56-60; Rogers, 176-179; Luke, 115-135; Rathje, 203-7;MacBride; Ackerman; EPA; Grassroots Recycling Network, Taxpayers for CommonSense, Materials Efficiency Project and Friends of the Earth). Furthermore, recycling infrastructure creates a framework where disposables become naturalized commodities instead of allowing practices of waste redesign, reduction or elimination. How is the schism between the popular perception of recycling as “good for the environment” and its less environmentally sound industrial processes maintained? By critiquing the visual culture of recycling campaigns, I argue that the meaning of recycling has been decontextualized, narrowed, and naturalized, thus functioning as a commodity sign. That is, recycling has been “abstracted from [its] context and then reframed in terms of the assumptions and interpretive rules of the advertising framework” through which it is promoted (Goldman, 5). I identify three main characteristics of the recycling commodity-sign. First, the individual, rather than government or industry, is represented as the primary unit of social change. Secondly, recycling is depicted as an act that ends at the blue bins, cutting out the industrial side of the cycle. Finally, recycling is symbolized as something that benefits the environment “in general” rather than as a specific form of waste management. Overall, I argue that recycling, instead of being a solution to environmental or waste crises, in fact constitutes a crisis of meaning that allows environmental degradation and derisory waste practices to continue.

Behavioural types (i.e., personalities or temperament) are defined as among individual differences in behavioural traits that are consistent over time and ecological contexts. Behavioural types are widespread in nature and play a relevant role in many ecological and evolutionary processes. In this work, we studied for the first time the consistency of individual aggressiveness in the pearly razorfish, Xyrichtys novacula, using a mirror test: a classic method to define aggressive behavioural types. The experiments were carried out in semi-natural behavioural arenas and monitored through a novel Raspberry Pi-based recording system. The experimental set up allowed us to obtain repeated measures of individual aggressivity scores during four consecutive days. The decomposition of the phenotypic variance revealed a significant repeatability score (R) of 0.57 [0.44–0.60], suggesting high predictability of individual behavioural variation and the existence of different behavioural types. Aggressive behavioural types emerged irrespective of body size, sex and the internal condition of the individual. Razorfishes are a ubiquitous group of fish species that occupy sedimentary habitats in most shallow waters of temperate and tropical seas. These species are known for forming strong social structures and playing a relevant role in ecosystem functioning. Therefore, our work provides novel insight into an individual behavioural component that may play a role in poorly known ecological and evolutionary processes occurring in this species.

This project proposes an automatic strategy for conveyance of products to the individual card holders. The database has subtleties of commodities distribution to individual card holders. By utilizing the android phone, the clients get to their database and they can see the stock availability. The Minutiae extraction based fingerprint matching algorithm is used for identification of individual cardholders. For automatic distribution of commodities, the DC Motors are used. The Raspberry pi controller is used to control the DC Motor and to open and close the valves

This paper examines recent trends in theory in health sociology in the United States and finds that the use of theory is flourishing. The central thesis is that the field has reached a mature state and is in the early stage of a paradigm shift away from a past focus on methodological individualism (in which the individual is the primary unit of analysis) toward a growing utilization of theories with a structural orientation This outcome is materially aided by research methods (e.g. hierarchal linear modeling, biomarkers) providing measures of structural effects on the health of the individual that were often absent or underdeveloped in the past. Structure needs to be accounted for in any social endeavor and contemporary medical sociology appears to be doing precisely that as part of the next stage of its evolution. The recent contributions to theory in the sociology of health discussed in this paper are fundamental cause, medicalization, social capital, neighborhood disadvantage, and health lifestyle theories.

This chapter lays out the parameters of one developmental approach to sexuality politics in the United States. Whereas much scholarship in LGBTQ politics has focused on public opinion, interest groups, and social movement behavior, this chapter focuses on citizenship as the primary unit of analysis since citizenship, as it connotes a relationship between the individual and the state in which the latter acknowledges the former to fall within its responsibility to regulate and protect, brings the connection between state development and sexual identity to the fore. State institutions have recognized the LGBTQ citizen in distinct ways, often simultaneously, creating frictions among multiple regulatory orders and laws and creating additional opportunity and motivation for social change. The chapter details five such modalities of state recognition and regulation suggesting that the nature of sexual citizenship is contingent on the particular order of authority with which the LGBTQ individual engages.

In todays world, Security is a matter of great concern. Security controls play a vital role in protecting resources from espionage, sabotage, damage and theft. Our proposed system is to develop a security system with improved facilities, which tries to eliminate the limitations posed by the existing security systems. The current manual security system depends mostly on human involvement, which is prone to error, and the security is concentrated only at the front door which requires subjects cooperation. To solve these issues we have proposed a Smart Watchdog System. The system watches the environment, and if there is a human activity, the system captures it. The system automatically detects faces of the individual from the activity using firmware. We have planned to maintain the database of authorised inmates and workers of a place and verifies of every individual arriver. This feature enables the system to automatically recognises the unauthorised users and gives an alert when it encounters entry of unauthorised users even without the human assistance. The system also detects the unauthorised entry in the mass. The entire system is planned to be ported to Raspberry-Pi based Embedded System supported with DC power back up. This method can be employed in ladies hostels as well as to the secured places like the data centre, atomic research centre and military where the unauthorised entry is restricted.
