In the article considered the issues of constructing a classic SWOT analysis matrix, forming a list of key factors of the external and internal environment to assess the degree of their impact on the activities of real enterprises of Ukraine, improving the method of conducting SWOT analysis through the use of scientifically based scales and indicators. The thesis justified that SWOT analysis and other classic strategic management tools are conceptually described, and their use causes many approaches to their mathematical formalization and use. We propose our own approach to quantifying the strengths and weaknesses of the enterprise, external threats and opportunities at the main ten stages. The focus is on step-by-step calculation of integrated indicators for the main groups of SWOT analysis and their qualitative interpretation. Examples of implementation of SWOT analysis for a real enterprise are given. The company’s strengths and weaknesses were identified. External capabilities and threats were analyzed. To assess the importance of indicators, a pairwise comparison technique was used, which provides for the estimation of indicators based on the average geometric value according to T. Saati. This made it possible to prioritize factors within the SWOT analysis methodology. Four quadrants are filled at the intersection of strengths/weaknesses, opportunities/threats and four types of potential strategies for the enterprise are described in the field defining: guidelines for the strategic development of the company; strategic advantages of the company; guidelines for the internal transformation of the enterprise; Limiting strategic development. Using a quantitative approach made it possible to build a SPACE matrix of strategy selection.

The article based on SWOT-analysis of outsourcing of accounting services. Accounting services can be improved if you can work on your strengths, as well as correct the weaknesses of the company or area where you lose points. SWOT-analysis is considered as a tool of strategic management to determine the feasibility of using accounting outsourcing as a way to optimize the enterprise. SWOT consists mainly of two main parts: strengths and weaknesses, which will indicate the internal aspect, and threats and opportunities related to external factors for the company (but those that are present in the environment). In essence, we test the effectiveness of the accounting services provided by the contractors that your business provides against this background. With this analysis, the firm can understand the problems, ie where they lack work and why, because these are periods during the year when work becomes fragile. Why this happens is best analyzed because of it. A set of business goals are things that outsourcing companies need to invest because simple marketing is not enough. The analysis of advantages and disadvantages of accounting outsourcing is carried out and the necessity of SWOT-analysis of potential risks and advantages of using perspectives of accounting outsourcing is emphasized. The internal and external environment was analyzed using an extended SWOT analysis model from the standpoint of strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and expected threats. Based on the results of the SWOT-analysis, a matrix has been formed that will allow predicting threats and potential opportunities at the stage of planning the use or refusal to use accounting outsourcing services.

Abstract A predetermined flow pattern in a magnetorheological damper providing continuously variable resistance to flow is required for efficient damping of a given load. The required predetermined flow pattern rests on the a priori determination of the constitutive properties of the magnetorheological (MR) fluid determined to generate variable resistance to flow. The inverse problem of constructing the predetermined response of the damper with a specific displacement pattern of the piston in the damper for efficient damping of a given load is solved. The magnetorheological (MR) fluid in the damper is modeled as a Bingham phase change material with time dependent yield stress offering continuously variable resistance to the flow in the piston to achieve the required specific displacement pattern. The governing equations are solved for any time history of the dimensionless yield stress of the fluid which in turn is determined from the imposed response of the damper. Analytical tools developed can be used in optimizing damper performance. The application of the method to resonance mitigation is illustrated.

The world is progressing towards a more advanced society where end-consumers have access to local renewable-based generation and advanced forms of information and technology. Hence, it is in a current state of transition between the traditional approach to power generation and distribution, where end-consumers of electricity have typically been inactive in their involvement with energy markets and a new approach that integrates their active participation. This new approach includes the use of distributed energy resources (DER) such as renewable-based generation and demand response (DR), which are being rapidly adopted by end-consumers where incentives are strong. This paper presents the role of the DR aggregator to effectively integrate DER technology as a new source of energy capacity into electricity networks using information communication technology and industry knowledge., Based on DR aggregators, this framework will efficiently facilitate renewable energy integration and customer engagement into the electricity market. To this aim, advantages and disadvantages of DR aggregators are discussed in this paper from political, economic, social, and technological (PEST) points of view. Based on this analysis, a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis for a typical DR aggregator is presented.

Introduction. The article deals with the evaluation of the Kharkiv restaurant industry as a fractal system by means of SWOT-f analysis. Modern ideas about socio-economic systems are based on a synergistic concept that is organically linked to fractal theory. By fractal structure, the restaurant industry is a seven-tier holarchical system that contains such determinants as the assortment and quality of the restaurant service, technology, management, marketing, changes, forms of clustering and competitiveness. The systematic nature of the restaurant industry implies a similar structure of external factors. One of the common methods of strategic evaluation is SWOT analysis. The proposed method of SWOT-f analysis is a modified tool for strategic analysis of sectoral and regional-sectoral systems, which are considered as fractal structures, which ensures the adequacy of their perception and accuracy of forecasting. Purpose of the article is to identify the main parameters of the modified SWOT-f-analysis as a strategic tool for evaluating the restaurant industry, assessing the strengths and weaknesses, as well as threats and opportunities for the development of the restaurant industry in Kharkiv as a fractal system in three scenarios: pessimistic, realistic and optimistic. Method. A modified SWOT-f analysis was used to evaluate the restaurant industry, which consists in structuring the factors of influence on the activity of the enterprise on fractal principles, and also assumes the application of three development scenarios: pessimistic, realistic and optimistic. Result. It is determined that SWOT-f-analysis is a more expedient tool of strategic analysis, since it contains all elements of classical SWOT-analysis; structured as a holarchical system, which gives it greater logic; built on evolutionary principles; has a more reasonable connection between internal structural elements and environmental factors; and also allows to define the limits of setting the goals of the enterprise development in pessimistic, realistic and optimistic scenarios. The assessment of the strengths and weaknesses, as well as the threats and opportunities for the development of the restaurant industry allowed to identify a more logical and structured profile for each scenario.
