The main function of education is to broadcast the content and values of culture. This mission is especially important in modern society, when information and possession of it can be used as a positive factor in selfrealization and success of man, community, or project, and as a manipulative or simply destructive factor in relation to the subject and society. That is why critical thinking and dialogical model of communication are defined as fundamental principles of the modern paradigm of education.

Representasi Ukhuwah Islamiah dalam Film Pendek

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adegan yang merepresentasikan adanya Ukhuwah Islamiah, tentang bagaimana adegan ukhuwah Islamiah ditinjau dari Semiotika model Charles Sanders Piece. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis Semiotika Charles Piece yang mengkaji dengan konsep Segitiga makna yaitu Representamen/tanda, Interpretant dan object. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan 14 representament adegan yang merepresentasi ukhuwah Islamiah dalam film Cinta dalam Ukhuwah. Adapun object yang merepresentasikan ukhuwah Islamiah adalah nuansa-nuansa dari ekspresi tokoh atau keadaan-keadaan yang sedang tokoh lakukan. Intrepretant yang didapat ialah bahwa dalam film tersebut menunjukan adanya faktor perusak dan penguat ukhuwah Islamiah dari perilaku-perilaku yang ditunjukan dari representament dan object. Effectiveness of State Support for Regional Agriculture

The article analyzes the effectiveness of measures of state support for regional agricultural enterprises. Special attention is paid to the study of the level of achievement of the stated goals of the State program for the development of agriculture and regulation of markets for agricultural products, raw materials and food in the Tambov region. It was revealed that it was not possible to achieve all the goals set at the moment. There has not yet been a drastic increase in the level of self-sufficiency of the region with many basic food products and the level of economic availability of food. In the region, a serious decline in soil fertility continues and the problem of employment of the rural population has not been fully resolved. A destructive factor in the implementation of goals is that many of them are “blurred”, and some of them do not have any means of evaluation, i.e., target indicators and indexes. Based on the analysis, the authors developed proposals for clarifying the stated goals in terms of specificity and feasibility, linking the goals with the implementation of specific program-target and project tools, and assigning appropriate indicators (indexes) to each of them.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, yang mengkaji konsep segitiga yaitu representasi/tanda, interpretant, dan objek. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan 14 adegan representasi yang merepresentasikan persaudaraan Islam. Adapun objek yang merepresentasikan persaudaraan Islam adalah nuansa ekspresi seorang tokoh, atau keadaan di mana orang berada. Penafsiran yang diperoleh dalam film tersebut menunjukkan faktor perusak dan pendorong persaudaraan Islam dari sikap yang ditunjukkan oleh representasi dan objek.

Time in creating human situation. On the regulatory function of time

The article dwells on the role of time in regulating human behaviour. A twofold role (subjective and objective) of time was shown in the context of activity theory by Tomaszewski. The twofold role of time is a reflection of a character of a task-oriented situation. Time, being a fundamental objective condition of action, has both autotelic and instrumental values. Human behaviour in a given situation depends on an ability to use the time as a creator of actions as well as a destructive factor, leading to difficult situations. When analyzing behaviour, both instrumental and autotelic characters of time should be taken into account.

The nation of Indonesia is the pluralist nation. The plurality suggests the existence of a difference. The understanding and management of plurality would generate a positive force for the development of the nation. On the contrary, when it is not understood and managed properly, the plurality of faiths and cultures can be a destructive factor and trigger a disaster. Conflict and social violence that often occurs between community groups are part of the plurality of religions and cultures that are not managed properly. Religious conflict as happened in Maumere (1995), Surabaya, Situbondo and Tasikmalaya Rengasdengklok (1996), (1997), Solo, Jakarta and Kupang (1998), Poso, Ambon (1999-2002), not only claimed the casualties is not a little, but it has also destroyed hundreds of places of worship (whether a church or Mosque) caught fire and was destroyed. Similarly, notes smelling of ethnic violence, such as certain ethnic violence in West Kalimantan (1933), Central Kalimantan (2000). Necessary preventive measures as early prevention efforts, so that such events do not reoccur in the future. Peace education is an effort bring education more tolerant, understanding the diversity of religions, ethnicities, and cultures.
