The paper presents immediate and long-term results of early invasive treatment tactics in 467 patients with various forms of unstable angina (UA), including 129 patients with unstable rest angina, 225 patients with unstable exertional angina, and 93 patients with a new onset angina. Percutaneous coronary interventions on a symptom-affected artery at a single procedure were performed in 213 cases (48%), indications for coronary artery bypass grafting were identified in 182 patients (41%), and only in 52 cases (11%) the treatment was limited to medicinal therapy. Coronary angiography performed in the initial 12–48 hours makes it possible to identify the indications to myocardial revascularization, to avoid inconsistencies in the choice of optimal treatment tactics and non-invasive risk assessment.

Fifteen dogs were presented with complete blindness that progressed over 2-4 months. Diagnosis was confirmed that dogs had leishmaniasis through direct observation of the amastigotes within the blood cells, PCR testing and phylogenetic analysis. Gross pathologic and histopathologic examinations were performed for two dogs that were severely debilitated and humanely euthanized. Systemic involvement including decreased appetite (n=8), generalized weight loss (n=4), generalized lymphadenopathy (n=3), icterus (n=3), polyuria and polydepsia (n=2), lethargy (n=5) and four dogs were presented without any systemic involvement. All dogs had bilateral panophthalmia (n=30 eyes) manifested by cataract, anterior uveitis, posterior uveitis, retinal detachment, peri-ocular alopecia, conjunctivitis, blepharitis, keratoconjunctivitis and glaucoma. Detailed ultrasonographic ocular lesions were described; histopathological examination confirmed the ongoing changes within the eye. Leishmaniasis should be considered in the differential diagnosis of dogs with bilateral ocular involvement especially those not responding to symptomatic medicinal therapy.

With the purpose to determine the prevalence and significance of the influence of various clinical factors on the glycemic control of patients with diabetes mellitus type II, 118 case histories of a therapeutic hospital were analyzed. Analysis of the documentation included the identification of concomitant diseases and conditions, as well as the use of medicines that could directly or indirectly affect the level of HbA1c detected in the patient's blood. In the first case, the presence of such a pathology or condition was revealed in 35 patients (29.7% of the contingent). Moreover, in the 22s they influenced the direction of false understatement, and in 13, on the contrary, its false overestimation. Acceptance of medicines that had significant potential for falsification of the determined level of HbA1c was observed in 39 patients (33.1% of the examined). The quantitative values of the possible analysis error as a result of such influences are discussed. The need for a more thorough analysis of the upcoming course of medicinal therapy for patients with diabetes mellitus type II, including with the participation of a clinical pharmacist (pharmacologist), is indicated.

Medicinal plants have long been used as an alternative in the treatment of diseases, whether using extracts, essential oils and / or bioactive components. Thus, the use of medicinal plants, with popularly known effects for the treatment of infections, has gained prominence, in research related to extracts and essential oils of medicinal plants, in an attempt to discover and future application of new molecules with antimicrobial and / or effect coadjuvant molecules to antimicrobials on the market. Studies with species of Melaleuca spp., Demonstrate wide application of its essential oil, without treating skin infections, microbial infections, herpes, diseases associated with pathogenic microorganisms of the oral cavity. The emerging microbial resistance to the drugs currently available on the market, has been affected by both researchers and the general population, so that the research experimented with was conducted revealing a high synergistic potential between drugs and natural drugs, present in drugs. In view of the above, this study aimed to present, through a bibliographic survey, a use of medicinal plants in the face of microbial resistance, as well as medicinal therapy based on the use of essential oils from alternative tea tree, leucadendron tea tree and quinquenervia tea tree, already inclusion in the literature.

Medicinal plants are vital sources of easily accessible remedy used in the countryside healthcare system. This study aimed to find and make record of plants that are used for medicinal therapy by three communities living in Cherangani Hills. So far no single study has documented medicinal plants as a whole in the area. Ethnobotanical data were obtained through interviewing informants using semi-structured questionnaires and extracting information from journals and books. Descriptive statistical analysis was applied to describe the data. Overall 296 plant species from 80 families and 191 genera were identified. Asteraceae family was the most dominant, representing 10.7% of the total plant species recorded. Roots (35.9%) represented the most commonly used parts of the plant. The commonly used method of preparation was decoction (54.9%). The reported diseases were classified into 14 diverse ailment groups out of the 81 health conditions on their underlying user reports. Rural communities in Cherangani Hills are rich sources of plants with medicinal properties. Therapeutic uses of the compiled plants provide basic information that can aid scientists to conduct additional research dedicated to conservation of species and pharmacological studies of species with the greatest significance.

At present in the Russian Federation (the RF), an organized system of pharmaceutical provision of benefit-entitled citizens is used. With this, statutory regulation is under continuous improvement through adoption of new regulatory acts and amendments to already existing ones [1]. The basis of this process is equal opportunities and rights of all individuals for free provision with medical drugs. Nevertheless, there exist benefit-entitled categories of citizens for whom additional approaches to organization of pharmaceutical provision were adopted. Aim. Analysis of statutory regulation applicable to the existing benefit-entitled citizens. Conclusion. The established normative framework regulating pharmaceutical provision of benefit-entitled citizens both on the federal and regional levels, permits patients to receive the necessary life-saving medicinal therapy. With this, an obligatory condition for receiving such assistance is presence of a certain diagnosis or a certain social status. Far not all patients are included into the list of benefit-entitled citizens. Hence, the existing statutory regulation of healthcare requires further improvement.
