This study was carried out to examine the production of liquid fertilizer made from goat feces (LFGF) as well as the potency of LFGF for increasing plant growth and yield of vegetables. The study was conducted through 3 studies. The first study was begun with compiling a formulation for LFGF. The selected-raw-material was goat feces added with sugar and ZA, as well as EM (Lactobacillus sp., Actinomycetes sp., Streptomyces sp. and Yeast). The experimental results indicated that an increase in the concentration of ZA resulted in an increase in the total N and S content, as well as an increase EC of LFGF. Increased sugar concentration results in a decrease in pH and an increase in lactic acid content, whereas an increase in ZA decreases the formation of acetic acid. The use of sugar 25 g L−1 water and ZA 50 g L−1 water could produce the best quality of LFGF. The second study was to examine the selected LFGF combined with AB-Mix nutrient solution on the growth and yield of three types of leaf vegetables which were cultivated hydroponically. The results indicated that LFGF can potentially replace AB-Mix fertilizer by up to 50% in hydroponic vegetable cultivation. The third study was to examine the selected LFGF as nutrients availability of mustard that was cultivated in pots, given through planting media with a concentration of 1:40 L−1 water (EC 2300 μS cm−1). It shows that LFGF has the potential to increase the growth and yield of mustard plants in pots.

Microgreens of wild herbs are a source of healthy compounds. Selenium (Se) biofortification of microgreens could help increase the Se content and thus contribute to Se requirements in humans. We evaluated whether three wild herbs, Rumex acetosa L., Plantago coronopus L., and Portulaca oleracea L., were suitable for biofortification in order to obtain products with high nutraceutical value. In the first experiment, the three species were enriched with Na2SeO4 at 0 and 1.5 mg Se L−1, and the effects of Se on the nutraceutical characteristics of microgreens were evaluated. In the second experiment, using P. oleracea enriched with 0, 1.5, 5, and 10 mg Se L−1, we investigated whether there was a relation between the increasing Se concentrations in the nutrient solution and the Se content in microgreens. The Se added was taken up by roots and accumulated in the aerial part. P. coronopus exhibited the highest ability to accumulate selenium, and the Se-enriched microgreens showed the highest chlorophyll and flavonoid content. The strong correlation between the Se concentration in the growth solution and the Se accumulated in P. oleracea may enable the cultivation of microgreens with the targeted Se content. The resulting Se-biofortified microgreens of wild species could represent a new vegetable product with high nutraceutical value also ensuring a sufficient dietary intake of Se.

The advantages of this hydroponic vegetable product are that it is free of chemical pesticides, the taste of vegetables is crunchy and sweet, clean, environmentally friendly, and affordable. However, the public's knowledge and understanding regarding hydroponic vegetables is still very little and not evenly distributed in all circles, so that marketing is only limited to certain groups. This service aims to assist and assist Hydroponics 55 partners in producing healthy vegetables and developing into an Eco-tourism area. This service activity is planned to last for 3 years (2021-2024). With the following activity plans: 1) designing a green-house in agricultural areas, 2) increasing online and offline promotion and education, 3) submitting a proposal for collaboration with restaurants, cafes, hospitals and supermarkets in the city of Padang, 4) developing Hydroponic 55 businesses, in processing healthy food derived from hydroponic vegetables, 5) developing agricultural areas into Eco-tourism areas. Activities that have been carried out this year include making educational posters and promoting hydroponic vegetables and distributing them through social media, conducting FGDs with stakeholders, inviting speakers regarding greenhouse preparation and providing knowledge dissemination related to marketing tricks and eco-tourism concepts and facilitating partners in develop business licenses in processing healthy food products. The results of this activity are in the form of educational and promotional posters, proposals for making green-houses, proposals for developing healthy food processing and proposals for developing eco-tourism areas.

The main objective was to synthesize the importance of handicrafts among tourists who visited the markets "El Pueblito" and "La Diana" in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico. The methodology used was cabinet work between September 2018 and March 2019 in order to compile the existing documentary information on the study categories: souvenirs, crafts and tourism. A questionnaire made up of 26 items was also prepared, of which the responses of the most relevant that contribute to the achievement of the general objective are presented here. Among the results, it was found that the products that are most in demand among tourists are those derived from coconut, namely: coconut sweets, decorative items based on the said vegetable product of natural origin, among others. The most relevant conclusion was that from the economic point of view, handicrafts represent an important source of income for the members of the native groups that make handicrafts on a small scale with affordable costs. This research contributes to the recent international bibliography on artisan souvenirs that are elaborated with love, enthusiasm and identity, by people from the population groups originating from the various parts of the world.

Minas Frescal cheese has wide acceptance and it is part of many Brazilians' typical diet. However, it was observed that there is an increase in the search for similar products of vegetable origin, due to health problems related to the intake of dairy products. This research aimed to evaluate the potential replacement of Minas cheese by the similar vegetable cheese - tofu. Two brands of Minas Frescal Cheese (MC) and two of similar vegetable product (VS) (tofu), were assessed based on microbiological, physicochemical and sensory parameters. All samples are in accordance with the microbiological standards of Brazilian law. The pH was around 6.0. The samples MC1 and MC2 had high levels of acidity and lipids, while the VS1 and VS2 had high levels of protein. Samples with high moisture content were also the least firm (VS1 and MC1).The general acceptance of  attributes was satisfactory for samples MC1 and MC2, which would be bought and consumed, while the opposite was true  with VS1 and VS2. All samples were considered to have a salt level below the ideal level. The samples MC1 and VS1 assessed were less firm than the ideal level, while samples MC2 and VS2 were firmer than the ideal level. Tofu was not accepted as a substitute for Minas Frescal Cheese by consumers. It requires optimization of texture and salt level in order to fulfill this purpose. However, Tofu presented an advantage in relation to its low fat level and high protein level.

Radish is of great importance as an early valuable vegetable product, especially in spring and first half of summer. Due to its high taste and nutritional qualities, radish is the most popular early crop in the world practice of vegetable growing, which is grown everywhere. One of the main methods for solving the problem of providing the population of our country with marketable products of this culture is the development of selection and seed production. The creation of new competitive varieties and hybrids will help to transfer the vegetable growing industry to a qualitatively new level of development.
